  1. 3 Combats, 1 E.T., 1 Pacman, all respectively. Blackbird wrote: I think that a cart's value would be based on rarity, and amount of fun, so combats and E.T.s would be worthless. Also, what would prototypes be considered? The Tiawan coopers? What about multicarts? The spare change would really burn a hole in your pocket though.
  2. Yeah, the flicker doesn't really bother me at all, but I guess that people with a very high fusion frequency are the main reason that there are warnings on games about having an epilleptic seizure.
  3. Well of course the audio files are going to be huge, they're WAVs. I don't think it would be possible to upgrade without writing a whole new engine and burning it to a microcontroller. And besides, most modern microcontrollers don't use parallel data without a shift register. It would also be more trouble than it's worth.
  4. The LCD flickering was (and still is) applied with LCD shutterglasses like the ones for the master system and the Vectrex.
  5. Sorry, I was typing that reply when you posted yours. If that is the case, then how do the multiload games work anyways? And how come the Supercharger games are 8448 bytes as a binary file on the computer while they are able to fit into the SC's 6k of ram?
  6. Really! Cool! I knew about the 2k and 4k games, but not the 8K! Guess it doesn't hurt to ask! PLEASE! Tell me more about the 8k possibility! Post a link to where I can download software that does this! I can finally play Gyruss! Yay!
  7. That's what I thought. Just wanted to be sure, so I thought I'd ask.
  8. Is there anyway to convert a larger game (8k+) into a multi-load supercharger game? This thought just occurred to me, I realized that the multi-load supercharger games must be larger than 6k, otherwise the multi-load part wouldn't be neccessary. It would be really sweet to be able to play homebrews and (semi-)rare games like Montezuma's Revenge, Q*bert's Qubes, Thrust+, Return of Mario Bros., etc. that are larger than allowed by the supercharger. I know that the Cuttle Cart has that kind of power, but it is nearly impossible to find one, and if you do find one, it is WAY overpriced. Just a thought.
  9. Hey, I would like to join the HSC! BTW, would I get in trouble if I posted a link to a site where you can download Activision and other non-public domain games? I'm very tempted to do so, I think anyone should be able to participate, regardless of whether or not they actually own the game.

    Cheetah Codes

Pc atari's debugger would help me find the right addresses also, right? Because I wouldn't have to reassemble the code every time I wanted to test it. I've hacked Nes games before using FceUltra's debugger, so hacking an atari game shouldn't be too much different.

    Cheetah Codes

Thanks. Just so I don't have to ask for more codes, what program did you use to find the appropriate addresses?
  13. I don't think that they would put circus atari on both their atari joystick unit and the paddle unit.

    Cheetah Codes

I recently oreder a supercharger and I was planning on applying the cheetah codes to many of the games that I want to play on it. After I mod it, that is. I don't want to hack the games because I might or might not want cheats depending on how I feel etc. I would really just like infinite lives and time on pitfall.

    Cheetah Codes

Does anyone have codes for cheetah? Besides the ones that are on Bob Colbert's site. Thanks, Tsukasa
  16. Rob, Oh, I see what you're saying. The driving controller acts like a thumbwheel on a mouse. You could use a BCD switch as a substitute if you wired it properly. Jeepnut24, I was thinking of something along the lines of a DPDT relay that is energized when you plug the external paddle in. The relay would swap the internal pot and button with the external ones. I would suggest that you stick with the standard paddle pinout so that you could use regular paddles as the external instead of having to make a custom one.

I'm just curious, what software did you use to make this Also, I really think that you guys should do one of Pitfall 2. You could have a suped up version of the pitfall 2 music playing in the background. There could be a part where Harry jumps over one of the holes and the camera could be on the ladder looking up into the forest. I support you guys all the way and am more than willing to help. :D
  18. I have considered making a super controller as well. You really don't need switching at all Because the paddles use their own control analog control lines and use the left and right directions for buttons. The same goes for the driving controller, it's knob alternates the up and down directions on a normal joystick, plug one in and use a Testcart and you'll see what I mean. The only problem is if you wanted to use it with Warlords or another simultaneous multiplayer paddle game you would have to create a sort of master-slave unit with a sensing socket that would use the built-in paddle if nothing is connected. Both paddles on the same controller would be killer for Marble Craze though.
  19. Actually the booster grip's buttons are independent from the regular button. The regular button grounds pin 6, while the booster grip buttons tie the two paddle inputs to +5V. Therefore, if you wanted to write a game that uses 3 independent buttons, you could.
  20. Frogger Pitfall 2 Cosmic Ark Gyruss Q*bert Warlords Secret Quest Kaboom Pengo All of these are Atari Gold.

Awesome!!! Nice work guys!!! You guys should make some more of these, based on other games! I would really like to see one of Pitfall or Yar's Revenge.
  22. I had a similar problem that turned out to be a bad TIA chip. Are all of the colors visible? If you put in a combat cart, is the right hand player visible or does he blend in with the background? If he blends in, it is almost certainly a bad TIA chip.
