Here's your genesis schematics. http://cgfm2.emuviews.com/gen.php

Google is my friend.....
-
Ughh.......(Shudders) I'm gonna be sick.....
-
Does the book have the schematics of the odyssey in it? I bugged David Winter about it(he runs Pong-Story.com), He said he has the schematics and would put them up on his site last september. I have yet to hear from him since.
-
Were there any game systems that used an 8088?
-
Here's the schematics for the Snes. snes_schematics.zip

I'm 16 and not only am I interested in atari, but also any other old electronics. I started with an nes emulator, and now I have an sms, 2600, c64, and others.

Here's the nes schematics if you need them. nesschema.zip

Sorry, I thought he had a light-sixer... The method I used worked on my sears light-sixer.

Holy shit!! I hate being low level......

I removed the dust flap from mine so I could play my eprom carts. I just removed the cover and the heavy metal shielding, on the bottom of the board there are 2 little holes that you can stick a screwdriver through at an angle to unscrew the 2 screws that hold the dust flap and shroud on.

I've got the manual for Atari: 80-games-in-1. It sucks......
-
I think it would be cool to set up an Atariage linkshell, anyone else on the fairy server?
-
Awww. I can't afford an Fpga programmer... I'll have to design my own flash cart.... You raised my hopes and destroyed them quite thuroughly. Good job.
-
That's awesome! Finally, a flash cart I can afford! What all comes with it? Are you going to sell it as a kit or completed? If I give you $25 do I get everything?

I can get free samples of PICs from microchip, I already have a lot of them anyways. My programmer suports them, and it's much cheaper than buying a pal programmer, which is the main reason that I want to learn to program them. I plan to use them as substitutes for the bankswitching logic in atari carts. That way I can implement multiple kinds of bankswitching on a single multicart with the flip of a switch! I've seen plenty of projects that use them, and built a few as well.
-
Just had another one.... How about a way to use serial eeproms in atari carts? Something like a microcontroller that comunicates with the serial eeprom(i2c perhaps?) and reads the data out serially into a shift register, which then converts the data from serial to parallel, and programs a static ram chip with the data. The Sram would then be accessed by the atari as if it were a regular cartridge.
-
How about a way to write to eeproms/nvsram in bankswitched atari carts through the edge connector on the cart? Maybe with a switch on the cart to toggle between read/write mode. It would be interfaced through an extra drive bay on a computer. I still can't figure out how to do it without interfering with the bankswitch circuitry.....

I'm interested in learning to program the PIC microcontrollers. I'm not sure where to start. I want to learn pic assembly. Are there any guides available?
-
Are there any schematics available for a free pld programmer? I want to be able to program the Atmel atf16v8 and atf20v8.
-
What about Taz? That game gets so damn fast....

Pal stands for "Phase Alternating Line", and is the european video standard which runs at 50hz, whilst NTSC stands for "National Television Standards Commitee" and is the american video standard at 60hz. They aren't interchangeable in most cases. But, that's not important right now. If a game is PAL, there will be a small, letter "P" on the label. Also, when I tried to do a video mod to my 2600, the same thing happened to me.
-
I told him it was going to be around $300 and it made him change his mind. The only reason he wanted to build one was to save a bit of money.
-
The thing is, I'm building it with my dad, and he want's to build it from scratch.
