  1. (* Not showing the full photo out of respect *) @Flojomojo You forgot one Flo! Mull, we actually cellebrate on Sundays mate. Why you ask? The Taco Time Zone map courtesy of @Flojomojo some time ago.
  2. Mmmmmmm, I don't know Tommy Beefy. This bag fan looks pretty sweet! Hold on! A shot from the other side of the room reveals another one. TWO big fans? I'm impressed. Lastly, I know it's a little digression ... but here is what proper news looks like. CLICKTY-CLICK
  3. Cute. No idea! Anyway. Continuing my PAL 2600 cart hunting. Stoked to get this little bundle today. All the carts are mint, other than Cookie with some adhesive plaque, although it is unused still sealed in the bag with manual. Puts me at 223 unique carts. All smiles.
  4. Those shoes must be bloody uncomfortable Tom! ... at the Ataco IGG Jacuzzi, the usual suspects are once again affected by the bath salt fumes. I think ole' Brandon has been in all day! 🤨 And ....... just saying.
  5. ... and not a spring or gear in sight.
  6. ... and I don't want to see an animated gif of that whatsoever Nath! 🤮 A true test ..... Maybe they should ship Von Werner off to the Ashoebox production factory. That'll give them one big extra Tool on the floor!
  7. And if my AA peers are on the jury, I'm f#cked! I'll get at least 4 years hard dish-washing at the local Tacoria.
  8. Hah! I thought they were suitcases for the development teams trip to China. Wow. The Shreddit shils, like Colonel Werner, really need to learn how to cook tacos properly. All they're doing is making one big mess and leaving the innocent pigeons with no dinner and cleanup duties.
  9. Wow. Did't jump on the thread again for 24 hours ... and had to put on my slippers, set my alarm clock and make a full pot of coffee to catch up. Yeh. I smash JP fairly hard at times, on a jovial note mind you. Definately a harmless fanboy that deserves more than a shoebox that runs off a 12 volt battery. Well, that would be because of who and where they've produced this prototype ... .. and that at this years Atari Annual Meeting of Shareholders, just held on 30th Sept, it was pretty much a unanimous decision to do so! Damn. Sorry to hear Curt ... and thanks for the disgracefull story. What a f#cking douche! Hope that ticker is still going strong. Likewise my Vader ... .. and yes sir, it does ..... and it runs off mains! Jesus Shaggy, please don't set-off Brandon and John again you bastard!
  10. The moment when you realize a thread has broken reality... Put on your safety glasses and prepare for Mr Werner's head to explode when someone posts that link on reddit!
  11. Stoked to find these 2 PAL babies in the wild. Fathom more than Congo Bongo. Never seen them down here.
  12. The Atari Dude youtube clip reminded me of a legendary videotape cover ...
  13. Hah. Yeh. As you well know Ag, our BS meters are pretty accurate if we can see the person of interests face, even better the whole body, whilst they're talking bollocks. In relation to the Ataco saga, almost all of the data and talky-talky is coming to us via text, hence the aforementioned "meters" don't work anywhere near as well. Anyways .....
