If all else fails try some very fine (1200 grit) sandpaper and very lightly sand the contacts. This is easier to do if you take the pcb out of the cart first. I've managed to bring a couple back from the dead this way when alcohol & erasers failed. -S

When I was a kid I would buy ANYTHING with Pac-Man on it, including the (terrible) 2600 cart. Ms. Pac was much better, and largely mad up for how awful Pac-Man was. -S

Digging through some of my old stuff the other day I found my original 2600 cart container (complete with a 1983 calendar decal and 1982 football schedule stuck on the lid). 22 carts fit perfectly in this container in two rows of 11. It was actually sold as an index card file. In this digital age I'm not sure if such things are even sold any more, but you might check an office supply store. -S

Guess I must be lucky. There's a little store near where I live that always has a couple of big shelves full of 2600 carts for a buck a pop. -S
