Just the tape like in that picture.
-
The Switch Pro was messing me up soooo bad in Tetris99 because of that. I was able to fix it with 5 squares of Kapton tape on the PCB right under the pivot bump on the D-pad, so it's lifted up a bit higher. Now it rocks properly instead of being able to push all four directions at once, and diagonals aren't happening accidentally. It's still not quite as good as a NES or SNES controller, because there's not enough vertical clearance for the opposite side of the D-pad to see-saw up higher than the pivot, but it's much better than stock. Maybe it could be improved further by milling off some plastic somewhere to allow the pivot to be raised higher. 5 pieces of tape was the most I could raise it before it began to jam due to lack of vertical clearance.
D-pads seem to require pretty tight tolerances to work right, and are basically a lost art.
That's how I've fixed my 8bitdo controllers.

Does anyone know if Darksoft's AES cart uses flash memory or is it all RAM based? Im in the market for a AES flashcart and this is the only thing stopping me.
Here ya go:
The cartridge has the following features -
* Compatible with every existing NeoGeo game, homebrew or your own developed Neo-Geo software.
* Offers 3 simultaneous virtual slots.
* Each slot offers 768 Mbits of memory, enough to hold the largest officially released game.
* MicroSD slot to add new games or software at any time. Supports FAT32 with long file names.
* Runs unpatched original ROMS.
* Includes the coolest menu that we could think of, with several navigating modes and amazing tunes.
* Menu is flexible, many options can be changed by the user.
* Includes support for saving soft dipswitches for each game.
* Includes support for saving High Scores for each game.
* Switch Regions without the need for a bootleg BIOS.
* Easy call back of menu at any time during game play with a joystick+button combination.
* Easy slot change at any time during gameplay with a joystick+buttons combination.
* 8 layer state-of-the-art PCB with Altera Cyclone IV, DDR memory, Flash memory and ARM processor.
* Low power, high density design.
* Updateable firmware and menu by just adding new files into the microSD.
* DDR technology allows to load the largest game in less than 18 secs as compared to 4 minutes of flash technology.
* Only available with a plastic shell for proper protection and storage.
* Includes Replica shell and snaplock like an original Neo Geo Game, plus a PVC protection box
* Continuous support and improvements. Many more features coming soon.
* An outstanding track record of all of Darksoft's multi-game products!

I’ve heard about the NeoSD cart! How much are they and does one exist for the MVS?
These are the NeoSD Pro, AES version. There will be a MVS release, just not set on a specific date yet.
-
If someone wants to loan me the $500 USD, I'd be happy to pre-order it lol.

I had an FS100 and now have a FV310 (27" for both of these). Love it, and use it for almost all my retro gaming. I use my PVM 20" for arcade and testing systems.
-
Wow, I love it!!! I really want it, but I'm very limited on the funds right now.

I'm going to get four of them, but I'll have to wait a little bit lol.

I'm still looking for a Karate Champ authentic cab, but I might actually get the A1up one as well. I spent a LOT of quarters in England, in the mid to late 80's, at the bowling alley on this thing! lol

MVS will be after the AES orders are down to a trickle.

Sounds great F34R Not only you got your numbered MVS, but you hostage too. Nice bro.

Anthony...
They've outdone themselves for sure. We went through a couple names for my hostage. Not sure if I'm allowed to say what it is now, but it's pretty revealing about me. It's awesome what they allowed.

The Xeno devs mentioned they keep seeing my hostage in the game lol. Also, I already know what my serial number is for my MVS cart.

Yikes! that is high. Have you tried neighboring states like North Carolina and Georgia to see what they have F34R?
Anthony..
Yep.

Have you tried anything on Craigslist F34R? Usually they have quite a few MVS units where I live. Maybe you have luck on your section in South Carolina.

Anthony...
I've found a couple, but mostly over budget lol. $1600+ mostly.
