I haven't really dived into that yet, but I think there are some here:Oh, quite a lof of emulators, more than I thought. There's even MAME and SNES, wonder if they run at a decent speed...
Sadly, the MAME port is pretty cruddy, at least on the few games that I tried on it.

I know, it just makes me sick seeing all those great games covered in dust, when there are so many that I'd love to add to my collection, multiples of many of them.

Be sure to bring a truck!

Someone posted this at one of the other forums I visit. I just had to share:

It's sad seeing all those beautiful machines just sitting there gathering dust. I'd love to own Omega Race and there are three of four just wasting away in there.

If anyone here is near Hagerstown, MD you really should go check it out. I sure wish I was near there.

I don't remember seeing any that were 50 cents before Dragons Lair. I also don't ever remember seeing any that were less than a quarter ever, including the early black & white stuff.

Out me on the interested list.
I also feel like a custom case is an extra that I could live without if it keeps the price down.
My only concern is about the expansion port. I know the EP on my CV is pretty flaky, and I understand that this is a somewhat common problem.

Thanks Cassidy. I've actually replaced the artwork and the t-molding on both control panels, but for the most part this machine really is a very nice survivor. Amazing that it has stayed in the condition that it's in for so long. It even still has the serial number tag & dip switch settings stapled on the inside.

Now THAT is good design. They're really taking advantage of that fact that you no longer need a large front end to accomodate controller ports. As for the 'charm', yeah, that one they're showing is a bit hard edged, but when you buy it in purple or NES style or whatever they'll surely release, it'll look 'Nintendo'-enough. Full marks to the big N, and they're the only one who'll have the games to really back this up.Oh man if they do a grey NES style, I'll have to buy it. It's pitiful that would make me, but it would.
I guess I'm pitiful as well. An NES style Revolution would have me knocking the doors down at Best Buy to get ahold of one.

I like the SP better, personally.

The most overrated series in the history of video games. I might play it if I find a copy laying in a ditch, and I happen to be very bored and very drunk at the time.

Way too far away from me, but somebody really needs to go rescue this one.

I've never seen a GP32 other than in pictures, but I love my N-Gage.

LOL, Cassidy, you're the only guy here who would have thought of that! I hope you're right about the monitor upgrades.

Plenty of folks mount PC monitors in that way for MAME projects. No problem at all. Worst case, you'll have to degausse it before you use it the first time.

Sort of a little two way lever. It does look funny and it plays funny as well. It took me quite a while to get used to playing SI with this control after years of playing it in MAME with a joystick.

When I first got this cocktail I was concerned that I'd be in big trouble if that oddball little control ever broke, but after taking it apart I found that I was worried about nothing. It's built like a tank under the panel.

I don't think the Midway type of cocktail is very common at all in Australia. This is the kind that seems to be most prevalent over there:

Just one of many fun facts to be found on my website.

Still standing around with a dumb look on my face waiting to hear back from Marian "Mysterygirl" McQuiddy.

Good to know we have an XY expert in the house. I'm desparately in search of a Tempest to add to my collection.

Sweeeeet! I'm off to load that up on my N-Gage.

I agree, they are great fun, that's why I have one in my game room.

Midway cocktails were everywhere around here from about the mid 80's to early 90s. You couldn't walk into a pizza place without seeing a couple of them. Wonder where they all went?

You play on the 'fast' asteroids and turn on the UFO's right? Just checking
Otherwise if you do and it's still easy... try Thomas' hack! It ups the Asteroids action to a new level on the VCS.Yep, I always play it with fast rocks & UFOs. Asteroids was one of my favorites as a kid. I've probably put hundreds of hours in on it.
One of these days I'll try Thomas's hack.-S

Since this thread's supposed to be about suggestions.......Once I get my N-Gage back from my brother, I'm going to try out some of these Symbian games.
http://forums.arena.n-gage.com/nokia/board...essage.id=14861
I'm thinking about getting Darxide EMP, Xyanide, Stuntcar Extreme, and GeoPod.
As for upcoming N-Gage games, I'm looking forward to System Rush. I was looking at some video footage, and it's really looking sweet. It looks like a powered up version of S.T.U.N. Runner.
Metal Bluster looks pretty good. Has anyone tried it?

I may be alone in this, but I think the QD is just about the right size. Yes the screen is a little small, but it fits perfectly with the overall size of the system, which is just tiny. Personally I wouldn't want it to be any bigger, it fits very nicely in my pocket as it is, but it's about as big as I can be and still be unobtrusive.
