Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Sure!!! It would be great!!! And if you don't mind sending a couple from the outside so I can fix one thing or two, I would be forever thankful. Do you have any of the module boxes (#2 and #3)? -

Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in 3DO Interactive Multiplayer

Please do Brood69, and feel free to post ideas, suggetions, requests, and if you have any rare boxes that you're willing to share pictures , scans and dimensions, please do it too. I'll keep them on my database and recriate them all. -
There's something I would like to share with you guys that are helping me on my projects, before I start a topic about it. I am working on another project, with the collaboration and idea from Rafael Cardoso, also from Brazil, on a mock up box for the never released The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. The project really is going fast and is really doing well. I even built a prototype to test the materials for the most accurate box, and even the first prototype turned out amazing. We are still working on the text, because we have to make it up from scratch, I have some ideas on how to build the board and we've yet to create the instructions (from scratch). (Since it's only available from Rene's cart) so, if anyone is interested on the project, please tell me so. And we would really appreciate if someone with more information on the game, would share with us. And if you think I shoul post a separated topic for it to get help, and make the box available. Thanks again

This is so cool!!! Thanks again.

metarog, metarog, what can I say but thank you... I can't thank you enough for this. It's so hard to find that information that when someone does it, It's hard for me to believe... This is perfect. I'll keep you informed on my progress and if any doubt comes along, I'll ask you, for sure. Is it possible to send pics of the styrofoam also? I'd like to run a parallel project and test my habilities on that also. Thanks again

ColecoVision System box replica

I'll keep you informed when I get the box ok? This one I asked for a third party to built for me, and if it turns out ok, I'll let you know. And about buying, when I get the dimensions and weight of the box I ask at the post office how much would it cost to send it to you and I'll charge you just the price of shipping, printing and the cardboard, ok? -
ColecoVision System box replica
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
The ColecoVision box art project is ready, not we enter the phase in which i build a prototype, then I'll post the picture of it, we get our feedbacks and improve ou deprove something here or there. Then the last step is to assemble the final version, with the proper material. Then it will be ready. The only real difficult problem I found, replicating the ColecoVision box was that All the information I took was through fishing in the internet. I wasn't posting desperately on forums begging for help and information yet like Jimmy Wales from Wikipedia when they are running low on money.. So I gathered all the info I could through google, found the dimensions in some obscure forum and created it by heart. So, to sum it up, the first part of the project, which is designing the art is done. And if someone would want the files, please ask me at my email [email protected] cause it's available now. I have the faces separated because I couldn't get a hold on an actual box to see exactly how it was folded, but from the photos a assumed it was like tha Atari 7800 which I have and I put the pieces together like that. But i have all the separated files too and even the .psd files if you would want to edit to add or subtract something before production. All you have to do is contact me and I'll send you the art for you to take phase 2 and 3 on your own hands. I'll be more than happy to help in all processes. It will be a new thing for me because I'm yet to get to phase 3 on my first box myself, but it would be an adventure... So SiLic0ne t0aD85, after all this text, the answer is. The art is ready and if you'd like me to send you please give me your email or write to me on mine [email protected] Thanks for the support -
Hi KylJoy, one of my projects (with Igallair) is the Atari 2600 replica box (one of the many variants) and Igallair's been most valuabe as my collaborator and sent me this from his box. It's just the picture for now, because he was asking if I would need it, and I rememberd this post and asked him to send more detailed info or even the measurements. If there's progress I'll send more.

Thanks spacecadet!! But I could never charge money for those... It doesn't feel right... But I'll gladly send some to you if you'd pay the shipping costs. Or like I always say I could send you the finished art and all you'd have to do is print and fold... -
Like I said, I'm not trying to fool anyone into thinking they are original, and we work with whatever we get.

Hello metarog, I was surprised when someone made that request for the box. It seems they released the art of what would be the box, and an incomplete art for the board. It seems that the game was only released on Renes Multicart, but it's very hard to play without the instructions, which was never released. There's some symbols in the game that I can use to complete the art for the board, but it will be something completely made up, just for storage and aesthetic purposes. I woulb be forever grateful for the voice pics and measurements. And thanks for the compliments.

