  1. EE is OK after the upgrade is complete, just AgaCart went to execute the program and did not find the game files. You have recorded the agacart.bin file as the only one on an SD card or with files that are not compatible with Lynx. The program version will not show, I have not programmed such a function. But you should experience faster uploads.
  2. Remember that this is not my project, I just moved it to 1088XEL.
  3. Redesigning from the electrical side is not a problem, but it must fit mechanically, and for this you need testing on the target equipment, I do not have Atari 800.
  4. @karri, both links you provided lead to SUZY, are you sure you ordered Hayato? @ - ^ CrossBow ^ -, I don't know if I understood correctly, but Lynx II with the 31/33 pins shorted will display "Insert Game".
  5. Software update, downloadable from the attachment. Changes in v4 version: - improved support for newer SD cards - double the speed of loading files - improved button operation - shortening the waiting time for programming after choosing a game Changes in v5 version: - increased number of supported files to 299, selecting a file above 199 extinguishes "1" and lights the upper segment at the position of hundreds of display. After this update you will need to re-program "speed dial" because the addresses in the memory will change. To update the software, you need to burn the agacart.bin file to the SD card (the card does not have to be empty). After turning on the console, the letter "P" will flash several times and go out, then turn off the console and delete the file from the SD card. If there is a problem with the update and there is no letter "P", use a different (older) SD card, or try another way - turn off the console and immediately turn it on again. AgaCart.zip
  6. @Sylver, you can mount Mikey from Lynx I to Lynx II, the console will start, the screen will display content but with a lot of interference in the form of thin stripes. Also the sound will be strongly distorted. Nothing will break, you can do it for testing. Hayato chips are also available at http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/custom-i.htm for $ 39, just be careful because they are badly described as "Lynx II Mikey C301719". @karri, can you provide a link to these chips?
  7. I have three modules ready and running, the fourth in plans. Returning to the subject of the adapter, if someone does not want to move the cartridge socket to the back of the housing, then it can be redesigned to keep the cartridge sockets in their original position, they would be just a little higher.
  8. It's time to present the first module using the adapter. This is a music card called YAMARI using the Yamaha YMF262 FM synthesis (AdLib / OPL3). The author of the original design is tOri, here is his website: http://raven1.magix.net/yamari/yamari.html and here is his post on the Polish forum: http://www.atari.org.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?id=13062 The card would be useless without software, the player wrote this card in mono, here is his page: http://mono.i-demo.pl and here is his post on the Polish forum: http://www.atari.org.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16504 To prove that the card is working, I present the video just recorded: And here the same sound ripped from 1088XEL: Yamari.ogg Full documentation, player and sample .rad files attached. Yamari.zip
  9. If you have an oscilloscope, you can quickly check the waveforms, suggest this: First check the waveforms on memory chips, if it will be "quiet" there, unfortunately Hayato is dead Of course you checked the power supply? What voltage do you have on the circuits?
  10. I updated the list. A few posts above I mentioned the countries to which it is possible to send, if anyone willing lives in the country listed there, please write me a message.
  11. Everything I present here can be placed wherever you want, maybe someone will like it To be honest I wasn't looking anywhere, I made the project for the elements I have. But you can use a simple socket https://www.ebay.pl/itm/5pc-Industrial-Card-Edge-Slot-Socket-Connector-15x2P-30P-2-54mm-0-1-3A-240-30/140888497123?hash=item20cd9bdbe3:g:yFwAAOSw24hclGXj and connect with wires to the adapter, or buy angled https://www.ebay.pl/itm/10x-Industrial-Card-Edge-Slot-Socket-Connector-31x2P-62P-2-54mm-0-1-Right-Angle/130970285291 and cut to width. Tomorrow I will try to present the first of the modules using this adapter.
