  1. If you look at his other auctions, you'll notice there is furniture and other large items.  He probably got confused and thought you were asking about one of those items -- which he probably won't ship.

Oh yeah, I didn't see those, your probably right.

  2. But, did you see his QA? He answered someones question about shipping like this:

Hi, Jennifer the shipping charge should read: email for payment and shipping instructions. Buyer pays for shipping.

That leads me to believe they will ship. The low report from the shipping calculater is very misleading too.

I'm just glad I asked before I bid.

  3. I saw this this Auction and was interested. I checked the shipping and it seemed very low for Priority mail. So I emailed the seller and he sends this:

Sorry, we are not shipping. It has to be picked up in Baltimore. We are near the old Memorial Stadium, between Lake Montebello, and Clifton golf course.

Now, I was confused because his auction says this:

Items are sold as-is and buyer to pay actual shipping (determined at auction end). Please email with any questions.

    What is up with that?

  4. Well, this person seems to sell on ebay also, so he/she should know if you return an item shipping costs are not part of the refund. So, if this person returns the item, they will end up paying as much, if not more, than what they paid for the CD's. Even if they were copied, they still end up paying just about the same for them. Doesn't make sense why they would even want to return an item they paid so little for. :?

This person also has 100% feedback, so I would find it hard to believe he/she would neg you for this, but who knows. :ponder:

  5. You people complain here too much.

I don't think a post saying "Hey, you might want to block this moron, and here's why" is complaining too much. It's doing all of us a service.

Why do people get so touchy about what gets posted in the Ebay Auctions section here?

I agree. I read everything people post in this forum since I do not always have the time to reasearch, email, etc.

    Thanks for the info.

  6. Change the memory settings, select a lot of memory....

I have it set to XL/XE and 1088KB RAM. The intro screen comes up and starts playing some sounds then crashes. :?

Did you try running in PAL mode?

    Stupid me. :dunce:

    Thanks, now it works.

  7. YES!!!

I want it Next Day Air

    ...for $25.00!

    That's Cheap! ;)

Here is what it would cost me:

    UPS Ground: $14.03

US Postal Service Priority Mail®: $8.85

    UPS Next Day Air®: $35.66

Oh, and I forgot to add the $50 BIN.

  8. Just burn it! That is what we do around here. My neighbors and I own about 100 acres combined and we burn all kinds of crap--computers and televisions included. We just throw all our junk peeps won't take from the trash into a huge burn pile and torch it.

  9. I went to see an old technician friend I hadn't seen in years.

As usual, he was pack ratting everything in sight. There in his basement

was an amazingly large collection of Atari games. Not thinking much of it

I did bother to mention seeing the collection to one of my nephews who called last night from out of town, while trying to make casual conversation. He stated that there are a few people in this world that are looking for games. I am the type of person that hates to see things not get used. I can't stand them just laying around. So, here I am. My friend cares little about the collection. It is mine for the taking if I like.

This story sounds familiar to me. :?

Someone else had a similar story posted a while back just like this one.

Where did you post the pics of them? I never saw it. If you won't post the pics, then I doubt you actually have what you say.

  10. It definetally smells fishy. My wife has known me for 20 years and still cannot tell you anything about my Atari collection. This person looks very knowledgeable with both ebay and all of those computer systems. I find it hard to believe that this "wife" knows this much about all of those systems her "husband" supposedly collected.

Looks like five finger discout items to me.

  11. I just updated my machine to SP2, I'm running Windows XP Pro, now the errors are gone. Go figure.

But I'm still getting upgrade errors when I use Turbo Lister. Anyone know how to fix this?
