  1. I was real surprised that I won it for less than $8000.00. Oh wait, I didn't bid on that, what the hell am I talking about, who am I, what the hell am I doing here, do you know my address, have you seen my pills, well now I'm just rambling on. I'm sorry.
  2. I of course happen to be a little bit biased towards the ColecoVision. The Atari 5200 and 7800 libraries are fairly small in comparison if I'm not mistaken. Not counting recent homebrews and what not the ColecoVision had around 150 games officially released, and don't fly off the handle if this number is slightly off, but somwhere in the neighborhood of 43 arcade ports. Everybody bitches about the 5200, 7800, and ColecoVision controllers. The Coleco's is in my opinion the best of the three at least if you're talking about any extended playing time. Not to mention that there were a bunch of 3rd party controllers made for the ColecoVision even some that had a built in number pad. And if you decide that you want to get a ColecoVison that is guaranteed to work every time you turn it on with controllers that will move your on screen object in the direction that you move them check out my website for the ultimate in modded and refurbished ColecoVision game consoles. (cheap plug) Viking Video Games
  3. In case anyone else is looking to get one, I've got more than 20 consoles sitting in my workshop ready to be modded upon request. And don't forget, new mods always coming. I've got 2-3 that I'm working on right now. No Sneak Previews though, you'll just have to wait.
  4. If you've ever played Marble Madness, or you've ever had a hamster, in which case you obiviously had a ball for said hamster, this game is great. I'm a huge fan. I've got it on my laptop and whenever I'm out of town for work I always remember I have it, and play for at least an hour. It's awesome.
  5. ***SOLD*** Thanks to everyone who was watching and bidding.
  6. I sell complete and bare modded systems, as well as just the services for someone who sends me their console through my website: Viking Video Games Check it out. It has everything there except for the S-Video, and the Atari 7800 mods that I've done. I haven't had a chance to work up individual prices on those yet.
  7. Well I've refurbished and modded another ColecoVision, but this one is a little special. Besides the standard A/V outputs, and the "Intro Skip" BIOS, this one also features an S-Video output as well. All of the necessary hardware is included in the auction, the modded console, 2 standard controllers, 5 games, and a 6'gold-plated S-Video & Audio cable. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8187389000
  8. I'm not sure how many he needs, but he bought a modded ColecoVision from me. As well as a Champ Keypad Adapter, and the Modded Atari 7800 that I had listed recently.
  9. Did you completely disassemble the switch or just spray it from the outside. If you just sprayed it, I don't think that that would have done you much good. Those switches were originally assembled with a di-electric grease to help connectivity. The only problem with that is that they are also a magnet for dust and dirt. When I refurbish a console, I disassemble the switch, burnish and de-oxidize and condition all the contacts. And do not re-pack with grease. If you use a contact conditioner you don't need to. Plus you will have less future problems with the switch.
  10. I personally am a huge fan of the movie, so I got the game a couple years ago at a Gamestop for like 3-4 dollars. The game itself is horrible. Imagine flying a submarine through space and you'll get a pretty good idea of how the game plays. Definately a crap game. I'd say leave it sealed and try to sell it to a movie fan or keep it for it's shelf value.
  11. He's right I am a bad-ass. If you're using a TV/Game switch, lose it and try a direct connect phono-to-Coax adapter. If it's still problematic, it probaly needs a good cleaning. The power switch and cartridge slot, I'm sure, are very dirty.
  12. I'd recommend the Twin Sticks for Virtual-On: Cyber Troopers, and if you're gonna get a Virtua Stick, make sure it's the Hori-made version (white base with pink and green buttons). The US released Virtua Stick sucks. I'd also recommend the Mission Stick for flying games like Black Fire. There were also a coulple of good hand-held racing wheels, Ran Con: Analog Controller (like a remote controlled car hand-held wheel), and the SS Joypad AI had a mini wheel around the D-Pad with some great programming functions as well. And while you're at it get yourself 2 Stunner Arcade Guns with the "Screen Mount-Sights", (they actually mount on the gun not the screen) and Virtua Cop 1 & 2. There was also a Sega "Astro City 2000" (or something like that) dual arcade stick that looked like 2 of the Hori Virtua Sticks together, that I've seen once and would love to get my hands on.
  13. Last bump, less than 10 hours left. Thanks for looking. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
  14. Virtua Fighter Kids Little kids beating the crap out of each other is hilarious.

    ColecoVision Games

    Cartridge Scans
  17. I've noticed a ton of ColecoVisions recently that all say "complete" in the title, but no box, and usually no instructions. Apparently they mean complete enough to play without needing any more hardware.
  18. You're right, but the stock cables suck. They have too much resistance, and cause major signal loss. And what the hell the gold jacks, the S-Video jack, and the purple look sweet, I think.
  19. I don't have any idea what this lot might sell for so I just put a reasonable reserve on it. I was surprised when the first bid took it to the reserve in just over a half hour.
  20. Well that is a possibility. I remember when the Saturn was about to be released I saw the cartridge slot and assumed that it was going to be backwards compatible. But even more confusing is that this was an auction for a Dreamcast, not a saturn.
  21. Well here's something new that I thought I'd try. A Super Nintendo modded with gold-plated, color-coded A/V jacks, an S-Video jack, and a purple LED. Comes with all the necessary hardware, power supply, two original controllers, 6 ft. gold-plated S-Video & Audio cable, and 3 complete games. I think it looks pretty snazzy, let me know what you think. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8185546763
  22. I couldn't possibly pay more than 119.00 - 122.00!