  12. I present a cart-adapter that allows you to move the cartridge socket to the back of the housing (without ECI) and adds a new socket for the 1088XEL expansion modules. I will introduce them soon. The adapter splits signals from the 1088XEL cartridge socket into two paths: - the first goes to the socket on the back of the housing, has 33ohm resistors on all signals and is connected 1: 1 - the second goes to the expansion socket, has 33ohm resistors on DATA lines and buffers on the control lines A0-A7, R / W, CCTL, PHI2. The power supply for this socket is separated from the cartridge socket and is taken from the additional J22-J24 connectors on the 1088XEL board. I got the cartridge socket from Commodore CDTV, it's good quality and it's gold plated. I printed the mount on a 3D printer. Perhaps my solutions will be someone's inspiration or help in their own projects cart_adapter.zip
  13. @FiveJay, I added you to the list, but I also think something is wrong with the cartridge socket. Are the original cartridges working well? As of today, the following countries are served by the Polish carrier: Belgium, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Hungary.
  14. I launched the Wavebird interface for 1088XEL. For people who have never met this controller, I present a photo: The interface allows you to control the basic functions (right / left / up / down / fire) and additional functions (the rear buttons emulate the simultaneous pressing up / right and up / left, this is useful for example when jumping, there is also autofire). The interface also allows you to control some keyboard keys. For now, it supports Pause (space), Start (F5), Select (F6), Option (F7). The interface is loop-through, allowing the simultaneous connection of a simple joystick. In the attachment you will find documentation and additional photos. Do not ask for additional modules and cables visible in the pictures, I will write about it soon joy.zip
  15. I have updated the list, but unfortunately nothing has changed about shipments, we have to wait. If I can send, everyone will receive a private message.
  16. SUZY in Lynx I and Lynx II are the same, they differ only in the manufacturer, you can buy them here: http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/custom-i.htm In the photo in the first post you can see that the screen has a lot of bad pixels, but the content should be visible. If you bought a console from "video*game*source", unfortunately I don't have good news, all four consoles bought from them had a damaged Hayato and/or Suzy chips.
  17. @Zaspath, unfortunately I don't have the option to send it to the UK today, I will add you to the list and I will contact you when shipping is possible. @Hasan Coskun, you have done well inserting the cartridge several times into the console, AgaCart has a slightly different thickness and the contacts in the socket are arranged at a different angle.
  18. I have them all the time, I added you to the list. As of today it is possible to send to: Germany, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia, Czech Republic.
  19. Cartridges are available but, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus Poland has suspended shipments to all countries for now for a period of two weeks but it is not known what will happen next. I will inform you when everything is back to normal.
  20. It's a good news! The interface will be made as an internal module, so I can use the PS2-AUX connector, I have the v2.4 software loaded. I plan to expand my 1088XEL with other interfaces, I have PCBs designed for most of them, details soon.
  21. @mytek, thank you for the information. I have one more question, what is the PS2-AUX connector for? Can two keyboards be connected simultaneously? Maybe I'll explain what I want to do In my version 1088XEL I want to mount Gamecube Wavebird wireless controllers interfaces. One of them is also to support Start, Select and Option buttons, and I still want to use Space (Pause). The interface will be made on AVR, I can simulate the PS / 2 keyboard with it and send the Space code. Will it work?
  22. I have a question about TKII. Are pins 10, 11 and 12 of the PIC chip (START / SEL / OPT signals) in a high impedance state when the keyboard button is not pressed? Can I connect these signals safely to ground? I want to connect additional buttons to them.
  23. I would do it like this: he peeled off part of the sticker, cleaned the pad with a fiberglass brush (FIBERPEN) to the copper itself, then tinned. However, if the damage was too great, the only solution would be to remove the old pad and stick the new one.
  24. I have updated the list, I will send messages with information soon. I received all the necessary components and resumed production.
  25. Yes, both messages have arrived. @ Ben M, tomorrow I will look carefully at the pictures and find out what is missing. I'm going to work a night shift soon.
