  1. Have I mentioned in this thread how much I hate Fed-Ex? It didn't get delivered yesterday because the driver couldn't find my house (isn't that supposed to be his job?). Last night I called and requested that the package be held in the Tulsa location so I could pick it up at lunch today. Was it there when I went to pick it up? Why no, as a matter of fact it was not. It was out on the truck for delivery again. So tomorrow they're supposed to deliver it to me at work. Anyone care to place a wager on whether or not that happens?

  2. My guess is that they assume you'll have an MMC card or two that you will want somewhere to store.

Ah, that's probably the actual reason. I assumed that maybe there were games that came on two cards and that was the reason for the extra space. So I assume that MMC cards are the same size & shape as the game cards.

  3. Also, I don't like the "iMac" crack. It doesn't look a thing like an iMac, new or old design. Not one bit. It looks more like a bunch of higher end PC cases I've seen that tried to mimic the iMac's sense of differentness. But nothing like a real iMac at all. Not one bit. AT ALL.

Thank you for being the first one to say so. You are of course 100% correct. It looks nothing at all like an iMac, not even sure where that came from.

  4. when buying a portable dvd player the salesman warned me about dead pixels and how they spread from pixel to another like cancer.

That's just silly. I have a seven year old laptop that's had one dead pixel from day one. Never spread. My GBA SP has also had a single dead pixel since the day I got it. Still just one.

  5. I didn't know there was a Ron's in Tulsa.

There are several actually. I think the closest one to the show location is at 51st & Sheridan in The Farm shopping center. **Nope** just looked in the phone book. There's one at 82nd and Harvard, which would be closer. The trusty phone book also revealed that there is a Hideaway Pizza in the same vicinity.

Edit: can't believe I didn't think of Goldies. I love them too. I think you caould proably eat a couple more Goldies burgers than Ron's before your arteries became irreparably clogged. There's one at 51st & Lewis I think.

  6. You won't find better pizza anywhere in Oklahoma than at Hideaway. Ron's Hamburgers has the best greasy burgers in the world. Just don't try to eat two of them within the same 24 hour period or you'll almost certainly have a heart attack. ;)

Is somebody going to make the AA nametags? I definitely want to meet up with as many AAers as possible, and I'll be taking MMF up on his "have one on me" offer.

  7. I haven't gone blind playing my non-SP. In fact, I PREFER it's screen to the SP.

Really? I find it to be almost unusable unless you're in a brightly lit room or outside in the sunlight. I way prefer the SP because I can play it indoors at night (where and when I do most of my gaming) with the lights dim.

  8. The forum goers suddenly have a new toy, and hopefully they'll get tired of it soon.

I suspect you're right about that. The new will wear off the poll feature and we won't see nearly so many before long. Some of them have been kind of fun though.

  9. Well..from what Curt has told us.

The board on the FB2.0 will have the cart port location silkscreened on the main boards...but the connector itself won't physically be attached.

Given that, it makes me believe that to even attach the cart port, one would have to remove the main board from the FB2.0 and possibly have to keep it out as it most likely wouldn't fit inside the normal FB2.0 case with a cart port added to it.

I have seen the thing, but I don't know anything more than you guys do already about it. But from what I have seen, I am fairly certain the Cart port has to be soldered onto the main board, and even then, I don't know that the main board will still fit or allow access to the cart port once back in the FB2.0 casing.

Aside from this speculation, I know that currently, the FB2.0 will get is first real public appearance at the 2005 OVGE in June! Sorry, have to promote the show you know?

  10. I voted for the N-Gage QD. Why? Probably because I just ordered one and I'm still pretty enamored with it. Also I was fairly sure nobody else would and I felt sorry for the poor little guy. ;)

Close second was the GBA SP NES version.

I can't believe that so many are voting for the PSP. Yes it's got a beautiful huge screen, but otherwise it's pretty bland looking to me. This isn't to say I don't want one. I reaaaly want one. I just don't think it's a terribly nice looking system.

  11. I think I may be the only person in the world who hates the speed up chip. I ran across an original Ms Pac in a pizza place while on vacation last year, this was the first Ms. Pac I've seen in ages that didn't have the speed up chip in it. I must have played it for a half hour before my wife finally made me stop and eat my lunch.
