  1. I have for sale an Atari Lynx Howard Development kit. I've had this for many years now and I no longer have an Amiga so I have no way to test it. It worked the last time I used it and it has sat on the same shelf since. But its build like a freaking tank so its probably ok still. I do not have the Handy portion however.

Not really sure what these are worth these days. The serial number is 38

    This is now on ebay

  3. You can get the firmeware and some other useful information from Darkfadder

    http://www.darkfader.net/gp32/

A Jtag diagram and flasher that is easy to build and use from Cobbleware

    http://www.cobbleware.com/gp32/gp32jtag.html

Now the kicker is you will need to find an old Samsung cell phone usb data cable to hack off the port or you will need to solder the cable directly to the gp32 board

mobile phone connector / data cable (NOTE: charger-cables might not have enough pins to be useful!!!):

    - Samsung R200 / R210

    - NEC N21i

I cant seem to find the solder location information for the motherboard direct Jtag locations as its been about 3 years since I last used the information. Im sure its online still

  4. Most likely the system has become bricked. The Rom chip in these go bad easily. You can build a Jtag cable and reflash the rom as long as it has a charge it should boot with the reflash but once you reboot it will brick again. But this will tell you if it's the rom chip or not. Either way its a easy fix. I've done about 5 over the years for members on gp32x.com.

I no longer have a computer with a parallel port or I would offer assistant

  5. I have a complete in Box like New GP2X Wiz. I purchased this last year New and only played with it a few times, mostly PSX game. Once I got an Open Pandora I stopped using it and it has sat in its box since. Battery holds full charge and I even checked out the latest PSX emulator which plays most games at full or near full speed. There is also a wealth of classic console emu's for it as well listed below. Once great thing about the wiz is that it can be played outdoor in full sunlight.

My wiz overclocks to 799 still has the original Screen film from manufacture

  6. Its probably a voltage problem if I had to guess. Are you using an official Atari ac adapter or an original Sega Gen 1 ac? If you have one of those cheap adapters that are so prevalent on ebay these days it will cause issues such as that on some games and on a small number of Jaguars. I have 3 jaguars and one of them will do graphic issues when not used with an official AC form Atari or Sega on a couple games. Checkered Flag, Cybermorph etc

  7. I have 12 issues of ST Format magazine with the corresponding Cover Disk's for each issue. Most issues are in mint condition a couple do have small cover damage but all the inside pages are mint.

These are pretty heavy clocking in at 11.8 pounds. Asking $60 shipped domestically in the USA, sorry no international shipping do to weight

  8. Im posting this just in the sake of archiving for possible trouble shooting in the future. Hopefully it can be of help for someone down the road.

This is an easy fix requiring zero to basic skills. The help of a multimeter and soldering iron is optional.

I recently picked up a Jaguar unit that was having sound issue ( in this case extremely low sound). I later fixed 2 other units that had no sound with this same method.

The culprit in all my Jaguar units was the REG1 chip. its located down and to the left of the DSP. This chip regulates the Jaguar voltage to 5v for the sound system. In the case of the low sound system it was only putting out 1.3v and in the other jaguar units it was putting out 0v. This photo is after I completed the project.

    th_IMG_37831.jpg

    Test with a multimeter

You can check this on Pin1. If you do not know how to look at a chip and determine Pin1 its the one with the small notch on the top of the chip beside it. In this case its the bottom row left furthest pin. You can confirm if power is going into the chip set with Pin 8, this is the pin directly across from Pin 1. It should be 9v but depending on the accuracy of your multimeter it may be slightly higher or lower.

    Test with out a Multimeter

If you do not have a multimeter you can still check to see if this chip is the culprit. You need about 8 inches of wire cable. You can sacrifice a CAT5 cable or any other old cable for this. Strip off about 1/4 on each end of the wire.

Now you need to access a source of 5v on the Jaguar motherboard. The Jaguar AV Port offers just the source.

Behind the Jaguar Cartridge port locate (L7)

    th_IMG_37851.jpg

Take one end of your wire and touch it to L7 the silver part only and the other end to Pin1 on the REG1. You should now have sound. If not then your culprit could be more severe but less likely.

Now if your handy with soldering iron solder the wire in place at both contact points. Optional you can firmly tape the wire down at both locations with some electrical tape. Third option is to pick up some conductive wire glue and permanently glue the wires into place. Conductive wire glue runs about $5.

Below is a few photos of the finished project on one of my Jaguar's. FYI this does not hinder the AV port so if you use Composite or Svideo you are fine as they do not require the 5V lead.

    th_IMG_37861-1.jpg

I ran all 3 Jaguars for 36 hours to test. One was playing Fight For Life, One was playing Cybermorph and the other one was playing Rayman.

  11. I have two 1040 STF's both of them I picked up last year in a large lot. When turned on and plugged in they only put out a white image. Not sure if its a simple fix or not. Someone said they need a new TOS Rom but that was just a suggestion of an Atari Forum.

Asking $50 plus what ever it cost to ship.
