What's up with the 5200 joysticks in that picture? Reved design that never made it?

Would be great if you could map a button or two to frequently used keypad buttons for games like Defender.

Found Dreamcast with 2 controllers, one fishing controller, one memory card but no power or AV hookups, so can't be sure it works. Worth it?

I'd be interested in option 2. In fact, this is such a niche product, it seems like option No. 1 would not be very appealing to most people. I think most of us will prefer the full deal for $30-$40 more.

Yes, I wrote the trak-ball support for Tempest so it does support it. Forgive me if this was discussed elsewhere, but Is there a way to fashion a 360-degree rotary controller from a stock 5200 stick -- similar to the paddle conversion? I know the analog stick/trakball won't be bad, but a rotary controller would be pretty great too.

Hi all. If you ever want to meet in Grand Rapids, we have a new bar called Stella's where they have a bunch of classic arcade games that would ideal. Tron, Tempest, Missile Command, Q*Bert, Robotron, Tetris, Track N Field, a couple of Multis, two pins. http://www.stellasgr.com

I can, but I won't. Cruel. So cruel. I'll mash around for a bit. I had forgotten about this until I read he was offering some individual carts again. Already own Castle Crisis, so no biggie if that was it.

Just pulled out my old Mean Hamster 5-in-1 cart that was supposed to have a demo of some kind hidden on it. Has anyone found a way to access it? If so, a little help, please?

Use the bottom button (assuming your using the stock 5200 controllers) Yes, but that's the same button you use to make regular shots. Does it shoot the bombs when you point it at Sinistar? Sorry to sound so moronic here. I'm sure I'll figure it out given a bit more time playing the game.

Are the versions the same as the Mean Hamster 5-in-1 from a few years back when the games were labeled: Blockade, Klix, Scary Mansion II 3-D and Super Attack Battle?
-
Got my copy today. Thanks for the quick service. This is not a game I played much in the arcades, so I'm a bit lost. Figured out how to gather up bombs and whatnot. Dumb question: How does one shoot sinibombs? Second fire button? Or do they just come out when you fire at Sinistar?

Has anyone come up with a Mac OS X client for the AtariMax USB?

Did you tell the emulator where the 5200 BIOSOS is? Allan OK, I got it to run. Now I just need to figure out how to play games with the keyboard. Very nice work. A bit for the casual user. Would be nice if it automatically recognized OS Roms and was preconfigured for CX-52 joystick emulation with the keyboard. Then again, maybe it is. I have some exploring to do. Keep up the great work.

I'm trying to use the 5200 portion of this. I downloaded the OS Rom from AA and then the Frogger .bin and then tried to run by selecting insert cartridge, but nothing happens. I've tried the available formats for 5200 carts.

The key to the Comp Pro for me is ensuring the 5200 controllers you have hooked to it are perfectly centered. Even a slight off-center 5200 stick will cause trouble.

Edit: I guess the Mean Hamster compilation was the 5 in 1. It seems that he sold very few of these based on this thread: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...mster&st=25 I really enjoyed mine, but my kids' are into the Wii these days, so the 5200 is back in the storage room.

I watched an ESPN2 documentary about the rise and fall of the New York Cosmos (http://onceinalifetime-movie.com/), a fleetingly popular professional soccer team owned by Warner Bros. back in the 70s and early 80s. Anyway, there's footage inside a plant where they're assembling Atari 5200s. The footage is brief, but the machines look unusual for some reason. Warner's problems with Atari get partial blame for its inability to continue absorbing the losses from the Cosmos, who were much loved by CEO Steve Ross. It's interesting footage I've never seen before so I thought I'd make a note of it. Wonder if the Atari Cosmos was to have had a soccer game to tie in with the NASL Cosmos. As for the NASL, I was more of a Detroit Express fan, but....

Got mine the other day. Great addition to the collection. I wish there were more single player options on Combat II... er whatever it's called. Am I missing something? Scary Mansion (HH-3D)... I don't get it. I haven't played 2600 HH in 20 years, maybe a refresher is in order. Nice job, though. Irata looks awesome. Hope you can finish it. Any more information on the plot or goals?

Any indication this one was ever started? I was reading an old comic book to my kids the other day and there was an ad that said "Coming soon for Atari 5200 and Intellivision"

My kids just got this as a B-day present and I gotta say this is hands down the worst excuse for Frogger I've seen in many years. I'm still baffled why they didn't do a straight EMU of the original. My guess is this is the NES are other 8-bit era version. The music totally off as are the graphics. While it's still fun in some ways, I'd much rather play the 2600, 5200 or Coleco versions -- at least they have some excuse for being less than perfect. I wonder if Sega or Majesco or anyone will release an improved version using an arcade emulator? Has anyone hear of such an effort?
