  1. Me too...although I used to use a Competition Pro
  2. Afraid I won't be able to make it to the chat tonight. I'm helping a friend move house. The chatroom will be open, as always. So have fun and I'll speak to you all soon.
  3. I am so chuffed I have just won an original copy of Kyan Pascal v2.02 Obviously not received it yet, as it has to arrive from Oregon and I only paid for it about 10 minutes ago. But, WOW!!!
  4. That's good, means I'm not talking to myself when I update the blog or projects Of course I will post the finance package on here. Or rather, I'll put a link to my site when it's ready for distribution. Not sure when that will be though, I seem to be working in stops and starts at the moment.
  5. Oh I've seen so many bad examples like that before. I often have to persuade clients that the colour scheme they think is really 'cool ' or 'far out' (yes, some people still use that expression) might be ok for them, but not the majority of people looking at the site.
  6. Thanks Cybernoid, that and your previous post should give me enough to write a format routine.
  7. WOW! Thanks. That's really cool. I had a quick look around your site, you have some great advice for people there. I shall return to it when I have time to read more. Sorry you're not too keen on the blue-on-blue, but it is an Atari 8Bit site
  8. Yeah, that's why I was hoping for an assembler routine. I know the basics of 6502, but have never actually coded anything in assembler.
  9. AAARRRGH!!! I've just had some bot try to post links for pharmaceuticals in my guestbook!!! 3 times!!!! grrrrrrrr!!! I've now added one of those awful text-in-picture thingys to prevent that happening again!!!
  10. Just asked this over in the programming forum, but I thought I would ask here as well: I am writing a project in Kyan Pascal, but I need the program to format a disc before storing data. I cannot find a way of doing this directly from pascal, so I was hoping someone out there might have an assembly listing of a format routine I could then embed in the pascal source. I am using an 800XL with a standard 1050 drive. The DOS that I will be using for the app is DOS2.5 Anyone?
  11. Forgot to mention, I am using an 800XL with a standard 1050 drive. The DOS that I will be using for the app is DOS2.5

  13. and something else, feel free to take any cover scans you might be missing. I shall be adding some more books soon, but I think you already have them.
  14. Gury, This is totally off topic, but I just noticed another book you might want to add to the list on your site 6502 Machine Code For Humans
  15. Looking really nice Gury. I like the option to overlay the sprites to see what they would look like as a single multi-coloured sprite. And you have a host of output options!!! I really must get my finger out and sort the pascal option for you.
  16. I would like to have manual, thanks. As for making an .atr ,I don't know if it can be done. You would have to ask Steve (classics) Better late than never. For those who wanted a manual for the Pro image of Cut & Paste, here it is: Cut & Paste Manual
  17. I have the sources from Larry, but I haven't had a chance to look at them properly yet. Been very busy with some work and getting other stuff organised here. I will try to look this week.
  18. Thanks, that's not a bad idea. I think I'll do that to also highlight the page your on
  19. That's what we like to here...the next generation of Atarians are arriving
  20. If this systems are the 3 in your tagline: * Atari XL -- the new volksForth release is in the making. * Oric Atmos -- as soon I'm able to get an Atmos on eBay for a decent price, I'll do volksForth on the Atmos. But there is also a very good Forth 83 for the Atmos available. * Sinclair -- I have Z80 source for volksForth (CP/M). I have no experience onthat platform, so I don't know how much work it will be to port the CP/M code to the Sinclair. I have a NC140 (Amstrad) and I'm getting a Z88 (Cambridge Computer) soon, both have Z80, and I plan to port volksForth to them. If you're interested I would help you porting volksForth to the Sinclair. Having the same Forth System (volksForth) on all that Platforms (+ MS-DOS, CP/M, Atari ST, C64, C16, Plus4, Apple I, Apple II) you can do real cross-platform programming. Carsten volksForth on the Atmos would be great! I'm using White Lightning on the spectrum as it has the IDEAL subsystem for graphics manipulation, although it's main Forth engine seems to be compatible with fig-Forth. Atmos's on ebay usually go for about £20-£30 at the moment. Maybe a little cheaper if you don't care about packaging. I got my latest one for about £10, but it seems to have developed a fault with the modulator and also the tape IO.
  21. I got a load of games back in the day that I never finished. I've been revisiting some of them recently in an attempt to complete them. Might still take me another 20 years though!!
  22. Sorry about that Lynx. An enhancement I had made managed to dislodge the registration process. I have fixed it now. And, sorry for not getting back to you before, I was trying to get my son to sleep, and he DID NOT want to go to sleep.
  23. Gury, I got it running. Looks very good and extremely useful. When I have some time, I'll work out the best way to store the data for some other languages.
