  1. Why resort to eBay? It's still for sale new around here. Couldn't find it at Best Buy or Circuit City, checked Wal Mart, but that was a no-go too. Seems to be one that's hard to find new at least inmy area. -S
  2. Good to hear that it can take a tumble. I know my DS has had it's share of falls (as have my cell phone, my PDA, my MP3 player and every other electronic gadget I've ever owned) -S
  3. Most likely he already sold it and lost interest in this thread. -S
  4. The only thing I'd have to think about would how to explain to my wife that I bought yet another arcade game. I'd love to own Ateroids, at $200 it seems a steal to me. -S
  5. This is from the first video as it pans across the newspaper article. Okay, those may or may not be Atari carts, and there are significantly fewer than a million in the picture. However the tag under the picture reads "All that's left - At the floor of the city's newest pit at the landfill Saturday, all that was left of eight truckloads of Atari games was rubble, squished boxes, and a lot of dust.". Seriously, I can't think of any reason why this wouldn't be on the level. If it's a joke it's not a very funny one. I guess I'm just a believer in the landfill legend. -S
  6. Wow! That's the neatest thing I've seen in at least the last 15 seconds if you don't count the bottle of Mountain Dew I just took a drink from. -S
  7. I don't own one, but I understand that the fact that they are way more reliable than the old style toaster oven NES accounts for the main reason why they fetch so much more money than the original style. -S
  8. Cleeaning contacts is easy enough that it's always worth a shot. Other than that well have to wait until Cassidy or one of the other arcade gurus sees this thread. -S
  9. Video Pinball is definitely a real game: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter...V&game_id=10313 but it's not a combo video/pinball like Baby Pac Man. The intriguing thing about this particular one is the 001 serial number and the fact that it may be a prototype. -S
  10. Have you tried pulling the JAMMA connector off the board and cleaning the contacts? KLOV has two manuals for this game which may or may not prove to be helpful: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter...=M&game_id=8634 -S
  11. Nice! Not really the same thing, but I picked up Joust & Jungle Hunt today locally for a buck apiece. Neither are rare at all, but I didn't have either. -S
  12. 2600. It was the first game system I ever owned, I grew up playing it and now I can pretty much buy as many games as I want for it. Yes there are some that are just too expensive, add that to the fact that there are so many that I will never have them all, but to me that just adds to the fun. There will always be carts out there that I don't have, meaning the hobby will contine indefinitely. -S
  13. Has anyone else noticed with everyone yelling April fools in this thread, Opcode has still not even acnowleged the fact that today is April 1. I do so hope it's not a joke though. -S
  14. Before I resort to ebay, anyone here have Link to the Past for GBA available for sale? -S
  15. I keep meaning to pick up DK/GBC, but was never sure if I would like it as much as Mario vs DK. Thanks for the endorsement. I think I'll stop by the local used game shop and see if they have it after work today. -S
  16. It's the latest handheld system, this is a video game forum, it stands to reason that most of the people here are exited about the PSP and want to talk about it. I'm sorry that you don't like it personally, but all of the PSP threads that I've seen had "PSP" in the title. Don't click on those threads, easy as that. I probably shouldn't be reading all these PSP threads either, I can feel my resolve to not buy a PSP until a price drop melting away like butter in a blast furnace. -S
  17. I'm considering getting one. I don't really consider it a handheld gaming system, I consider it to be a cell phone that has much better games than the crappy ones that came on my current phone. If I do end up getting one it will be my phone and it won't effect any future decision to buy a PSP or a DS. -S
  18. Thanks for taking the time to type those out Bruce. -S
  19. That's it in a nutshell for me. I'm sure I'll never have a complete collection, some of the carts are just priced too far out of my range. However I will continue to buy any cart locally that come across if I don't already have it. -S
  20. Until Al has a chance to host it on Aariage, I uploaded it to my web space: http://www.stingraysmadness.com/misc/atari.avi So feel free to clear your ftp space and post something else. By the way guys, for the sake of my bandwidth, please save it to disk and then view it. -S
  21. Not to mention the thing should be fully hacked by then. -S
  22. Anyone in the Tulsa area want to go in halves on a table? Like I said in a previous post I don't want my own because I don't want to have to babysit it all day. If not I'm happy just attending. Definitely going to go this year one way or another. -S
