  1. Maybe you could use your own SIO driver and calls. One example would be the used on "Joyride" demo from HARD.
  2. Thanks! I bought the parts locally on electronic shops, whose products are mostly from China. Then I adapt the parts and assemble them into the plastic box. Finally, I print a label using adhesive paper with a protection film over it. That brings a glossy finish.
  3. I currently make 9V AC power supplies, using a linear 9vac 3A transformer, a 0.25A fuse (using 220V as input) and a Toshiba notebook plug cable. They fit very nicely on the 1050 and xf551. i strongly suggest to put a fuse on it, in order to prevent any damage on the drive.
  4. Hi, everyone! I'm the happy new owner of a 7800 and I'm looking for a Rikki&Vikki cartridge. I noticed that the original cartridges are run out now, so I was too late to get one. Is there anyone who is willing to sell one? Thank you!
  5. Is it possible to make a reproduction pcb of this computer? I think it would nice to do this!
  6. Is it a 512k XEGS cartridge then? Is it switchable?
  7. Hi! I love how it’s looking the game now. @rensoup, is there anything you need I can help you with?
  8. In my case, I make them work, using the Ultimate.rom firmware and Ultimate Cartridge. On u1mbs3, I couldn’t. I don’t have a side3 device.
  9. Hi! I've just upgraded to Firmware version 4.05, but for some reason the XEGS OS doesn't work. I tried with P3 shorted also. My config is a "downgraded" 130XE to stock 64K RAM (EMMU removed and shorted exactly as an 800XE) Any suggestions?
  10. My two cents: Me encantó este juego. Espero poder verlo funcionando en mi computador pronto. I love this game. I hope I can see it working on my computer anytime soon.

  12. That’s right. I forced to skip the memory cleaning routine. It’s too aggressive and it can hang the computer during a vbi. Because of that, I don’t think the UC xex loader need an adjustment. This case remind me an issue about Tapper, another Sega title. It hangs with some memory expansions schemes, because it makes non-standard portb writes. Perhaps the Sega published titles didn’t follow the standards. Besides that, i didn’t find any other issue.
  13. I looked into the XEX file of the Up'n Down game, and I can say that it has a problem from the game, not the XEX loader. In fact, if it loads on any system, is by pure chance. Here's the XEX @ascrnet mentioned, as well as a patched version that should work better. Upn-Down patched.xex Upn-Down.xex
  14. Thank you! Good to know it could be solved. Never noticed the DLI flicker before. I had to turn the underscan on my monitor to actually see it.

  16. Maybe these lines would require a patch: mva #3 BOOT ; patch reset - from mapping the atari (revised) appendix 11 mwa #reset_routine CASINI Change BOOT to 0 and CASINI to DOSVEC. Let's see what happens.
  17. Probably we are. These kind of things occurs when the XEX is not properly initialized and assummes OS address with default values. In this case, BOOT?
  18. Another idea: run the XEX loader with CASINI on the warmstart and then reinitialize BOOT?, DOSVEC, DOSINI and CASINI at the beginning of the XEX loader.
  19. Sure, here you are: Air Strike II CASINI patched.xex
  20. Allow me to disent. That routine is not what it runs at the first warmstart. The initialization routine is at $BB00-$BB54. If the Ultimate Cart sets BOOT? with 3, then it hangs because it tries to run CASINI vector, where this game is not set. I just patched the XEX from Air Strike to initialize the CASINI vector, and now it works with the Ultimate Cartridge. So I think the issue is related to the BOOT? address. I suggest to initialize the BOOT? address with 0 and DOSVEC as the run vector.
  21. By default, it supports up to 130 kbytes format (ED). But there are upgrades like Us-Doubler (USD 1050) that make it able to read double density.
  22. Maybe the address BOOT? ($09) I see that it's not initialized before the warmstart.
  23. I think that that version of Air strike II writes on the $D5xx area, making a mess on the cartridge banking scheme. The same happens with some versions of Gyruss. That forces to modify the XEX file in order to avoid the writing to that memory area.
