So far most of the dumper related issues have been on the 2600 side (can't support most multi-carts yet, can't support melody board based games, can't support DPC+ bankswitching) but (at least with a firmware upgrade) it works with games like Double Dragon 7800, all the aforementioned 7800 homebrews, baby pacman, etc. The main limitation will be that it must run on the prosystem emulator, and I know that's not always the preferred 7800 emulator these days. I just use the 2600+ for my new cart collection of mixed 2600 and 7800 games, have no compatibility issues with any other 7800 game, and as bubble bobble is one of my favorite all time arcade games, I would love to have a cart for it that i can use in the same way. Perhaps there's a licensing issue to making carts with properties that are still owned by others; not sure. I'll play it on rom no matter what, but just would love to have a cart as well.

Correct. Also defeats the purpose, both of HDMI output and of having a clean device without a frankenstein cable/retrotink like setup. The greatest 7800 homebrews like Jr Pac Man, Space Invaders, and Scramble, all have cart releases. I would like one for Bubble Bobble if possible, that is all.

We really want to be able to play this on the 2600+. Dragonfly and 7800GD aren't widely available anymore or don't work on the 2600+, so getting a real cart release for it is really important. I can play this on a miyoo mini all day, but I'd much rather slot a real cart into the 2600+ and play, like with all the other great 7800 homebrews, and I'd pay a pretty penny for it.

I am gonna take a break from AtariAge. I came here and I had a great time. There were some amazing folks here, including people who sent me games (thank you so much), and I've had a great time. But there's also some real toxicity going on here, and I'll help reduce that by removing myself. See you guys around ! And what do you think happens to the trees that are cleared for cattle ranching ? Any guesses ? They're burned ? or they're used for the 40 percent purpose of what all timber is used for ? paper.... Look what do you want me to say ? I'm wrong ? There's no environmental impact of printing worthless pieces of paper old men can look at for 5 seconds and toss in a drawer ?

I played Mr Run and Jump with no real issues today. I saw a couple disappearing spikes... but it didn't hinder my gameplay of this game any. There were definately drawn at points at least and were flickering just prior to disappearing. I didn't run into any invisible objects I totally couldn't see over and over or anything. Now granted, I'm not that good at this game and I think I didn't make it to orange level, so there might be a point where it is bad. Some people have TV options turned on that exacerbate the issue. but this was raised here in the past so it probably is real. Hopefully fixed in the next 1.1 update.

I would LOVE to PAY developers TOP DOLLAR for their work. But when I come on here and advocate that the system I just bought from ATARI to get some support in order so I can even be in the market to BUY those games, instead of stealing roms like everyone else does, and I am told 1.) Go play roms 2.) "Go play on the original 2600, the 2600+ is a POS, second class hardware junk" even tho THEIR open source software that they're supposed to be maintaining is leveraged for that, That leaves a really bad taste in my mouth and it's just ugly honestly. It's totally unnecessary. I'm just a regular consumer of games. I'm a gamer. And I'm talked to like that. WTF. I CAME HERE TO GET HELP WITH AN ATARI BRANDED SYSTEM and even the people making the software aren't all pulling together to make it the best it can be. What is up with that ? That's not cool ! Keep doing what you're doing then, you won't get paid from me if you make games I can't play. Meanwhile I am buying carts that do work on the 2600+ of which there are a fair number of homebrews and almost all the original 7800 and 2600 games now. That's what I wanted in the first place, anyway. Just sad to see how people really are.
