Pressure Cooker - Game 1 B/B
50,600
Played on: Original 'Vader' (Batari S-Video mod). PAL cart.
Busy again, so have 2 days to throw some scores down. What can I say. Awesome game. Haven't played it in ages. I find if I talk to myself, calling out the orders, I don't seem to get mixed up nowhere near as much. Missus heard me and was wondering who I was talking too. I said, "The burger king". (I know .. I know

+1. I use a s-video modded 2600 Vader and play/collect the carts, because my nostalgic self wants to. Simple. For all other systems, I use my Pi3 to play the other consoles. I still try and use an original controller via usb adapter where possible, again to feed by nostalgic side.
5 hours ago, Inky said:My problem with Retropie is the issue with configuring controllers per console. If I can get my Rpi3 working again (no idea why it won't boot currently,) I'm going to do three SD card setups. One for consoles with keypads (5200, Intellivision, Colecovision,) and use my CV controller on it, one for the 2600 / 7800, and an arcade card, just so I don't have to keep fiddling with the configurations.
Hijacking .. you can configure controller config per emulator core or even a single game (If that's what you mean that is) through the RGUI menu whilst in a game of your chosen emulator. (Select+X). Plenty of guides online and on youtube. EG. I use an original cx40 and usb adapter when playing 2600 games I don't have. The cx40 fire button was not mapped to the default Emulation Station controller configs. I went into a Atari 2600 game, then entered the RGUI menu via SELECT+X, then remapped my fire button to the correct one. This new mapping is now only relevant when I'm in the 2600 emulator core.

I know it's been said before ... but in case Mr Weiner's having a read ...
@Flojomojo 's comment is what this thread is about in a nutshell! Not aggressive trolling ..... Not whining (Unless your a pigeon, to which your fully entitled too imo. Mind you, I'd call it simply complaining.) .... just enthusiastic banter (with extra-gusto at times 😇), whilst enjoying a laugh amongst ourselves. Don't forget, this is the home of true Atari lovers. Without Albert and the crew, the legendary old Atari hardware & games would definitely not be getting as much attention, than if AA didn't exist. Fantastic homebrews (and the talented people behind said brews) for these old beasts would also be nowhere near as prevalent if AA was not around.
So when a true Atari fan see's the Atari name once again linked to a shit-show circus, what do you bloody expect. *gets off soapbox*.

Classic Atari. Although I almost went with Tigervision. Always liked the look and feel.

Some pics of items from the 2001 Classic Gaming Expo HERE shows a can of Yars Spray, with some text that says "A fine piece of Japanese kitsch. Yars Revenge Fly Spray!"
So you can at least trace it back to 2001.

To late me thinks Beefy. Darth Phelan turned to the dark side along time ago!

I was too lazy to do it myself at the time, so had a company down here in Oz restore my Vader and add the mods. Couple of topics in the forums on it though. Easy mod. Here's one.

It's like a pigeon playing chicken with a bus. Unwaivering and sure they'll win in the end. Although, naive enough to not think what will happen if the bus doesn't swerve in time.

Gorf - Game 1 B/B
7,600
Played on: Original 'Vader' (Batari S-Video mod). PAL cart (HES).
Season 9 begins
Crazy week, hence only just able to get a dozen or so games in this arvo. Seems to be a bit of bad love for this one. I like it tbh. Can't argue with mulitple levels. Timing is everything, which I like.
Should be able to put some more time in b4 the deadline. Have fun!

I think they're still busy taking chinese taco lessons. I have a feeling their Duck Tongue and Lychee Taco's may struggle to sell.
And yes. That is an actual Duck Tongue and Lychee Taco!
MEANWHILE ....

Unfortunately unable to get time to play this at home, on the Vader and original cart. Had a very kwik game at work (Stella on a thumb drive) just for participation points only. 😥
