  1. Without U1MB it can load only extremally simple ATRs - in practice, almost nothing. You need U1MB to unleash its full potential (which is then greater than the one of AVG). But without U1MB AVG is better here.
  2. Maybe a kind of xbios feature? I have completly no idea, though.
  3. No socket is not a problem, I can desolder GAL and install a socket. But I'd need to have a proper GAL code, which I don't have. That's a problem.
  4. Ok, so it's a bit different banking scheme and therefore it's not possible te reuse the same hardware without changes in control logic. I'll just keep using the universal carts I have.
  5. I'm playing a bit with Diamond GOS using AVG cart but I'm thinking about a dedicated card. I have a stand-alone updatable SDX cart. Can I just flush it with Diamond and it will work? Or shall I do something special (I've never tried it yet)? Or is it not possible at all? Thanks!
  6. Plenty enough - if everything is OK with the computer. Maybe it could use a recap? I use a 3A PSU as well produced by Lotharek, my machine has 320KB of RAM, stereo, a built-in 3.5" floppy drive (yes, really) and Karin Mini floppy drive controller and AVG cart connected. It has completly no problem with additional powering of FujiNet. So, I bet, that 130XE is simply faulty. Or the PSU is only 3A on the paper, while actually it cannot deliver that much.
  7. A pass-through external version of U1MB with Side3 is on its way.
  8. I think, its the matter of pins - look at the FN and on its pins, maybe they are too short. Mine are, therefore the grip is not too reliable. Yet, seems to work.
  9. That's right, you're doing it wrong 😁 Press Option and when FN starts to mount files, press Start additionally and hold both until the machine reboots and you can hear a sound. Then press space and the second FujiNet button (activity led should come up) and after a while you should hear the block loading sound (no pilot sound though).
  10. Works for me. How do you load the games? Can you point me to an exemplary one?
  11. When do you plan to release that driver? That would be absolutely awesome if it had R/W support.
  12. Hello all. I hope, this is the right place to ask about the problem I have. I'm in a process of flashing ESP32 for my FujiNet. I'm using Linux, so I downloaded the FujiNet-Flasher and I'm trying to use it. Unfortunatelly, it fails with the following log: Using '/dev/ttyUSB0' as serial port. I tried the Windows version on my wife's computer but it ended up with exactly the same mistake (I installed all the necessary drivers, otherwise I would not be able to see the ESP32 module). Any hints?
  13. Can you post a notification here? Thanks!
  14. As years pass, better and better materials are available. Maybe it would be worth to retry with currently available materials? I know almost nothing about 3D printing so I may be wrong. But... :-)
  15. It's been years since this project was presented but... Are there any these still available? I'd like to buy at least one since the printer I bought has none at the time.
  16. I already did it and can share it too
  17. I just have a thought... Maybe what I get is normal? Maybe it should be this way? Is anyone willing to check? I can share "Monty Python and Holy Grail" if anyone's interrested :-)
  18. And what WAV file format do you use? The movie I'm playing with gives me 32-bit float stereo. Should I better change it to something else?
  19. I'm trying to convert my beloved movie, which is Bladerunner. I tried to do something like this: 1. Use Audacity to normalize the sound to 0.0dB. Normalization of so long soundtrack is not always the best idea since there may be one or two places in the whole movie with loud sound, while others may be pretty low. 2. Additionality, increase volue by 8dB. Of course, it caused a lot of clippings - I just wanted to make it loud. sox somplained then about volume a lot: sox WARN wav: wave header missing extended part of fmt chunk sox WARN rate: rate clipped 13524 samples; decrease volume? sox WARN dither: dither clipped 17500 samples; decrease volume? sox WARN sox: `Bladerunner-pal.wav' input clipped 229735 samples Anyway, it's still pretty quiet. If I stream it to YouTube (capture with a simple USB grabber), YT can amplify the sound and make it at normal level. Yet, I would like Atari to play it a bit louder. But maybe it should be this way?
  20. I'll try this way with Audacity. Trying is kind of a problem when you want to convert a 2 hour film.
  21. Thanks @a8isa1 and @SenorRossie. It seems to work (I wrote a much simpler script) for a PAL system. But the sound is very quiet. I wonder, how loud it should be to make it audiable.
