  3. It almost looked like a converted shooting game. The screen like I said was very large, and the podium that held the controller and buttons was out in front of the screen cabinet about 3 feet. Each game was only 25 cents, but you had to put in 50 cents to play. So you had to buy two games every time you wanted to play.
  4. It was the first game I got when I got my Turbo Duo 3 years ago. I have been playing Galaga for 15 years and I love every version.
  5. If you're gonna get Bonk's Adventure, and Bonk's Revenge, you might as well blow between 75-150 bucks for Bonk 3. Galaga 90 is a great updated version of the arcade classic Galaga.
  6. I have a modded ColecoVision up for auction. Modifications include gold-plated A/V outputs and an "Intro Skip" BIOS that allows you to skip the title screen on Coleco published games. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8126572641
  7. I was at a local bar/arcade/pool hall last night with some friends. I hadn't been there in a while, but their usual stock of arcade coin-ops is newer, larger, and $1.00 per play type games. When low and behold I saw a large cabinet with the marquee title "Classic Games." The cabinet housed three all time classics, Galaga, Dig Dug, and Donkey Kong. Three of my personal favorites. I'll admit I have more Donkey Kong experience on consoles and through emulation, but I conisder myself pretty good at it, so I thought I'd start with that game. The first problem I noticed was that the joystick used must be an 8-way style making it difficult to climb a ladder without passing it first. Secondly the game must have been set on the highest difficulty level, because within seconds of starting the opening Girder Level there must have been 12-15 barrels rolling towards me with no slowing down or end in sight. After a couple of tries I made it past the first board and did fairly well setting the high score with a little over 60,000. Secondly I tried Dig Dug. Again the 8-way joystick makes it difficult to turn when you want to. I got the high score with a little over 49,000 and moved on to my all time favorite arcade game, Galaga. Now in this case the 8-way joystick doesn't affect my gameplay, but the incredibly large 30+" monitor makes it very hard to watch the aliens at the top of the screen and move my ship away from the deadly alien fire without actually moving my head up and down. I did ok. I got 59,590, a mere 410 lower than the factory set high score of 60,000. While it was nice to play some old school classics within the ambience of an arcade, it's not qute the experience I remember.
  8. I searched for one for a while, but all I could come up with was some guy on Ebay selling an advertisement for it. He either never sold one or he had a crap load of them because I remember seeing them on Ebay for a while.
  9. The winner of that auction Psycho Stormtrooper, is big in the Intellivision community. I can't believe he didn't have one already. I got my Intellivision II and game collection from him a couple of years ago. He made a very nice set of overlays for Intellivision games that didn't come with them. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8123643143&rd=1
  10. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8124664834 ColecoVision Up for auction is Super Donkey Kong Junior for the Coleco Colecovision video game console. Super Donkey Kong Junior was an unreleased prototype developed by Coleco back in the early 80’s. While Donkey Kong Junior had been released, Super Donkey Kong Junior was being developed to be a more accurate port of the arcade version. Since this game was never released this is a non-production, custom made cartridge with a custom made label. There is only one difference between this version and the standard version of Donkey Kong Junior. It is as follows: 1: Sparks Level - This level, not included in the standard Donkey Kong Junior version, is included. Unlike the Factory Level in Super Donkey Kong which was never completed, this added level in Super Donkey Kong Junior is complete, and makes this version much closer to it’s arcade counter-part. This cartridge is mint and is in 100% working condition. The cartridge will be double-bagged, wrapped in bubble-wrap, and shipped in a padded envelope, unless buyer prefers different packaging. Shipping will be $4.00 with tracking services to anywhere in the continental US via USPS. Insurance is not required, but is offered at $1.50. I do prefer payment via PayPal, but I also accept money orders, cashiers checks, and personal checks. I will ship the auction items out either the same or next business day after confirmed payment is received. International bidders are welcome, and shipping will be determined after the end of the auction. Thank you for looking at my auction, please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns you may have. Good Luck bidding!
  11. It was only $70.00 for me. I could bid on it for you and ship it to you for probably cheaper than $122.00
  12. The main reason I used "Prototype" in the auction is that fact that this is a copy of the prototype game that was being developed, not a released game. Like I list in the auction, it is a custom made cartridge, not anything such as a lab-loander, which whouldn't have a production-like label, or possibly even a cartridge housing.
  13. Technically it's not a reproduction because the game was never released. It is a custom cartridge with the game programmed on it.
  14. Some one else had mentioned that, but I read completely through Ebay's "Seller Guidnlines" and I don't see anything about it. I also check ebay right now and there are more than a half dozen other prototypes up for auction. So I don't know. We'll find out.

Since this game was never released this is a non-production, custom made cartridge with a custom made label. There are several differences between this version and the standard version of Donkey Kong. They are as follows: 1: The opening scene animation of Donkey Kong grabbing Pauline and climbing the girders, then jumping to the side to distress and bend the girders is included. 2: “Get Ready Player (1 or 2)” between each level change and player change is included. 3: “Game Over” is displayed after all of Mario’s lives are gone. 4: Girder Level – The ending level animation of Donkey Kong grabbing Pauline and climbing to the top of the screen is included. 5: Rivet Level – The ending level animation of Donkey Kong beating his chest and then falling upside down, hitting his head, and then Mario and Pauline meeting with a heart above them is included. 6: Elevator Level – This level is unchanged from the standard Donkey Kong version. 7: Factory Level – This level, not included in the standard Donkey Kong version is included. This level, while playable, was never finished. Collision detection was never programmed. Meaning, that the fireballs cannot hurt Mario, and the bonus items are not able to be picked up. All Mario needs to do, is climb to the top of the level without falling off an edge or into the oil drum, and the level is cleared. This cartridge is mint and is in 100% working condition. 16. As fas as the flat fee goes, I'll usually calculate shipping to somewhere out in California, the fartherst point from where I live. It's obiviously cheaper if someone who buys lives close to me, and if it happens to be more than 2.00 cheaper I'll send them a refund. But it usually isn't that big of a difference. I always use delivery conformation. I describe it in my auction as tracking services. I don't tell people that it's an extra charge, I simply state that "Shipping will be $XX.XX to anywhere in the continental US via USPS with tracking services." Obiviously it get's a little different when you calculate shipping per customer, but if you state how you ship, i.e. priority with delivery conformation, and they can read that in the auction description, you are in the right. If they don't like that they don't have to bid.
  17. Did any of you guys see the History of Video Games show that was on Game Show Network a couple of months ago. It was hosted by Tony Hawk.
