I got one from Goodwill a few months back. Working perfectly.
-
I tried and tried. Didn't get one.

Thanks. Yeah, I've watched about all the videos there is so far lol. I don't know how much longer I can hold out lol.

So, I'm looking to buy a multi cart, and I've seen DarkSoft multi mvs and NeoSD Pro (that isn't out yet). I'm really in the air on what to get. Is the DarkSoft cart worth getting, or should I keep waiting on the NeoSD Pro?

Lol, yeah, it's been a chore, but mostly ok with my "cheat sheets" lol. Just as an update for Kev... When playing on the NT Mini solo (no everdrive), in practice mode, the game seemingly plays itself. Without even putting anything down, population just skyrockets, and all kinds of notices pop up for progress achievements, and such. Playing from the Everdrive N8, it doesn't do that. I can do a capture on the differences if needed.

I have no doubt he'll address it when he can. No rush or anything. Until then, I'll make the most out of it. The cart from Japan was 28 bucks. The eeproms were $1.50 each. I was already buying the programmer anyways, so that isn't really an added cost. I already have all the soldering gear that I use for console repairs, other small projects. So, if all goes well, hopefully in the next week or so, I'll have everything and can get some work done hehe.

Thanks for the help. I'll get on it. Much appreciated. Also, I'm at a point where I can play the Sim City game lol. So, just using the NT Mini, the graph charts, and the other screens I posted, or perfectly viewable. So I took snapshots of the graph pages, etc., and printed them out lol. With the N8 Everdrive, the actual gameplay itself is doable in the same way that the other parts the NT Mini shows correctly. So, I can play the building portion using the EDN8, and refer to the printed papers from the NT Mini portion that works correctly lol. Can't believe they never released this on the NES. I mean, I understand why, but still... it would have been a brilliant game for the times. last edit: lol I have an Uncharted Waters cart coming from Japan, and I'll perform some surgery on it lol. This will be played on my NT Mini dangit!!

Yes, I can see the games. They just don't load properly.

Ugh. So, apparently I've messed something up, somehow. I can't load anything with the 2600/7800 cores. Was working before, so I'm not sure where I went wrong here. This is with the NT Mini, latest j/b firmware.

Ugh, doesn't work on the NT Mini. edit: apparently it's me somehow. I'm not able to load anything on the 2600/7800 cores.

Just wanna say thank you for this thread. I've learned so much about Neo Geo from this alone. Thank you for the time and effort you put into this every day.

I bought the gear to get it done. Now the wait will be on the shipping times lol.

I wonder how this would work if I made myself a repro cart. Like this:

Thanks for addressing this. Much appreciated. That's a pretty grueling schedule for sure. When I was a cop, we had a really bad few months where we had to work 5x18hr days, then 2x12. So we worked the 7 days, but the hours were painful. The paychecks were what kept me sane lol.

Can't agree with the Everdrive having the best implementation. You can't do anything with Sim City, compared to the NT Mini running it. With the N8 ED, EVERYTHING is garbled. With the NT Mini, well, you can see my pictures above.

I play my NT Mini primarily on my Sony KV-27FV310 crt. I use the hdmi for streaming or capture. John Riggs burned it to a donor cart Uncharted Waters, and it plays fine. Info from an emu shows Mapper 5.

Fragmentation? Try formatting the card, then transfer back only the NES core and roms.

It looks like a mess on the NT Mini. Not sure why. It doesn't run well on the N8 Everdrive with the latest v1.6 firmware. I can't even run the v2.0 firmware, so I can't test that. This is on the NT Mini: Edit: Got the v.20 rc7 (latest release for the N8ED. It's worse than the NT Mini itself lol)

I'll get a new SDxSNES if there is a appreciable improvement to what I can do with the SD2SNES now. I don't need anything that the NT Mini can do though. So, if it's better than the NT Mini + SD2SNES, I'll consider it.

I've never used save states for a game that doesn't have it already.

I just changed mine to have my first initial, last name, then forum name in quotes under that. Talked with them on twitter about it as well. These guys are super active with the community.

Anything within reason. I used my "F34R".
