  1. I've got a six-switch VCS... more of a Tele-Games... my first Atari, picked up in 2003 for free.
  2. Does anyone know some examples of places I could get Atari 2600 games? I don't feel like using eBay if there's other choices, eBay just takes too long for me, and is overpriced sometimes.
  3. A 720K disk will work in my 1.44MB ST drive?

    Is It Rare?

I have 2 joysticks, 2 paddles, and the original power transformer. All are in very good condition. The joysticks have the orange paint scraped off, but work fine. The 2600 needs cleaning, but all the switches work and it plays fine. Both joystick/paddle ports work fine. EDIT: Oh yeah, it came like that. I haven't gotten around to wiping it down or anything. I haven't bought anything else other than the ~12 carts it came with.
  5. It's a serial port. They used them for mice and stuff like that when PS/2 ports didn't work. They were also for connecting computers to each other with a null modem cable.

    Is It Rare?

...Is that a lot in Atari terms? I mean I know 2600s are a dime a dozen now...

    Is It Rare?

But how much would I have paid for a 6-switch Telegames, I think the heavy kind?
  8. Great. A #retrogamer followed me here too. Gonna kickban me from here?

    Is It Rare?

I'm just wondering if a 6-switch Tele-Games is rare or not. I picked it up for free along with a bunch of various cartridges. Was it a good deal?
  10. Okay, so I guess if I plug an Atari joystick into my PC's serial port it won't work?
  11. When you die, Joust takes pity on you and gives you 500 points for dying.
  12. Is it possible to use a 2600 controller on a PC? I have a DB-9 socket on the back of my computer, the same kind as on the back of my 2600. Is the pinout the same, and would I be able to use it with a 2600 emulator such as Stella? I've used Sega controllers on my Atari before, so I'm guessing it won't blow up or anything... Would I need a wire converter or something?
  13. Just when I thought I had something rare, I don't. Oh well.
  14. I have a ST disk drive that can read 1.44MB disks. I also have no software for my poor 520ST. Is there any way I can use my PC to write the disk images to the disk so the Atari can read them?
  15. I have a Coleco Donkey Kong cartridge here. The label is slightly different from the one shown in the AtariAge rarity guide. On the end label, there is a TM next to Donkey Kong. On the main label, the yellow text doesn't align right with the picture on AtariAge. Also, the ®, ©, and TM symbols are larger on my cover's text in the middle and the bottom. Also it says "Printed in USA" on the bottom instead of "Printed in Hong Kong". Do I have a variant?
