  1. I beleave they used that poster as a In-Joke movie cuase of E.T. in the main middle and we know that Henry Thomas plays both Elliott in ET and Davey in Cloak & Dagger Yet with all that relates to Atari in that kids career, what does he do? Stars in an Intellivision commercial...
  2. That looks awful. You can't see what's going on! That's why he's going to rework it... Neo Mr. Do is pretty good... On a TV as opposed to a cell phone I'm sure... It has large sprites and the gameplay remains in tact...
  3. Have you played Neo Mr. Do for the Neo Geo? That may give you some ideas... Like various levels of power for Mr. Do's energy ball, boss levels, etc.... http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=8847
  4. From what I understand, Amiga never wanted to do business with Atari. EVER. So when Commodore offered, they turned around and worked with them. Same thing applied to the Lynx. They didn't exactly want to sell to Atari but had to in the end to get it made.
  5. Yeah, it was a couple years ago... That must have been the one I played...
  6. I tried what was supposedly the fixed version and it still didn't work. There might be another one I haven't tried...
  7. It's because you're looking at a game on the 2600 with crappy graphics and expect crappy sound. You look at a game on the 7800 with good graphics you expect good sound. Not all Super Game carts had Pokey and not all non-super games didn't have pokey...
  8. When I play the 7800 version Mario seems a little touchy at times, like you have to be pixel perfect to climb the stairs... Question: Has anybody thought of doing a hack of DK that includes support for Pokey and has the missing level? Maybe cleaning up the controls and speed a bit? Same for DK Jr?
  9. American Hero wasn't an Atari game. It was developed by a outside company. I had read where the negative was damaged and insurance claimed the project a complete loss. Only so much got off the ground. But yeah, there's no reason you couldn't shoot what you want in normal DV and convert it to crappy Cinepak. Would anybody know if it's possible to do MPEG on the Jag for better looking video?
  10. I didn't see that, but I'm biased by having the 7800 version first. I thought they looked largely the same. The C64 version was really helped by that sound though. There's quite a few differences when you compare side by side. The spy is shaped a little weird in the 7800 version with a square knee and large nose. The robots look different too. Theres some other stuff. But nothing too big.
  11. My personal opinion, but the 7800 is not as good as the C64 counterpart. Even though most of the gameplay is the same, the C64 is a little more graphically pleasing.
  12. I remember a thread I came across on here that over 3 years old, some guy was trying to (maybe he succeeded, I doubt it..) buy the rights for Thea, don't have a clue whatever happened to that plan. The choppy animation from the videos of it kinda ruined the awe of it.. but that could have been fixed. At CGE 2004 it was on display and said to be 95% finished by it's producer. The videos of it, that I saw, ran pretty smoothly and it seemed to have a lot of playability to it. It's one of those games that if possible, Carl should get a hold of. I definitely shell out some $$$ for that.
  13. Agreed. Wish we could have seen Thea Realm Fighters.
  14. I'm curious... I know of the Game.com unit and have seen it in stores... yet I've never seen one in action. Where does it stand as far as a portable goes? I mean, I know most people aren't too excited about it, but is it as powerful as a gameboy? Better?
  15. Wasn't that game like $40 something when it came out? Me too... me too...
  16. I try!! Friggen Empire Strikes Back!!! No matter how hard I try those damn AT-ATs keep coming at me!!!
  17. I remember the Elvis episode freaked me out for some reason when I was younger. I think it claimed to have the last photos of Elvis right before he died...
  18. It was a show that ran for quite a long time. It was hosted by Robert Stack and it focused around crimes and disapperances that were, drum role please, unsolved. I re-heard its opening title not too long ago and immediately thought of Tempest 2000. I mean, we're talking a 4 channel mod versus a orchestrated piece, but it has some similarities that are very close. Mostly in the first half of each song.
  19. Does anybody think the theme song to TVs "Unsolved Mysteries" sounds a lot like the splash screen song on Tempest 2000?
  20. That IS a great wrestling game!! I would have forgotten about it otherwise!
  21. Yeah, I took C++ from a teacher who had been teaching Pascal all his life. He was a great teacher with Pascal but unfortunately didn't know too much about C++ and it made it a little hard for me and the rest of the class. I'd say start kids off at whatever is hot at the time. I picked up Basic on my own with no teacher as it was the one of the only languages that was readily available.
  22. I've seen the movie "Spartan X" and see very little similarities between it and the game (even though it is true). Spartan X is called "Wheels on Meals" here in the states and it's a great Jackie Chan flick. I've always heard its inspiration came from Bruce Lee's "Game of Death," which involves Bruce climbing up a tower with a different, more powerful villain on each floor.
