Did HhWolfman ever get his package? Wasn't he supposed to get something too? And all of you guys asking for evidence (screen shots/ label pics/ etc) wouldn't it make more since to ask him for maybe a picture of the box it came in with a recently dated postmark? I mean obviously he has the game. But some kind of proof whee it came from would seem to be the question. Personally I don't know what to think this is all just too wild!

Yes, yes. This is quite the joke with my friend and I. We are both of the same profession and graduated from college the same time. When I would see him at job fairs I would remind him NOT to mention anything about Atari gods at his interview. Interviewer: So tell me about your other interests My friend: Well I like to collect old games and make sacrifices to the Atari gods. Interviewer: The what? My Friend: The Atrai gods, They demand immoral sacrifice. Interviewer: Well I see we are out of time, don't call us, we'll call you.

Actually I have a pretty interesting point about the sacrifices 'atari gods' demand and I could write alot more because I have probably put wayyy too much thought into this. And no I don't really believe this but you got to admit it is kind of strange... It all started the night before a big flea market. My friend and I were on the internet and ended up at let's just say some 'low brow' sites. Nothing illeagle and not even all 'adult' sites just some pretty sick jokes and some pictures Well anyway the next day at the flea market we were sure we would be cursed and find nothing due to our transgresions. However we found tons! Star Wars and Super Man were both games we were looking for at the time and we found those. Found many more games plus Crazy Climber all for $1 each. Thus the legend began that the Atari gods demanded 'immoral' sacrifice. This wouldn't be so strange if it hadn't happened again and again. In fact one time we were at the flea market. Last booth and we had seen nothing. My friend did find at the last booth however a box full of dirty magazines and looked at one of them. No sooner than we turned around but there was a huge box of Atari 5200 games. It's just too weird!

I have dreams about discovering rooms at thrift stores that wern't there before and about finding game in strange places like at J.C. Penny!

actually this is a long running joke with a friend of mine. I hadn't mentioned it before b/c I thought it was strange. I still think it is strange, we're just not the only ones.

What is the most valuable (worth the most) classic system? Today I got in a discusion with a couple of friends about the promotional Dew X-Box. I said that it may be worth a lot of money one day. My resoning- 550 points is alot of soda- and not that many people are going to get one. Therefore one day (20 years from now) it will be rare and valuable. I compared this to Chase the Chuckwagon or Tooth Protectors. One of my friends said that only games would be worth alot and that systems never would be. So my question is, what is the most a system is worth. I know I sold an Arcadia 2001 in box a few years ago for about $140 and I know Odyssey and Vectrex are both around the $100 to $200 range depending on whats included. Are there any others? Also, what do you think about the dew x-box, wil it be a valuable item one day? This also leads me to another question. Has anyone ever done a promotional sytem before? One that is related to a non-video game product?

Even at the final bid of $3,850, I hope he gets paid. If you look at the 'ME' profile for the winning bidder he says that his roommate just did it to get his name on the national news.

A few thoughts that you might want to check into before your next auction- 1) As it has been said before confirmed and verified are two different things. 2) It could have been a bug in the system. My address once showed up as unconfirmed to ME, in a copy of an e-mail I sent to someine else. But when I e-mailed them they said it appeared as confirmed on their end. 3) Very Important- I don't think anyone else has mentioned that a confirmed address can become unconfirmed. This happens if the Credit Card you used to confirm your address expires. Check your records. I agree tghis guy was being a jerk, but some sellers won't ship to uncofirmed addresses. I do but I know I always have a 'what if' in the back of my mind. You might want to check your status before you run into more trouble.

The funniest thing to do with babelfish is type in a long story, in english, using alot of 'slang'. Translate it to german or some other language. Highlight cut and paste the translation and then translate it back to english. It's too funny!

I get so many of the stupid e-bay ones I am thinking of getting rid of my e-mail adress and getting a new one. Speaking of misspellings I also have gotten ones from citicard and words in the subject line were misspelled like 'veerification' I don't know if this is just shear stupidity or someone trying to get around filters.

I got one for a friend of mine for Christmas a couple of years ago. Can't remember where I got it, but I know I ordered it and I must have paid less than $10 for it b/c I owuldn't have spent anymore than that on him!

Im always tempted to buy those 'mystery' labeless games at the thrift stores and flea markets. This is where a handheld VCS would be nice. I could try them out where they are.

Well, okay, I can't believe that I can remember anything about a show that was what 10-15 years ago? I also remember loving the orginal show and thinking that the other one sucked!

Well probably not. If you do a bidder search you can find everything he has bid on won/ not won. He has a serious thing for Nintendo, but they are all different sellers.

It's not quite a program but I have a complete list of every atari cart listed on AA's rarity guide (US only) typed into my palm pilot. It was all part of my effort to one up my friiend before philly classic. He made a list in a note book of every game he had. So what did I do? I spent every night for a week typing game by game the name, company, label variations and rarity for each game listed. I can e-mail you the file then what you do is highlight the games you have and move them to a seperate list. I found this very handy at PC and now the show is over I don't care who has it. PM me if you want it (of course all this depends on if you have a Palm Pilot) Mine is old and only runs on platfor 3.5 so most anyone should be able to use it. (It's not perfect though, there are mistakes/ missing games)

Actually if you still find the item number, which can be found in any e-mail about the transaction, on pay pal, in your feedback, and on your ebay invoice (I think), you can still find the auction. Auctions are stored in the system for 90 days and sometimes it seems to be more. If you find the item number cut and paste it into eBay's search field and click searc. It should take you straight to the auction
