I get tired of the "what games should I get" and "is the jaguar 64 bits" and "just got a jaguar" threads... These threads were actually a breath of fresh air.. even when it did get a little ridiculous... Yeah, let's get back onto the same old boring stale thread that we've talked about 5 million times over... let's all roll our eyes at somebody that wants to make a joke every now and then...So, anyway, what games do you think I should get next?
I agree with all except the "just got a jaguar" thread, we should open arms to the new people in the Jaguar family
Point them in the right direction for games and what not, forshame Trip Cannon, time has aged you a bitter and angry person.
I only point out that thread title because it usually leads to... like you said, what games should I get?

I think you may be used to xbox and PS3... that's what the images look like..admittedly it's been two or three weeks since I played my Nuon, but that is not how they look on my TV. I have it up hooked via component
Is there any way you can get some snapshots?

It's a pretty smooth game overall, and it looks nice, but it wasn't what I thought it was going to be...
I took the images straight from the DVD to my digital camcorder via SVHS to my computer via firewire...
I think you may be used to xbox and PS3... that's what the images look like..

Alright, here's some images captured straight from the machine... I couldn't find my controller so I did the best I could with remote.. so the screen shots aren't the most exciting... but you'll get a decent idea, I hope..

I should be able to... I'll try tonight... It's been awhile since I've played Freefall... but I just don't remember being blown away...

I own a Nuon and Freefall... and it doesn't look like Perfect Dark nor does it have the vast playability or large world that PD does... Freefall, once into the game... looks only slightly better than a PS1 game in my opinion...

Shame... It's real hard to tell its true power with games like Ballistic and Space Invaders XL... Even some of the unreleased games were no better than the 10 year old library of the Jaguars.. games like Dragons Lair, Space Ace, Myst, Pitfall...Tempest 3k does'nt show its true power?
You see, I don't know...
with T3K being a first generation title, I doubt Nuon shot all its load on that one game... and games like Space Invaders and New Tetris didn't help... -

So I've always heard that Nuon was made by ex Atari employees and all that. And with that it suffered the same fate, or even worse. So it's another system we'll never get to see the full potential. How similar were they? Was it easier to develop for? Could it have been compared to the Jag or Jag II perhaps? Could Tempest 3000 or Iron Soldier 3 been created on the Jag?

Yes, the Atari 2600 is on the list (as well as the NES, PS2, C64, Wii and other computers)...

Quite a few Jag games made it on to PC... and vice versa... Most were ported from PC so I'm thinking you're asking what exclusive Jag games made it to PC... Soooooo... I don't know if you want to include Aliens vs. Predator on that list... but I think T2k is the only exclusive title to be ported to PC...

A better possibility is Thea Realm Fighters as it's 99% complete the last time I saw it at CGE...When was that? Last time I saw it at CGE (about 4 years ago) it was 60% at best.

Hmmm, I was there for 2004 and the guy from High Voltage was the one who said that it was 90 something percent complete... (may not have been 99) but he said that there was only a little bit of tweaking needed....

Lynx has sold about 150,000 units in the U.S. and about 100,000 units in Japan to date.So, there's 250,000... That's ONLY those two countries up to that point.. that's not including the UK, which it was popular there too.. The article goes on to say that 80,000 units per month were produced. So 640,000 units would have been made by the years end.
Does anybody know when the Lynx was officially discontinued or no longer made?

Games like that are ONLY fun when playing two player... elsewise it can get VERY boring VERY fast... Wish it could have been "Jordan vs. Bird" as that was a nice improvement over the original... the 7800 version was far better than the coleco version or C64 ports..
