Dear ATARI:

 

I wish to procure a .ps/.pdf copy of any original documentation concerning

the 7800 cart validation algorithm. In the 7800 SOFTWARE GUIDE, it

briefly mentions this, but states "ENCRYPTION WILL BE COVERED IN

ANOTHER DOCUMENT".

 

What is this other document? Could anybody send me a copy of this?

Coudl any body also send me a copy of the original code for the

algorithm? Any other documents, or early gaming conference announcements about this feature, even prior to its incorporation,

would be useful. The earlier the date, the better. I am interested in

the history of cryptological authentication, and require early original

documents for study and citation.
