  1. I wonder what is worse the newbee wondering if he'll get scammed by the seller or the newbee seller wondering if he'll get scammed by the buyer. Classic!

  3. Thanks Dan, I'll let you know if I turn anything up. Best, Mark
  4. Hi Dan, Thanks for your response. I have a couple questions in regards to your answers: When you say create a circuit do you mean in addition to the existing cartridge circuit board, like a daughter board? Is it possible to wire directly to the board (I am no EE which I am sure will become very clear.) Yes, I was assuming a flip-flop would be the best way to go, that way I am not limited to just a LED, if I so choose I could use the binary switch to work as logic to turn on any other device (Every time a tank explodes, my toaster turns on). Would it be as simple as adding to the existing code so that in addition to storing the collision data to it's normal memory locations it also stores it to the address my device is to monitor? Thanks, Mark
  5. Hi, I am interested in modifying a combat cartridge so that little lights flash when a tank hits a barrier in the game field. Does anyone have any advice or resources they can point me towards to accomplish this? Thanks, Mark

  9. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 I have seen these go for at least 70.00 before, is there something different about the one I won that would make it less valuable? Thanks, Mark
  10. I got outbid with 2 seconds left to go again! What a sweet deal I missed out on: http:// http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEDW%3AIT&rd=1 Do you think I got e-snipped? Anyone know this buyer?
  11. Yeah I do want it bad. I sold my car on EBAY this week and the money is burning a hole in my pocket. My wife would kill me if I came home with this though... I'd be like I took the cow to market and came home with a handfull of beans.
  12. computer space I have always wanted one of these, a while back I almost bought a two player version (red). I have never seen a blue one much less in this condition. How rare do you think this is? Should I jump on it now (being low on cash) or should I wait.... Like the clash song "should I ebay or should I go now"
  13. oh you are right I appears I am the retard!
  14. why would someone bid 31.00 and not use buy it now for 32? Total dumbass or what?
  15. Hi, I am a visual artist and have been interested in early designs of video games for a long time. A while back I saw the concept industrial design drawings that were posted on safestuff. I contacted him about selling some of them to me but he was only interested in selling the entire collection not one or two pieces. If anyone here has something similar (and can verify their authenticity) please let me know, I'd be interested in buying them. Thanks, Mark
  16. yeah he did not specify one way or the other. He inluded the paypal link on the auction so I assumed it meant he took that as a payment. I guess I'll try to contact him again.
  17. I paypaled this guy money almost 5 days ago and he still has not claimed the money. This guy seems a bit out to lunch.
  18. Ok, he contacted me, he said he was in the hospital which sounds legit. However he says UPS shipping would be $12.36 to send it from PA to CA. Sounds high to me
  19. Hey Kirk and Chris, Chris, thanks for correcting me on the semantics now I'll sound smarter when I talk about ML. Also, thanks for the links I'll definitely read it over. Kirk, Paul rules no two ways around it. He has been a great help in answering some of my newbee questions that I am sure bore him to tears. He also passed me a basic kernel wonder if we have the same one Anyway, thanks again guys for your help. Mark
  20. So I won my auction for a good price, and mailed him right after to get the shipping... two days later no word so I mailed him again... two days later still nothing. What would you guys do, I think he is steamed that he set the BIN too low. Thanks!
  21. looking at my last post, it seems more like I was posting my resume sorry then answering your question . The people at work think I am crazy to want to learn to program assembly especially since I am the creative director As an artist the Atari just seems like such fertile ground it is too enticing to pass up, though i must admit I am really out of my comfort zone this deep in the machine language. Guess it just takes time!
  22. Hey Kirk, Yes here are my languages: Scripting Languages: HTML, JAVA Script, and Action Script Programming Languages: Lingo, C, JAVA, PHP Like I mentioned before I am self taught however, that said I have read extensively on OOP and Design Patterns (which ain't much help in Assembly) If you are interested I have some of my programming projects on my web site: http://www.markdaggett.com
