You need to watch a good tutorial on workplanes

I have. I'm a boss at beveling or rounding straight edges. (even though it is somewhat tedious.)

But, if my shape is curved like, perhaps the bottom of a rocking chair, I do not know how to bevel that curved edge.

If you've found a tutorial for that, I'd love to see it.

    Thank you.

  2. Steve,

These are AWESOME!  Thank you for releasing the .stl files. I know how much work you have put into these and you nailed the state of designing on the head. Tinkercad is so awesome, but has its limits. Everything else I tried is like WAY overkill. If Tinkercad would just offer a "router" tool where you can route the edges of a shape (one side at a time, rather than where certain shapes can do that for all sides together) it would really solve the biggest problem I have experienced with designing things.

Would you be willing to share what filament you are using for each color?

Note: If you do, I will make a donation to your site for the cost of the first roll of filament I buy so you can also buy another roll. (Alsol if you don't, then I'll just have to guess about how much you are paying for filament and donate that amount instead.) ;)

    Thank you again!

Yes, if you want to play games from your Steam, EPIC games, Origin, etc., accounts, that will need to be streamed from our servers (it's the only way to play the highest performance PC games on a machine like this). Modest network performance is needed for smooth play. There are several other ways to play games other than what's built into the machine (including plugging in other systems), plus there's going to be an open API for third parties to develop more features.

I am going to slightly disagree with you. You can stream steam games to pretty much anything from your own PC locally without going outside your home network. So, there is another option, but it doesn't generate any revenue for Atgames, so...

I struggle with why this is better than retropi, a xarcade tankstick and a 50" flatscreen TV? ;)

Oh we were making mix tapes. Even today I have the order of many songs burned in my brain.

We used to put data cassettes in the car and listen to the loading sounds at full voume with the windows down just to confuse the people that heard it...

When we weren't listening to that we literally wore out our Scorpions Love at First Sting tape.

  5. I got an Atari as I was entering High School, then I took a typing class about a year later. The typewriters we used (I believe they were IBM, maybe Canon) had slight differences that I now recognize as the difference between US keyboards and UK keyboards.

Atari and Commodore seemed to use the UK keyboard. (" on the 2 key)

IBM, Apple Coleco and TI seemed to use the US keyboard. (@ on the 2 key)

Any idea what drove these decisions back in the day?

  6. I found a keyboard that has the large return key, so the Atari arrow keys work where they are supposed to be and it has a pause key so I can use that break. (I know I can use the tilde/grave quote too)

mostly, I wanted the arrow keys to work. I put the stickers on and it is great.

But the stickers do not appear to have a cold reset, system menu or input menu sticker. So, that’s kind of a bummer.

Ill post pictures tomorrow or later tonight.

Edit: Here is the keyboard I bought:

Thanks, I'm ordering the cheaper one too. I can load new firmware myself, I'm not paying an extra $30 for that "service." That's ridiculous. I'd definitely rather give Jon donations separately at my convenience like I have in the past.

Yep. That's what I'm going to do too.

  8. My dad worked in a factory where they made brakes. He was a plumber. Back the brakes were made with asbestos. They used to throw it like snowballs. He was occasionally literally swimming in it.

    He he now has asbestosis.

so, I’m glad hardy board doesn’t have it any more.

For those who still have problems logging in, please read what is written on the website:

In Germany, the "city" line begins with the zip code and the street address with the name of the street.  For 95% of the users, the instructions are therefore quite clear. For the remaining 5%, I tried to explain it as mentioned above. We have to somehow deal with address information that is irrelevant in Germany, such as in which of the 50 states you live in etc. Please excuse that we can't make a system that works based on the little information we have on each member and at the same time provides reasonable security and works with foreign addresses without making little adjustments here and there.

Thank you for the clarification. It’s still unclear, however, why we cannot just use our ABBUC login.

after I paid my membership fee, I was asked to give my account ID and then was told that account has all member privileges now.

Doesn't the ABBUC site know which accounts belong to members?

I joined Abbuc recently as well, and I can't log in either. However my membership seems to be a bit messed up as I also can't download anything from the members software/hardware area.

On my address label you have me as surname (B), forename (S)

My postal code is nnnnnn, on the label it's USA-nnnnnn

My address starts with a number 'a'

    My membership number is mmm

    I've tried:-

    mmmSBaU

    mmmBSaU

    mmmSBan

    mmmBSan

    they all bounce back.

For me, it turned out zip code was actually my state. I used the first letter of my state and it worked.

  11. Actually. I didn’t vote.

A week or so ago, I saw that the entries would be released to members.

So I went to the site and under the membership menu, i selected become a member. I received an email, paid my membership fee. And then a few days later I was given my membership number  told to create an account (which is what I thought I was already doing.)

i went  back to the site clicked the. It logged in button and from there I selected do not have an account.

Then I set up my account. Sent my username back to the email and a little while later received a response that I had full access.

I guess I’m not sure what the difference is between having an account and being a member...

  12. I did. I know my member number. I just recently became a member. When I registered, address was optional. Seems if it is going to be used like this, perhaps it should be required?

unless it is using the address I gave when I filled out the form to join.

Its confusing, because there are two different places to sign up and it’s not clear what the difference is until you’ve gone through it.
