You big tease! I hope it's the Colecovision Holodeck module. -S

Yeah, looks like oak to me too. -S

I'm interested to hear about what the playback is like. Has anyone played a converted movie from a memory stick yet? -S

Apple folks who collect might be interested in this

eMates are pretty neat, they were really developed with schools in mind, but never really took off. Probably because they were pretty pricy. I'd like to pick one up one of these days. -S -
The Radio Shack that I go to has those for 50 cents. -S

I appreciate the warning. I probably would have bought his AVP at that price. -S

Do you have a list of Gennie games that you want? -S

Why did this go for so much?

You never see boxed Colecovision carts around here. I can find 2600 carts boxed pretty regularly and Intellivision all the time, still never come across even one boxed Colecovision cart though. -S -
Interesting. I have a red one, picked it up locally somewhere, don't remeber exactly where. I didn't know it was a Japan-only item. -S

The Saturn is the only Sega system I don't own, as a matter of fact I've never even played one. Does it have enough exclusives to make it worth picking one up? -S

Metal Slug games just don't seem the same if you aren't standing in front of a big red arcade machine. -S

Oh I thought it was a blast. Can't belive I've gone so long without playing a Zelda game. After I play all of them that I can on my GBA SP, I guess I'm going to have to break down and finally buy a Gamecube so I can play the newer ones. -S

Not mine (newspaper want ad worth a laugh)

Thanks for that. That's gotta be funniest thing I'm going to hear all week. -S -

When you're feeling really salty, you need to hack a driving controller to a real arcade steering wheel. -S

Every one else loves the psp why cant i?

Sure, I totally understood what you meant there. My only point is that when a new movie format becomes available there is a certain segment who will buy movies they already own in the new format. I'd like to claim to be above that kind of behavior, but my movie cabinet tells a different story. -S -
Sony ordered to pay 90.7 million dollars in damages.

It's not the actual controllers that are being disputed though, it's the vibration functionality. -S -
As a child of the '80s I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that the system is actually a "Gold Leopard King '98" -S

Well I certainly never intended to play them all straight through. I've finished Legend of Zelda (1st quest anyway) and have gone back to PS2 for a while before I pick up Link to the Past for GBA and play that one. -S

I started to wholeheartedly agree with you, but then my own movie collection came to mind. I certainly own many movies on both DVD and VHS. I can't see buying any on UMD though, but only because I can't see myself being in a postion where watching a movie on a handheld gaming system would be preferable to playing a game. When I play games I'm almost always at home, in which case I'll just watch a movie on the living room TV if I feel like watching a movie. The few times that I do play handheld games away from home I'm usually doing something like waiting in the car while my wife runs into the store or otherwise just killing a few minutes, in which case a game is a much better option than a movie. -S -
I'm not a sports fan at all. Maibock can tell you how much I like sports games. -S

I'm certain that when I do get one (won't be until they are significantly less expensive) that I will rarely if ever use it for anything other than playing games. I watch movies on the TV, I already have an MP3 player. Adding all the bells and whistles and trying to make it more than "just a game system" only inflates the price, which is pretty irritating for those of us who don't want all that extra stuff. -S

Why are YOU waiting to get your PSP?
Stingray replied to onkyo_emu's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I just can't see spending that kind of money for a handheld. If they were $150 for just the system I would have already bought one despite the fact that the games are overpriced too. I feel the same about the DS. If they were $100 for just the system I'd have one in my pocket right now. Handheld systems are just getting too expensive. -S -
Sorry, I've been on vacation and away from the computer for about a week. I thought the coin operating the reset switch was a good idea. the coin function just has to be there, and the reset switch seems like a good function to assign to it. Where is the cart slot going to go? -S
