  1. Sorry for what happened to you. He lives near where I am from and I actually had similar experiences with him about 10 years ago when he was more active in the ATARI scene. He kept selling broken ATARI bits through ebay (and not telling that they were broken) and threatened people who complained about it. Met him personally once and think that he is a mean and dangerous person. Almost forgot about this asshole.... btw. he uses/d(?) the nick AtariGroup in some forums and you can find several cases of similar complaints about him
  2. It has been sitting in a box for too long, so I decided to sell it after all. My 4MB (!) Alpine card, ATARI Test Dept., (Scott Sanders?) has to go. I also want to part with my the the Dev-Jaguar and the Jaguar-CD. pictures Serious offers welcome.
  3. The SuperCharger was a beta systems AG product. I knew a guy who worked there and visited their "office/lab" in Frankfurt back in the 80's, shortly before they released their long announced product. http://vic20.de/html/atari_st.html
  4. I am sorry, I lost track of this posting. The ScatBox is gone. http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...:EOISSA:DE:1123
  5. Scatbox Deluxe unused, like new!
  6. I have to sell my DevJag, DevJagCD and 4MB Alpine. The Alpine is a 4MB version from ATARI's test department. (Scott Sanders?) check out the pictures: 1 2 3 4 4 6 7
  7. Yes, there are a couple of vertical lines missing. I don't know why. The black stripes below the logo are only visible when you crank up the contrast. They are not visible on the desktop. I wished I had another display.

  9. I will buy two cards for the TT, if the card supports the old expansions like the Nova or SuperNova. (The CT60 for the Falcon does NOT support them in CT60 mode). Has somebody talked to Rodolphe about this issue and his potential plans for the TT?
  10. Hi, I own a SuperNova (ATI MAch64 2MB) and a Crazy Dots (ET4000 1MB) card for my TT. The Nova is much faster and offers higher resolution. Its disadvantage is that the VME card is just the adapter and the ATI ends up being in a box behind the TT. Since I also own a PAM-VME network card and the TT has only one VME slot, I ususally only use the PAM. But I really love the Nova card and manged to get the source code for the drivers AND the GAL! Now we have everything necessary to be able to built our own combined network/graphic card. It might be possible to utilize the EtherNAT/CTLink design and construct a Nova-100Mbit VME-adapter card, based on the single-chip 91C111 ethernet controller. Even adding USB like on the EtherNAT might be possible. Unfortunately, my electronic skills are only those of a hobbyist. I never produced a pcb and I doubt that I am able to solder QFP for the prototype. This is why started a thread in a german forum discussing a potential project. I'd like to make absolutely clear that I am not saying that I will produce this card. There has been enough Vaporware for the ATARI. I am merely trying to explore the possibilities and getting the right people together to do the job. Any help is welcome. Joe
  11. sent you a PM....I am willing to help you

    ST BOOK display

Hi, Does anybody know a source for LCD panels for the ST Book?
  13. I want to say that this is very sad...but this doesn't quite express my feelings. It is another proof for me that we humans are doomed.
  14. Hi, just get it from Duraniks site: http://www.duranik.de/ Cheers, Joe
  15. .....maybe because it was designed by people who trink Bitter and eat lamb with mint sauce.
  16. Hi, This seems to be a TV system related problem. Australia uses PAL B, while UK uses PAL I. I have the same problem with Jags from GB since we use PAL B/G here. Soundoffset: PAL B +5,5 MHz PAL I +6,0 MHz (NICAM) A LF-connection will work.
  17. I seem to have a different version (manual date 93/11/15). On page 1-4 is only a short chapter on 'USING THE DEBUGGER'. No WDB mentioned.
  18. I use wdb, but I do not have 'proper' documentation. On the DevCD are only the docs for DB. Is there a wdb (or rdb) documenation available? I read the Q/A part about the pprot variable. Is there a chance to set the variable like with rdbjag in rdb.rc? Something like wdb.rc? Thanks, Joe
  19. works...thanks. But....how would I know about this switch? I did not find anything in the documentation.
  20. Hi, I finally installed the Dev-Kit for my Alpine, but I run into the following problem: When I try to upload something with aread (aread move.cof) I get the following error message: Error while sending fast ($3C8DA5E1!=$D296CAD4) (type=55AB) The second hex number is always different, but the type stays the same. The cmd read move.cof $802000 works fine. What is wrong? Cable?
  21. Hi Lars, as a fellow German, I know that the German media investigates Ebay closely. Maybe you should contact shows like AKTE or EXPLOSIV about the topic. I doubt that Ebay Germany can ignore this 'incident' easily given the media attention. Reading this guys feedback makes me sick. Ebay is not innocent! They do not care at all about good business. All they are interested in is transaction fees. And this guy creates a lot of transactions by ripping of people. I reported auctions where people sold copyrighted stuff. Ebay never reacted. Furthermore, they make it really hard to report stuff like this. AFAIK, there is something like a bureau of better business in the US. We (or at least our American members) should file complaints again Ebay/PayPal. Anyhow, hope somebody finds a way to 'take this guy out'.
  22. Hi, It works...... The cable was not the problem. It seems that the speed of the Computer was. After taking everything apart, even modding a second Jag , cutting the cable shorter and shorter (down to only about 40cm), I found a '-w' switch in the 'lo' program. If I use 'lo -8 -w 20 whatever.jag' it works fine.
  23. Well...it is shielded cable. Not each wire is shielded, but the entire cable is surrounded by a mesh. I also used a diecast backshell on one side. Maybe I need to make it even shorter????