  14. Thanks for the links. The whole behavioral side in this debacle, has me genuinely interested. Being in law enforcement for over 20 years, definitely gives you insight into the human psyche and eventually you become somewhat of a backyard behaviorist persay. I'm au fait enough with the subject to understand the general reasoning of the pigeons behaviors with Ataco & the Shoebox, as do a lot of others here, as can be seen on the recent replies to my query to Tidus. Although I want to hear his opinion, the query was obviously going to get others to chime in. Good to hear other opinions, especially from people who know a hell of a lot more than me. It was also meant to show the numpties, like Werner and associates, that we are a lot more open here and think a lot more deeper than their reddit cultist shit show ... and not a bunch of whinging trolls. are they a little.... Chewie? 😉
  15. - Full version of Windows 10 x86/x64 or Linux x86/x64 distro vs a custom ARM based OS - Not an ARM CPU like a Raspberry Pi that has limited processing power - AMD graphics as vs limited graphical capabilities of an Arm based SoC For me this is the perfect retro gaming emulation device and is going to be a nice and flexible solution for playing all those old games on my TV Tidus, if I may make an observation and ask some questions? Just honestly shooting the shit, as I'm genuinely curious to hear from certain backers perspectives (such as your own). I'm obviously covering ground that has been flogged to death on our thread, but it's needed to answer my simple queries. Your stating you want the VCS for retro gaming and to be more powerfull that a Pi. Great. Do you own a laptop? If not, then my answer won't be as relevant as what I'm enquiring, however still could be. If you do, why don't you just HDMI plug your lappy into your TV, set it up with any OS you like, then set-up all your retro emulators to your hearts content. By a USB to DB9 adapater (as an adapter example. Not expensive) and use original controllers for an original feel. Or, buy a good quality retro styled bluetooth gamepad, like the awesome 8bitdo N30 or F30 pro's. More powerfull and a completely open ended (sandbox) set-up, without spending $300 on the VCS. If you don't have a laptop, again you can get some kickass little lappys for $300 and under, which again would be better than what Atari SA are stating, at this time. Oh, and upgradeable. I could maybe understand getting the "unconsole", if it was a console competing with the other big boys and had exclusives, including the other niceties and niches of the big consoles, but for a use to play retro games is just so confusing. Did you expect more from the Atacobox VCS, but have now resigned to the fact that it's not, so you'll just use it for retro fillanderings? With that in mind, surely you can understand why this thread is 850+ pages. If the VCS was real (after 2 years), running , showing huge potential, with exclusives and something different to other systems or at least on par or more ... this thread may still be 850+ pages, likely praising Freddy and the teams efforts, definately throwing around innocent memes and jabs at others and ourselves, people getting pulled into line (Dah. It is the interwebs ) definately throwing up debate, indepth chat on the company itself and its finances .. yadda yadda. What's your answer on why so many pigeons backers are defending Atari SA so vehemently, after all this time? Cheers.
  16. You got that in Beefy before another 20 troops were going to do, or at least think, the same. Gold.
  17. I'm sorry, but I can't help but say what has previously been said .... over and over and over and over again. I'm still compelled to randomly say ... "It's so f#cking sad!!" I mean, about an hour ago (@work), this 47 year old briefly acted like a 12 year old as I processed my ebay purchase of 9 mint 2600 carts for my playing pleasure, adding to my 210+ unique cart collection, that I still play and use to compete in the HSC. Old-era Atari 40- year old games for a 40+ year old system for a 40+ year old man with a huge smile on his 40 inch fat head. That's what Atari means to most of us AND why this thread is 800+ pages long. And to prove my point. I dare any of the troops NOT to either smile, chuckle, have a fond memory or otherwise when viewing whats below!
  18. Damn it. Been living at work. Only got that single game in. Some gr8 scores and rollages people. 👌
  19. Sound like Cookie Monster much .... I'll have to give it to ole' Brandon though. Never short of blind naive bombdiggety enthusiasm.
  20. Mine's more like a trackball. 🙂 Oops. Thought I was in the taco thread. Disregard. Now ..... ads you say?
  21. My Telegames PAL Night Stalker was also a pain to put into my Vader as well, from memory. Maybe a slightly thicker cart tongue, or more likely the tongue edge not tappered enough to push open the cart slot dust protector. I just turned the Vader upside down, which usually has the dust protector open up, because of wear to the dust mechanism after all these years. A bit of a gentle wriggle and it went in. FYI. Same fix for carts with broken dust protector activation legs. #EDIT# Actually. I'm wrong. I remember the carts dust protector activation legs were the exact same length as the cart tongue. The tongue should be recessed back further (like in other carts), to allow the activation legs to open the dust protector BEFORE the tongue enters the cart slot. That's why I turned the Vader upside down, eliminating the use of the activation legs.
