Right then, it's not much of a poll if there's only one choice. I don't have anything against Q*bert's Qubes, but I don't really care for the 2600 version of Mr. Do!'s Castle. I like the arcade version though. I had forgotten about Super Cobra and Star Wars: TAG. So the poll choices(revised) are: Gyruss Super Cobra Star Wars: TAG
-
I was trying to limit the choices to good games.

What Parker Brothers Bankswitched game would you most like to see converted into F6? Gyruss Or Montezuma's Revenge

Find out where "That guy" lives. Let's form an angry mob and T.P. his house or something!

Which type of Bankswitch PCB would you like the most to be available for purchase at the AA store? Parker Brothers Activision 8K Atari 16K w/ SuperChip Tigervision CBS Ram+ M-Network Should companies that still hold the copyrights to games (eg. Activision, Starpath) Offer an Itunes type of service where you can download the roms of their games for a small fee? Yes! No

I don't know if it qualifies as a sport or not, but I like the foosball variation on video olympics.

I only collect the good stuff, and being unemployed really hurts my ability to collect. So my current collection is incredibly small.

Cut him some slack, man. There are a lot of ignorant people out there, and besides, everyone calls the stuff they sell rare nowadays.....
-
I saw that earlier when I was surfing Ebay... My guess is that the seller meant PAL instead of PAYPAL. That's 'cause he say's "you need the PAYPAL version of the atari to play it..."

How could you stand to play it in b&w?
-
There's no real point in making it use PB bankswitching, 'cause it could be converted to f6. Someone out there has converted a pb game to f6, I can't remember who though......
-
Yeah that's right, my bad. But still, if a lot of homebrews did start using methods of bankswitching that aren't available at the AA store, someone would probably convert them to a different format before selling them. Let's all start a petition to change this! Who's with me?!
-
There was one homebrew, Climber 5, I think that used the Superchip. They ripped superchips out of a pile of Dig Dug carts. How did they manage to do that then? Did they sell carts with wires running all through them or something? Let's try to get all the homebrew authors to write games that require the superchip and games that use PB bankswitching. That way, if any of them are to be sold in the AA store, Al and Joe will have to start selling new kinds of boards with PLDs.
-
Tempest, have you asked Activision if you could release it?
-
Is there a dump of the Bloody Human version of Freeway available? Just looking at the screens of it isn't good enough. I want to actually play it.

John, I have chips.txt, I was trying to figure out how to implement the Superchip's internal mapping in descrete logic like you did on your site for E0, F8, and F6. @Mitch I already saw John's site, (it's in my favorites folder). What I meant by that is, why doesn't the AA store sell PLDs and boards that do the PB and Tigervision bankswitching methods? Just blank ones like the ones they sell for F8, F6, and F4 Bs methods?
-
Does anyone know how the superchip maps itself into the memory? If we can come up with an easy way to do the superchip's mapping, we could submit it to the AA store and see if they would be willing to sell it.... The same goes for the PB and tigervision bankswitching methods....

Well, yeah actually. I finished the series that had been running on Cartoon Network for awhile and I like the PS2 games alot. I need to find another game that uses the same engine.
-
Does anyone have or know where I can find scans of the Radio Electronics magazine issues that feature the schematics for the Atari Game Recorder? I would like to attempt to build it, or at least see how Makewav was implemented in hardware.

But when using MAME, you lose some of that nostalgic feeling, I prefer sitting on my ass in front of the TV with a wrist-breaking joystick over sitting at my computer with a keyboard. One word: Stelladaptor. Even with a stelladaptor, it's still not the same as playing it on the original hardware. Besides, emulators aren't perfect.
