Anyone know what unreleased game Amy Hennig worked on?
Trip_Cannon replied to DEBRO's topic in Atari 7800
Games like Mario 3 and Kirby had an added chip in the cart to make them what they were didn't they? -
Interesting... http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/17/space-i...invades-spaces/

Anyone tried Descent: Freespace
Trip_Cannon replied to warmachine's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I believe if you can find somebody with a copy of Freespace 2, you're legally allowed to make a copy of it for use on your system. The source code was released to the public a few years ago and severeal enhancements were made. Check it out at: www.freespace2.com -
Was there any documentation provided to developers to help handle machine specific code for Atari's custom chips? I think I remember reading awhile back that Atari was very strict with their docs and didn't provide it to very many coders or companies. I also seem to remember in that article (which may be BS as my memory of it is foggy) that Jeff Minter was able to "steal" some of the Jag's tools while at the Atari's headquarters to use in T2k... If that were true, it sure as hell doesn't make any sense... but like I said, the article I saw was a while back...

I'm not sure on the "Grandpa" thing myself. You'd think on the box it would state something like "Featuring Grandpa Munster" instead of just "Featuring Grandpa." From the picture it's obviously Al Lewis from the munsters.... whatever... Another thing, in the manual it says "Copyright 1990 SNK Corp." Did SNK do this game?

Alpine Games hands down.... A good second choice for me would be Dracula...

Ahhhh, Oregon Trail... FORD THE RIVER!!! -
I love the Lynx, but Atari really only marketed and branded the unit; I still think of it in many ways as an Epyx product. Notwithstanding that, I'd put the Lynx up there with the 800 and the Amiga 1000 as the best Atari/Atari related products. Weren't most of the Atari products designed by exterior companies? 7800 by GCC, Jaguar by Flare, etc... Even Nintendo approached Atari first with the NES with hopes of them marketing it...

Considering how fast I go through normal prolines, $60 may not be a bad investment. I know you haven't had it for that long, but is it pretty sturdy? Looks like you can pound nails with it...

So Mr. Big isn't really all that bad for helping you out along the way..

And then there's "Mad Nurse" for the c64... A game where you can electrocute, drown, and use stun gas on new born babies...

For one of a kind games I look to the computer classics. Namely C64... Impossible Mission, Archon, Skool Daze, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Project Firestart, Forbidden Forest 1 & 2, Tusker... Not to mention all the classic Lucasfilm games... And those are only the ones that come to the top of my head...

FIGHT! I love the characters reflections in that stage...

Makes me wonder, was this game supposed to be over the 128k mark? -
The whole reason I bought MIA in the first place was so Chuck wouldn't kill me!

You'd almost think those graphics ARE on the NES... So those are just mockups.. not the real shots from the 7800? -
You better hope Chuck Norris and his extra fist don't catch wind of your opinion...

The twin cities dead for thrifting?
Trip_Cannon replied to S1500's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Thrift shops are dead EVERYWHERE now. Too many kids stealing from the companies trying to get rich on ebay. -
You know what I've actually come to enjoy watching on Youtube is "longplay" videos. Check out the one for Nebulus (Tower Toppler).

COULD Jag have competed with the Playstation Graphically?
Trip_Cannon replied to A_Gorilla's topic in Atari Jaguar
Gorf, you mentioned earlier that Battlesphere was the best effort on the Jaguar thus far... Was that using 68k or was it working without it?
