  1. Bumping this since I played it last night and was wondering if there was any progress in making this a game vs. an awesome tech demo.
  2. What about an old mac LC with an Apple IIe compatibility card? You can play some old Mac games +old Apple II games. What I don't know is how well that compatibility card works with games for the Apple II and what the limitations are. I seem to remember there was a joystick port for it.
  3. I really wish I hadn't sold my collection 10 years ago. Battlesphere, Breakout 2K, Skyhammer, Pro Controller, and almost every CD game... stupid me. Maybe someone will find it at a garage sale someday. I think I sold it all for less than the cost of what Battlesphere goes for alone now.
  4. It's disappointing that they wouldn't they build a rudimentary way to update the firmware in this to fix issues like the Heist, etc., especially given the clear lack of willingness to do good QC testing on the final product. Of course, that also would allow for some excellent unsupported hacking opportunities, too.
  5. The bottom row of the trakball keypad could actually work well for launch from the L-C-R bases
  6. I always thought the 5200 trakball was one of the best of its kind and didn't really need that upgrade. I think it would be cool to upgrade its guts with arcade buttons and a real joystick, though. I seem to remember people doing that in years past.
  7. Couldn't asteroids be hacked to use the Trakball's two fire buttons as rotate left and right with the keypad serving as thrust, fire and hyperspace? Not ideal, but closer to workable. Alternatively, trakball could be limited to left, right rotation with thrust and fire on the orange buttons and hyperspace being any keypad (like Defender).
  8. If he wrote that memo in November and expected to deliver in January, there surely must have been some game code that was well along in progress prior to the project being scrapped. Seems like an A-list top-tier title would have come out on the most advanced console of the time FIRST in an effort to boost adoption. (like Xbox 1, PS4, etc.), but it was a different era....

    Stargate

There's hope: (from AtariProtos) It has said this for a long time, so maybe there isn't hope, but I'd like to think there is.
  10. Got mine. Unfortunately, mine has the same issues with Space Invaders and Moon Cresta. Haven't thoroughly tested the other games yet, but Pac-Man Collection is fun and Scramble works as far as I can tell. Space Invaders looks so great, so it's a bit of a bummer (about equal to my disappointment with the Xevious problems on the 30th card). Oh, well... thanks for trying guys. Innovation on old hardware is tough. It will still be played and enjoyed!
  11. Payment sent. Thanks to everyone, especially PMP, Trebor, CPUWiz.
  12. Finally had time to play mine. So far, Xevious doesn't work at all and Choplifter has some weird graphic glitches. Everything else seems fine. Cool product. Wish there was an easier fix for the bugs.
  13. A1 7B 5050329 I believe it has the interface. There is an opening on the side and six contacts toward the top side of the hole. Is that not the entire interface?
  14. Finally looked: 0516944 SV-502 (4 port) Is there a magic decoder for these things?
  15. I guess I'd prefer a 2-in-1 with this one. Cool games, but probably wouldn't want to buy them individually.
  16. Put me down for this one, too. Thanks.
  17. Tried Atari Blast. Wow. The visuals were amazing. Excited to see how this pans out. Any thoughts of doing a "bomb" or other button function? I also like the style of the transition between levels. Great work.
  18. Thank you. This and all of these other amazing conversions are making the SD Cart the best investment ever. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
  19. Thanks, I've already downloaded most of the newly posted stuff. Is anyone keeping an archive of the conversions in a central location? That would be a cool section of AA's 5200 area.
