  1. Here is fixed version which works fine with SIO patch. I just added init block with turning Antic off. I just wonder if we can call this version "final". Were all minor bugs mentioned on AtariProtos fixed? I don't think so... F. Sinistar.xex
  2. I sent email with my order 24 hours ago but no response so far... F.
  3. Are there any instructions anywhere to build one? Allan Please note that you need patched version of MidiMaze (done by Raster) to use it with these SIO based MIDI interfaces... F.
  4. Drat! I can do it ever better. 47 seconds... As you said.. Yes, it's getting harder. Number of enemies is increasing and they are faster and faster. F.
  5. Fastest time is very nice idea!! 51 seconds... F.
  6. READ the 1st post before clicking the link V1.xex works nicely ----------------- Hey _Fandal_ I was reading your blog about HERO but the google translate was a bit fuzzy... did you say you'd discovered that you can shoot through a barrier if you run out of bombs Yes, you can destroy barrier by shooting! F.
  7. Level 69, score 1,000.000+ I LOVE this game! F.
  8. Hi! I had some free time today so I played Pac-man as it is current game in HSC. And I was suprised how easy this game is as I had pretty high score without too much trouble. But then I realized that I'm playing some different version of the game. I searched Atarimania and I found out that Pac-man was released by Atari in 1982 as a cartridge. My file version looks very very simillar but it has different title screen (with copyright Atari 1982 message) and gameplay is much easier as monsters are slower. Any ideas what my file version is supposed to be? Is it some hack or beta version of what? F.
  9. I tried version 1.3e but it didn't work for me as well... Have you tried 1.2, just as a quick check? -John Oh my, everything is OK under version 1.2! Thanks for help! F.
  10. I have troubles running some 128kB games under ProSystem 1.3 emulator (Win32). Ikari Warriors or Planet Smashers boot but both games lock up after intro, Midnight Mutants even doesn't boot. Where could be problem? I downloaded 7800.rom and .a78 cart images, set up BIOS and region to NTSC but I didn't get any further. I would really appreciate any help... F.
  11. It's a known issue with Atari800WinPLus - it has only partially working emulation of 5200 buttons. There's a similar easter egg in the 8-bit Ballblazer - maybe you could check if it exists in the 5200 version? It's got to be in there. The levels are 1-9. So some kind of combination. Allan That wasn't too difficult to find! You must press keys 1, 6, 7, 2, 9, 4, 3, 8 to trigger hidden credits at the same moment as is described in 8-bit version. Just be fast! Please test it on real HW. F. I did it really fast but nothing. What did you have the other settings on? Did you just start the game and waited for the playfield to appear? Allan You must enter this sequence while credits "Ballblazer", "A Lucasfilm production", "Regulation Certified" are flashing. Entering secret code new message should appear. F.
  12. I've just tested it on real PAL HW. Check the screenshot. Antic is in troubles. F.

  14. Nice to hear that! Any other mystery to solve? F.
  15. Sorry for my broken English. Select level 05 using "#" or "*" keys and then press "5" key to enter the first part of code. Then select level 12 and press "5" again. Then do the same with levels 15, 16, 11, 13, 14. Names of authors should appear then. It works in emulator. I just don't understand why some key clicks are ignored in emulator. It hapens to me very often while selecting level and it seems to happen while pressing "5" key as well. I need to know if the same issue happens on real HW. F.
  16. I wasn't sure but "Blue Max" rating is there! I completed the game in six missions killing more than dozen of enemy aircrafts and my rank was "Blue Max" Class 3... F.
  17. Hi all! Some time ago, Allan asked in this topic if it is possible to trigger secret message in 5200 version of Rescue of Fractalus. I was able to find how to trigger it disassembling cartridge dump but I need some testing on real HW because there is some weird behaviour of RoF in Atari800Win PLus emulator. What is going on? I noticed that sometimes I must press # or * keys several times to change starting level. In other words, some key clicks are ignored or not registered. Does it works the same way on real HW or is it just some emulator issue? Why am I asking? To trigger the secret message you must do this: select level 05 and press "5" key to accept the first number of activation code. Complet activation code is 05, 12, 15, 16, 11, 13, 14 and all numbers must be entered by pressing "5" key. And that is the problem in my favourite emulator as I usually must press #5 several times. I can't believe it was supposed to work this way... Could someone test this on real HW, please? F.
  18. OK. Using "save state" I was able to score 99.990 points and finish the game. My rank was "Flying Tiger" which is easy to earn for much lower score... F.
  19. Yes, I mean after taking off. It's my favourite trick. I wait for the bomber to appear and then I quickly press fire to take off. I'm not sure about this. But I will check it for sure using "save state" feauture. F.
  20. What?? How?? What?? I don't believe it. Are you using the same file version you gave me? Did you hack in a cheat code? I might have believed it if you had 45000 or something, but 100000? How many times did you go through the city? How did you fly that long without getting killed? How did you take screenshots with such perfect timing? (before AND after bombing that building and while it is in the middle of exploding??) What was your final rank? Where's the final screenshot? I'm waiting for answers... tapping my foot on the ground... staring at the ceiling... cursing under my breath. OK. Some answers... It's important to know that I play on novice/no gravity settings. I would say that I flew through city 50 times or so while beating the counter. I usually get 2000+ points per one flight so it is easy to count. I didn't finish the last mission to tell the truth. I just destroyed the last bunker, beat the score counter and close the emulator with big "Hurray!". And don't worry, I didn't beat the counter on the first try. I tried to beat it for one WEAK but I was killed many times (usually on my own airfield by those damned enemy bombers). But believe me, I really did it. As I said, I played Blue Max a lot in the past and I still play it from time to time. I would say that I'm pretty good in this game. I can make some video if you want... And now some hints and tricks. * You get 30 points by bombing roofs in the city so you can use every single bomb on city missions. * You get 300 points by killing enemy plane which is trying to bomb your base. * You must be below 25 meters to attack ground units (status screen is brown). * It is easy to kill slow enemy plane which is coming from behind if you fly to the left corner. Enemy plane will follow you to the left and you can shot it from behind. This doesn't work if you fly to the right. * You can stop refueling/repairing at your base in enemergency by pressing fire. * "P" = enemy Plane is about to come, which is very useful to know. ("W" = some common warning, "*"=???) * You only can kill the enemy plane if you are in the same altitude (status screen is blue). F.
  21. OK. Blue Max is one of the best games for A8 of all times, in opinion. I played it to the death back in the days and I still love its balanced gameplay. I think nobody should be surprised that I beat score counter. On the first screenshot is the last big bunker before my final strike, on the second one it is exploding... F.
