Software update.
Changes:
- The maximum data transfer speed in developer mode has been doubled.
- The possibility to change the baud rate for RS232 has been added in the MENU.
- Contrast adjustment for the LCD display has been added in the MENU.
- Forced startup of the console without a game loaded has been added. To do this, turn off the cartridge, press and hold the ESC button and turn on the power.
- In the development mode, loading a new game does not require turning off the power, just press the ESC button.
- Minor cosmetic fixesTo update the cartridge, upload the dragon.bin file to the root directory of the SD card, insert the SD card and turn on the cartridge's power supply. The bootloader will start automatically, after it is finished, delete the dragon.bin file from the SD card.

No, it won't work like that, Dragonfly is not an XM replacement.

It would be great to be able to play XM games as they are created in the future.
I don't know if I understand you well. Dragonfly should correctly run games written for XM that use Pokey, YM2151 or 16kB RAM. I have kept the addressing compatible.

The photo is dark, but it renders colors reasonably well.

Today I sent a few pieces that I had prepared, now I'm waiting for PCBs that should be coming soon and I'm starting to assemble. Holidays and the New Year are coming, so by the end of December I will make a few pieces, but I will catch up only in January.
The case can generate the biggest delay, I am able to print about 10 copies a week, so I have been printing all the time for some time.In the list from the first thread, I mark the people to whom I sent the cartridge, after that you can follow the progress.

No, this power supply is 12V and it should be 9V. Remember that the console is powered by the same voltage. Of course, both Dragonfly and the console will turn on, but they will heat up much more.

Only when the cartridge is ready for shipment, will I send a message asking for the color of the housing, the selected cartridge configuration (even if someone mentioned it before), asking for the address and sending the payment details. I don't charge for something I don't physically have

Silly question : in order to play an original cartridge or 2600 cartridge on the console, do we need to replug the power supply, or can the Dragonfly act as power through, even if not plugged in the console ?
The question is not stupid at all;)
Maybe just load some game and then the cartridge will allow power to the console. But with the next software update I will do it easier, turning on the cartridge with the ESC button pressed will turn on the power for the console

Yes, even the Basic version alone is enough to run the vast majority of games.

Yes, you can insert your own Pokey chip and enable it in the Menu.

I will try to take photos in the near future.

Everyone will have this label, but if you don't like it, it's easy to peel off
@hizzy, any power supply with a voltage of 9V and a current of 1.5A or higher, and 5.5 / 2.1mm plugs will be good, as long as it is of good quality and will keep parameters.,

Yes, A7800 only.

Of course it works well as a single pokey, this is its main quest.
You could buy a Pokey Max from a distributor (Duddie "Retronics"), insert it into a Dragonfly or Commando original, and have it run as a single Pokey, but it wouldn't work as a Dual Pokey.
The Pokey Max that I have on offer I buy from Duddie and change the software to one that allows you to activate Dual Pokey and Covox. So we have these functions "for free".

Of course you can install your Pokey, just insert it into the cradle and activate it in the Menu.

No, I still don't have an edit button

Download the Manual from the first post, there is a plug drawing and description, that should dispel any doubts. You need a power supply with a suitable plug, the original one will not fit.
I will keep assembling the cartridges as long as I have enough strength and the elements will be available, I continued my previous project (AgaCart) for over a year.

There should be no problem, in Dragonfly you can turn off RAM, Pokey, YM and make a "bare" cartridge out of it.

I have opened a new thread with a pre-order list, please keep the current thread technical support.
I am adding two attachments, the first is the full user manual, the second is the FTDI drivers and the software for transferring files via the USB cable.-

"Dragonfly" my version of the Atari 7800 SD cartridge

They probably don't exist, but 7800basic can generate them.
