Smash it with Mario's wooden hammer!

There's usually some guy on Ebay selling lots of 50 or 100 repair kits. You could try there. Or try Best Electronics.CA. They bought most of Atari's stock years back.

Like the delicious chocolate pudding ones that they don't make any more. Bastards.

I think that this whole, what do you call it, "television" thing is just another passing fad. I believe that it will go the way of the Dodo and this will be the last we hear of it untill our children tell us about what they learned some day in their history class. Just my opinion. What the hell do I know.

Me too. 869154 Blasphemy. The ColecoVision joystick isn't that bad. Besides there's quite a few 3rd party sticks w/number pads that can be had rather inexpensively compared to the Wico Joystick/Keypad combo for the 5200. Although since I rebuilt a 5200 joystick with the Gold Dot buttons and new Flex Circuit I do find it a bit better. The fire button rubber/vinyl are softer and press easier than the original. I still hate the non-centering joystick now and forever.

You could also use rechargable batteries, install a small power jack and recharge them inside the case. Although rechargable batteries are normally 1.2V vs. alkaline batteries being 1.5V. Not a bad little project though. Maybe I'll see what I can come up with.

Just a quick end of the weekend bump. Less than 3 days left. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 -
ColecoVision also has voice with no expansion module needed - Squish 'Em: Featuring Sam.
-
Thanks for the info on the choppiness. And by the way, the ColecoVision rulez all!!!
-
No pun or sexual induendo implied. I recently modded an ATARI 5200, 4-Port (up on Ebay right now, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...MESE%3AIT&rd=1) so I've been "testing", not playing, it quite a bit recently. Pac-Man plays smoothly and very nice, but Ms. Pac-Man is choppy and she just doesn't navigate the maze with the poise that she normally does. Anybody have any idea why?

PREMIS not PENIS, although the Coleco's Penis is rather mighty.

Thank you. It really came out better than I thought it would, and the graphics look incredible. -
Was it actually a bright yellow, or was it a computer beige that had turned yellowish over time.

I love this picture atari_games.bmp

The hard part was finding a power supply that supports all of the necessary output voltages, but still fits inside the console. -

I should have my new switches by Tuesday and after some testing everything should be finalized in 2-3 weeks. so the controller wells are now covered up since they hold the power supply? 867378 No. The controller wells are still intact as usual. The power supply is mounted in front of them, where in the past I have installed my nine LED light bar. Which will not be possible with the Power Supply mod. That's why I've gone with lighted switches. -
Who the hell's got a problem with Marky Mark.

I will have my new Super ColecoVision there on display for all of those who dare behold all of its mighty premis! I'll also have a couple of A/V and S-Video modded ColecoVisions there for sale as well, along with about 100 ColecoVision games and accessories.

I just tried it out and it's definately pretty sweet. I liked DX-Ball a lot too. This game is completely different with all of the different style of targets.

It's safe to keep an original CV plugged in, it's just that the Power Supply remains on. While technically the PCB won't draw any power through it, it is still on. My new style switches the internal power supply on and off, so when not in use, there will be no wear on the power supply. -

It has the "Intro Skip" BIOS upgrade. I just didn't list it because all of the other ones I've done have it, and I just consider it a given. I can't hack out the Controller Wells, there wouldn't be enough room for the internal power supply without it. I hate wireless controllers. And emulators are no way to truly enjoy a gaming expeerience. Thanks. -
Accessory Test Console - How rare? - How much?

Last time I checked Best had them still in stock, but had raised their price from $49.99 to $99.99. -

Actually the 8-bit Atari computers had the chroma/luma outputs long before Commodore did. 866542 Nice mod, after having finished my A/V modification on my Coleovision today, it felt kind of cheap compared to the one you did. But I do enjoy being able to use a commodore 1702 with my Colecovision. The vidoe quality is perfect for me, I don't need any better than AUDIO and VIDEO. My modded Colecovision can be seen here: Colecovision Revival! One thing I wanted to do, and probably will do it tomorrow, is add an LED to indicate whether or not the Colecovision is ON or OFF. Maybe that's something you can add to your CV to truly make it the best and meanest CV on the block. How about a set of leds in the back that connected to the address line of the Z80 that will give you a random (well, sort of random) light show? Anyways... Enough ramblings. 866986 I've got an LED light bar mod that I have done on the ColecoVision, but it won't fit in because of the new internal power supply. The new switches that I just ordered last night are lighted though.
