Think he will make a profit on shipping? Some sellers are just rediculous with their shipping charges.
-
Why is the shipping so high for those items? 8 and 9 bucks?
-
Ok, I checked the xasm files and they are the same. I then created a bug in your program and compiled it with the xasm in your zip and I still get no errors. Do I need a command line switch or something to display errors?
-
I'm having a little trouble getting xasm to work. If I try to compile code that has no syntax errors, everything works fine and I get the object file. But, if I compile code with wrong syntax, it just returns to the prompt with no error messages. I keep typing the wrong syntax because I am used to PC assembler and xasm just dies with no errors. It's a real pain not knowing what the errors are. Any ideas? I'm using xasm v2.5.2 Thanks.

How did you figure out how to build those cabinets--atari and mame? Do you have any plans?
-
Do you have any N64 hookups that go from the box to the TV? I cannot find one.

Well, the seller is not shilling because the seller is me. I just saw 4 zero feedback bidders bidding and started to get nervous. Thought maybe someone was trying to make it look like I'm shilling to keep the price down. I just emailed all four for verification. Thanks for your thoughts.

Ok, I did buy from him then. I got an SIO2PC board and a cable. Very good service from him too.

I've purchased from both of these. Best was the "best", they respond very fast and answered all of my questions. I've bought alot from them with no problems. Whoever runs myatari is fine also. It just takes a while for him to get back to you. But I've bought from them with no poblems either. Except once they mixed me up with someone else and was mad at me for no reason--but it was all straightened out. I would buy again from both of these. The third one you listed I've never dealt with. That is the only reason I have no comment on them.

What does it mean when you start seeing only zero feedback bidders bidding on an item? And most of them are new to ebay? Just curious on your thoughts.
-
That sounds cool. I'm curious if that would actually work. If it does work, the only drawback would be losing the Atari feel.

I just found this site a few months ago and love it. It is one of the best resources for vintage gamers and collectors--and very active too. I buy so much vintage computer stuff that it drives my wife crazy. When she asked me why I do this, I told her "because I can!" When this stuff was hot I was just a kid and could not afford a fraction of what I now have. So I just buy whatever I find interesting to see what it is like, especially the items I wanted as a kid and could never get. Anyway, its fun too!

I don't usually post about auctions but this one takes the cake. Read this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8124615238&rd=1 So far, this bidder will pay $8 for a Basic cart!?!? And the seller claims it is rare, but this line just cracks me up: "Can you imagine what it would be like just to own this and tell your friends about this awesome deal that you got? What a great way to pick up chicks!!!" I'm tempted to contact that bidder and offer him one of my 25 basic carts for free.

What's wrong with the wordage? Sounds fine to me.

I tell my wife never to follow any link that asks for your user id and password, especially on ebay. They will never ask you to do that. I've received about 5 ebay scam emails this month alone each, asking in their own way, for my user id and password. NEVER DO IT unless you verify it by voice with them.

Would anyone be interested in free stuff - just pay postage

I need three (3) Atari 800 keyboards if you ever get any of those. -
I need that DIN plug! I can't seem to find one around here.
-
Are there any other rarity guides for non-atari systems like they have here?
-
Just so everyone knows, I did not mean for free, I will pay. lol. Just making sure that is clear. Thanks.

When I power it up the screen is almost white (kind of light blue) for a split second then just black the rest of the time. How do you detect the bad chip? What tool would I need?
-
Thanks for that suggestion. Didn't think of that. I still need to by the DIN cable.
-
Specifically, I need two working Atari 800 keyboards. If you have any lying around you do not need please let me know. Thanks.
-
Ahhhhh, the good old days when you had to get up from the couch to change the channel.

I came across an Atari 1050 that I wanted and it also came with a non-working 800XL. Didn't really want it, but it just came with it. I cleaned it up and powered it on, the red light comes on but the screen is just black. Any ideas on where I should start troubleshooting this heap? Any input will help. Thanks.
