  1. Yay!  I figured it out.  Now lets see if I can type this before jetset does!     If as the seller you click on 'ask the seller a question' you see the question that was asked of you.  There is a field to answer it.  That is where you can answer the question and that is where you can choose to include it I suppose.

Aaah, I see, so it's at the seller's discression to add the question to the listing. It seems like this is a way to avoid answering the same question 100 times about an auction listing. Sounds like a very good feature.

As soon as they make it work right!!

They are also adding a new feature that will search for items near me by miles form your zip code instead of regions. About time! I was tired of looking for arcade machines by back clicking 6 or 7 times to different cities near me.

  2. Jetset, do you see anything under 'numbver of questions' on 'my ebay'?

    It still shows zero... :?

Lemme check andale and see if it shows anything...

Go to your auction for your Star Wars book and click on ask the seller a question. The question should bet there. Wierd!

  4. I do!  Knock yourself out!  And buy it to if you like?

I just asked a test question (from jjpm74). Drop a basic response and we'll see what happens.

Hmm, well I got your question. But I don't see anyway to 'add it to my description'. It just came over my email like normal. Come to think of it I don't see how ebay could add questions and responses from an outside email address. I know the question came form ebay but the response was from my yahoo mail account. Is there some way to read/answer a question on ebay? I did notice they recently added a 'number of questions' column to the selling part of the 'My Ebay' page. But that still shows up as zero questions on the ipaq. Even though I have got and sent back your reply. :?

  5. It's very posible that Atari did dump those carts, my dad used to work for the Limited. When they had extra that they couldn't sell, they would dig a hole, throw all the unsold clothes in, and set them on fire.....

Now IMO thats just a waste. Clothes could be used by somebody, homless shelter, churches, salvation army etc. Granted not many homless people would have had much use for an old ET cart but clothes... It is a free country though and they are fully entitled to burn the, eat them, or dress farm animals in them. It just seems like a waste.

  6.    The New York Times.   "Atari Parts Are Dumped."

       28 September 1983   (p. D4).

Last I knew, the New York Times was a rather reputable news paper.

Considering the exact day, title of the story and page it's on are cited, this would be tough to argue, no?

I don;t know. Jason Blair wasn't working for the paper back then was he? ;)

  7.

    550 points on account-- check!

Permenant incontinence problem- check! Just kidding but serioesly did you drink all that? Or did you buy the caps on ebay? Or did you have some other scheme? I too wanted the xbox and had all sorts of ideas such as driving to the local recycling center and jumping into the recycled plastic bottle bin. But I gave up a long time ago wit only 100 points I doubt I'll even get the mini-fridge :( . Good luck!

  8. Has anyone else seen this? It appears that the PSP is going to have a battery that has to be worn on your wrist! All I can say is , why? Isn't this moving backwards in the portable gaming world? I know it is supposed to have graphics etc. that need enormous power but is anyone realy going to go for this? I always questioned the PSP's success but now I definately think it is safe to predict a flop. For those of you who don't want to read the article it also says that PSP will not support MP3's.

  9. Do what I did, buy the PS2 version.  It's much more natural, and when I'm done unlocking things on it, I'll go back to the Cube one I pe-ordered for a challenge.  At least I got a sweet free Capcom shirt for my trouble. :D

Wll that would only work if you know how to mod a cube into a ps2, which would be very cool if you did! :P Sorry I don't have a PS2.

  10. Okay, so I bought Mega Man Anniversary Collection and as I pointed out in a previous thread the stupid buttons are reversed! The a button fires and the b button jumps. There is no way in the game to change the set up. I guess I could get used to it but I'm already tired of mega man falling down the pit when I hit the wrong button for a quick jump. So how hard would it be to reverse the buttons on a controler? Is there a way to make the a button the b button and visa versa? Thanks!

  11. I have a Vectrex multicart (see picture) It says version 1.1 and the year 1994. I had never really played this for more than a few times. I now have it up for auction. Anyway, I plugged up the game today b/c someone asked what games were on the multicart and I noticed something. First the menu on the multicart is very jittery and also after about 20 seconds it just starts to fade away. But this is only the menu. The games work fine and stay on nice and bright and so does the built in game. After it fades out if you hit the button to start a game it loads the game and comes back on. Is this normal for this cart? Also it appears that some of the game titles when they load are different games than whats on the menu but then I just may be doing something wrong. I would like to know b/c this auction ends soon and I don't want to rip anyone off. Thanks!

  12. I try to list around 10 PM EST b/c I figure most 'recreational' browsing occurs between 7 and 10 PM so that covers all the time zones in the US. Don't know if it matters though. However I am still convinced that I made a sweet deal on an ALIEN arcade game once because it ended at 9:30 in the morning.

  13. I've been to Dollywood before several times and it's pretty cool. Not the huge crowds of Kings Dominion or some other major park. As for biddong up the price of the tickets on ebay, I know what you mean. Of ocurse all of us sellers rely on that obsession to drive up the prices.
