1. Wow, I've been so busy lately that this kind of crept up on me. I was planning on going fishing because I'd totally forgotten about this show. Forget fishing, I'll be headed to OVGE! Hope to see some of you guys there. It also worth mentioning that if you're coming into Tulsa on I-44, you can take the Riverside exit. Take Riverside Drive south two mile to 71st, take a left and you're there. Oh and highway 75 is a state highway, not an interstate, just to avoid any confusion. -S
2. I've seen those too. I presume they're meant for home use, but who wouldn't want a real coin door? It's not like it adds that much to the overall cost. IMO, you aren't playing arcade video games unless you have to pump in quarters or tokens. -S
3. If I ever manage to get a Pac machine I'll definitely buy this kit. At $145 it seems like a bargain. -S
4. You could always take the board out of an old Coleco Telstar or some other low-end stand alone home pong console to use in a bartop. There are still lots of those around in the sub $10 range. -S
5. Atari Retro for N-Gage is a very good translation IMO. The only thing wrong is that the colors are a little too dark. I'll probably grab this new compilation as well. -S
6. Stingray

cd-rom drive?

I'm sure that would work fine. -S
7. Agreed. As much as I'd like to prove it really happened, there's no way I'm digging in a dump. That sounds too much like physical labor, which I'm deathly allergic to. What can I do that doesn't require me to get up off my a$$? -S
8. Maybe I'm the only one, but I think that would actually be very cool. -S
9. Sweet mother of pearl that's cool! -S
10. Ray Liotta in Vice City was outstanding IMO. Just about every other game I can think of has terrible voice acting and I wouldn't have a problem with it being left out. The story line in most modern games is bloated and boring anyway. -S
11. FYI, if you don't already have it, get it. It's hands down my favorite N-Gage title. -S
12. Arkanoid is fun if you have the paddle controllers. There's also a Metroid type game that's a lot of fun, but the name of it is escaping me right at the moment. -S
13. Yes, but just because it's silly & pointless doesn't mean it isn't cool. -S
14. Is it just slow or cruddy in general? Can you run older games like Pac-man, Donkey Kong at a decent speed? 861716 Slow, even with the classics. I tried Dig Dug, Galaga, & Mr. Do. All were very choppy. I didn't bother loading any more roms. -S
15. If at any point during this repair you happen to learn which sound chip does what I'd greatly appreciate the info. It's out there for the Taito board, but I can't find it for the Midway board. I need to know which one controls the "Mystery UFO" sound. Mine works right sometimes, others it just produces a high pitched whine. Every time I bring this problem up on a forum someone inevitably wants to link me to the Taito manual, so I'll say once more this is a Midway machine. -S
16. Baby Pac-Man. Sadly I haven't had the opportunity to play one in years. First time I saw one I thought that combining Pac-Man with pinball was just the coolest thing I'd ever seen. I'd love to add one to my collection, but it seems like the odds against me actually finding one for sale at a time when I actually have that kind of money to spend are pretty long. -S
17. Oh sure, we all start out just wanting one. -S
18. Should have known that Cassidy already knows about this guy. -S
19. I know you have a Neo Geo cab and a SI cocktail and of course your MAME cab - you have a Jamma cab too? How do you get any housework done? 860415 In fact I do not currently have a JAMMA cab (unless you count the NEO-GEO), but I have a spot reserved for one. -S
20. Oh, yikes! That's quite a lot more than I had in mind. I just wanted it for the novelty factor. Send you a PM anyway. -S
21. I don't have a box. When I buy games I always shelve them with the other games that I have for that system. There are always plenty of games at any given time up on the shelves that I haven't gotten around to playing yet though. -S
22. If you decide you want to sell it, PM me with how much you're looking to get for it. No kids out at the Stingray ranch. -S
