Hi Charles
i looked at 8bitclassics and saw the new price. This seems to be more reasonable.
And if anyone wants a cart,he should be able to afford it now.
Sometimes i do not understand some users.
You are hacking a game,or programming a new one.Everybody wants the bin file and wants to play it on his emulator. And everybody has so the possibility to burn his own cartridge. But if you want to sell your game on cart, some people cry about a high price. But nobody is forced to buy a cart. So,why crying?
Certainly there are some hacks or homebrews, which are cheaper. But sometimes the programmer or hacker earns nothing or makes even minus.I think the programmer or hacker of a game could earn some money on the carts too.
Because i know, how much work it is to make a new game or to hack one.
And think about some games, which you must buy,if you want to play them, because the programmer does not offer the bin file, like the 2600 Poker Squares or the 2600 Mental Combat.Or the games by Ebivision.Or like some 5200 titles.I can say for myself. If i want a game and i think it is really good,i will buy it,
if i have enough money.

Hi Neo
nice thread. But everyone should decide for himself,if he buys cartridges for 50 dollars or not.If you decide to make a SIPLIX cart,i will certainly buy one.
In germany we have in the TV a show named "Verstehen sie Spass?"
To translate this in english language is a little bit difficult, but this show is a little bit satiric, sometimes with black humour,at the costs of other people.
So any words to Charles.Take it easy.

Hi Guys
i got a Cyplix pre release cart and i can say that Charles made a really big Cyplix special edition pack. And this pack was worth his price.Yo can look for this post in Marketplace.
About 50 dollars for a Cyplix cart from 8bit domain,i can say the following.If someone makes a game and another one sells it and both want to earn a little bit;
then the price is ok.And anyone can decide,if he wants an original cartridge or not.
So,why speaking bad about Charles and Corey.
I hope, that there will be new hacks by Charles(especially Cyplix 2)in the future.

Hi Guys
last week,i won a nice old Competition Pro(USB)
It is excellent for using with emulators(especially with my Z26 emu)
If anyone is interested, check this adress
http://3dsupply.de/3d/shop/showkat.php?KPATH=41
The joystick works very fine(like the good old Competition Pro) and is really cheap,
only 13,50 Euro
If i think, how expensive the old one was.
The company 3dsupply has also a blue one,but this is not so cheap.

yesterday,i got my Cyplix cartridge(Hack made by Atari Charles).I was very surprised, when opening the package.Charles added some very special Cyplix items. The following items were included.
-Cyplix headphones(very nice idea),with special manual
-Cyplix hat(very cool)
-a book with Cyplix notes
-some special photos about his Pac Man auction(long time ago at ebay)in a christmas bag
-some video game merchandising (Playstation T-shirt and Donkey Kong sticker)
-a Towel
This was the biggest special edition pack,i ever got.The Cyplix hat,the towel and the T-shirt are not at the photo.Because i go on holliday next week and they are now in my suitcase.

I'm scrapping the code that I had for Thought Police (search the posts here or its in the [stella] archives) and going back to the drawing board. Originally it was supposed to be a game based on Logan's Run, or something similar, and the overwhelming consensus was that Logan's Run would be a better Adventure/Superman style game. How would it work? Just plot the game around the storyline of the book, and have a really large world map?
I'm interested in reviving the Logan's Run game, although I think I may end up going back to something similar to the first Thought Police mockup.
Hi
i could not find the Thoght police file.Could you post it please?

Hi there!Well, since I had no other suggestions in the pipe, I thought to start into the new year by launching a series of polls regarding C64 classics.
I personally would say "all of the above", but being forced to choose, I think it'd be either Beach Head or Gateway to Apshai for me

Greetings,
Manuel
Hi Manuel
Aztec Challenge is a work in progress of Simon Quernhorst. Its name is

Cyplix NTSC with manual at 8-Bit Classics
in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Posted
Hi Ntavio
The special edition pack is a one of a kind.So its only me,who got it.I was the first, who wanted to buy Cyplix from Charles.I made him an offer and he accepted.
I sent him the money, but there were any problems with the cartridge producer.
And so it took a long time, until i got my Cyplix cart. And for my patience Charles made this special pack for me.Charles kept me updated all the time, about the release. No problems for me,waiting such a long time,i was really rewarded.Really great.