Actually, that's a great idea. Which size were you thinking? I could easily build one with thick paper and post the picture for you to see. If you think it looks ok, I could send you the prints, or what would be cheaper, I'd send you the art and you could do it at home. And thanks for the compliment!!! I'm trying to use this talent to give back to the community. -

Hey Yurkie, thank you very much!!!! And actually the cost of making a box is not so high. Let me show you what it's costing me. Printing in adhesive material (60,00 reais) and I chose to print in another city because I couldn't find a decent place in my hometown that would print in a quality of my satisfaction. Shipping cost of the print (20,00 reais) and the cardboard to apply it, cut and fold (10,00 reais). Total 90,00 reais, which is around 30 dollars. (If I print in my hometown, the cost would drop to 60,00 reais). I can't find anywhere to buy the boxes in Brazil, and when I do it's not less than 150,00 reais. When I find it in ebay, the shipping costs and then the import fees are unbelievable. There's a guy that sells replica boxes, and he charges 80,00 reais for them. -
Hello again. I got a request to design a replica box for the Videopac C7420 Home Computer Module, If anyone has it and be kind the post the dimensions of the box and some high quality pictures, it would be awesome!!! As always, I'll post the results here and make it available for whoever wants it. This is the box http://www.the-nextlevel.com/odyssey2/inserts/image.php?image=collect/hardware/peripherals/c7420_box.jpg I'll start a side project for the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes Master Strategy Game box and board too. I'll post that too. Thanks again.

Here it is!!! The final and assembled version. There are some minimal imperfections, but I don't think it will interfere in the box itself. I'm sending it to printing and when I get it, I'll post the box and start the styrofoam project. Thanks to all that replied and a special thank you for the collaboration from Igallair. I have other open projects in other forums, but always with the same topic, the system box replicas. Igallair is also helping with those projects.

Hello everyone from the forum. I'm in the middle of a project that I started at the 3DO, Vectex and ColecoVision forums, which is replicating the box from the consoles. I was Having a terrible time trying to find empty boxes so I decided to build them myself. I need the boxes to organize my consoles in a neat and ,why not, beautiful way to display them. The ideia is just storing them and not try to fool other people into thinking they are the real deal, but also to make them as similar as possible. i got great collaboration from fellow member Igallair who provided all the information and clean pictures from the Vectrex box so I could start the project. you can see the result at http://atariage.com/forums/topic/263026-vectrex-console-box-and-dimensions/?do=findComment&comment=3720249. It's a work in progress. Now the part where concern you guys. I have the Magnavox Odyssey 2 system and the Videopac G7200. Igallair already told be that if I needed the art for the Odyssey 2, he would provide the pictures and dimensions. And if someone has the rarer box for the 7200 I would be forever grateful (ask Igallair) if you could post pics and dimensions for it too. I would be posting my progress with the replication and would make the material available for whoever asks for it to use it to build their own boxes. I'll leave the link of the 3DO and ColecoVision projects as well so you can see I'm serious and the work is worth it. Thanks for your time and hope to hear from you guys soon Another thing... I would be more than happy to try to replicate any box from any system from anybody who ask me to do it. And I make replica boxes for the cartridges too. Just ask me. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/263027-3do-fz-1-console-box-and-dimensions/?do=findComment&comment=3718556 http://atariage.com/forums/topic/263224-colecovision-system-box-replica/?do=findComment&comment=3719104

The last part that requires pictures is done, thanks to a great collaboration from Igallair again, who provided the pics I asked him. Later I'll be posting all parts separated and assembled, and at last, later on, the box itself.
-
Another update: The last two pics on the bottom are missing, because the pics from Igallair had a glare in them and I couldn't use it. I already asked him for another picture and as soon as he replies I'll fix it and post the final result of this side. And start the last one. I'm already working on the bottom and top parts. I reduced the opacity on the grid and really enjoyed the result and ended up adjusting the other sides as well. It got softer and lighter and much better to look at. Thanks again

ColecoVision System box replica
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Hello everybody!! I'm starting a project for the module boxes. If any collector who owns the boxes from the modules #2 and #3 could be so kind to post some pictures of the sides of boxes and some of the dimensions (like Igallair did on my vectrex post http://atariage.com/forums/topic/263026-vectrex-console-box-and-dimensions/),I'll be forever thankful and pot the results for whomever want to use it. If there's any interest at all I can send the art in photoshop format so people could enjoy maximum definition and add or change whatever it is you like or dislike about the box. Thanks again
