I saw some early speculation on Reddit that the included power supply or HDMI cable was possibly the culprit. That was from a guy that had his replaced under warranty twice for the issue. I bought higher quality replacements as a precaution.

It's frustrating that I can't find anything official from Analogue on this.

I must be doing something wrong lol.

Trying to use my Super NT, hdmi out obviously, to a portta hdmi to component box.  Then component out from portta to the GBS-C AIO > VGA/BNC to BVM-D20F1U.  Can't get it to work lol. Works properly going from Super NT to Analgoue DAC to bvm.

Any suggestions?  Settings are working for Nintendo Switch to portta > portta to GBS > BVM via vga/bnc.

I got it all sorted.  I'm guessing the firmware was just too old.  Updated the GBS-C AIO firmware, and all is good now.

Ugh. Finally got around to using the DAC. It was so pretty opening the box lol. Anyways. Going from Super NT > DAC > Sony BVM-D20F1U via BNC Component with external sync connected. Using the HDMI cable from that I've been using with the SNT without issue. However, doing through the DAC I'm getting the NO SIGNAL blocky letters. I've tried it with five other HDMI cables and still the same issue. All cables work with the SNT to LCD. Any suggestions? I tried looking for a possible firmware update, but didn't find one.

I'll start by saying I actually don't have anything to complain about from analogue, other than the shipping being a bit high which honestly doesn't bother me that much.  I like their products, and I generally agree with the sentiment that the world without them would suck.  I exclusively use their products for playing nes, snes, gen at this point and have disconnected my original consoles for those libraries, a while ago.

I get the impression that they just have an extremely poor PR side of their company.  They tend to not answer questions and lack transparency, and just seem really not customer focused at all.  While people aren't necessarily entitled to either of those things, it frustrates them.

Their shipping cost issues have been a complaint since I think the nt mini... maybe just the super nt, I don't recall, but pretty much their entire customer base and many potential customers have commented on it being terrible.  They could easily attempt to find another shipping provider (or whatever it's called), or at least explain why that isn't possible.   They do neither as far as I know, so it basically seems to people like they just DGAF.

As far as the adapters, they were supposed to be released earlier, cheaper, sold individually.  None of that happened.

On top of that there weren't enough to go around. Hopefully another run is large enough to alleviate that, but I think most people are under the impression that it won't be.  A pre-order would have avoided this problem.

I mean I got my adapters, and I would have always ordered all of them anyway... but most people just seem to want the game gear one.  And the shipping again was pretty ridiculous, although I think the packaging was more than people were expecting in terms of size.

It's not really about being perfect I think, it's about people having issues and the perception being that they aren't really seeing much in the way of improvement.  I mean I know answering questions takes effort, but then... i guess posting endless gifs of games is just as good.

This pretty much hits nail on head very well.

$10, available separately, shortly after release was what they promised. I personally have no use for the Mark III / Card adapters, but the GG one for $10 seemed more than reasonable. And you cannot use SMS accessories which plug into the card slot. For that, you still need a modified Power Base Converter.

$50 bundle, excessive shipping (please Analogue, just throw it in a priority / readypost box for domestic shipping) and extremely limited release is what we got. I still have a sack of Game Gear games I picked up for cheap after I preordered the Mega SG, with nothing to play them on.

Analogue, will you drop the ball again with the Pocket? I consider Lynx and Game Gear adapters a quintessential companion to this device.

That $10 separately is going to run you $30-$40 after shipping is tallied up.  smh  When the shipping costs twice as much as the product.. well, you get the idea.

  8. My plan for tomorrow (well "today" Monday) is to get Kraut Buster in the cab and get some real-time offscreen footage.  /crosses fingers.  I might also get to put it on the Sony PVM if I get my HAS up and running (Alternative is to use the RetroElectronic system) and get some footage to compare with.
