I'm not sorry that you're a carnivore, that's your own choice and I'm happy that it's working out for you (because it didn't work out so well for me). I don't see any reason why you or anyone else need comment on my personal choices, as that's each person's own business. Unless you don't believe in free will and want to impose your lifestyle on me?
Hey Hey. Was a complete jovial comment NostA, in the spirit of this thread, and absolutely not a dig at your choice. Hence the angel smiley emoji. My daughter is a veg head and I give her the same friendly dig now and then.
IMO, if it's good enuff for us here to take the piss out of Atari SA, with quite some vigor mind you, I think it's fair (in this thread at least) for us to have some friendly harmless inter-member ribbing.
Obviously in this case, I was wrong. Apologies for ringing the wrong door bell.🖐️ Sorry for causing a derail mods 😇

For those interested, a short read on Atari's current debt outlook. CLICK HERE.
More writings from the Gospel of John. I think I'll say a prayer for him.
... make that many prayers. My god!!

Hmm. I was under the impression that if you add new roms to your collection and then plug the thumbdrive (containing all your roms and the new ones you just added) into the Pi, the Pi will only transfer over the new roms and not copy the entire collection again. But maybe I'm wrong.
I did find this query and comment. https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/59057/does-retropies-automatic-usb-rom-transfer-copy-overwrite-previously-copied-roms

8. What about Taco's?
Any mention of Taco's whatsoever will incur immediate disciplinary punishment, where in the employee will be required to sit through a 4 hour Atari SA CEO Fred Chesnais PowerPoint presentation.
First Aid facilities will be available at the presentation.

It won't overwrite if the filename is exactly the same. This is the default behavior, which makes sense in most cases. Samba shares is easy.

The lighter "teak" veneer is for The Pigeons (T for teak, T for um ... The)
Because it's what's on the outside that really counts, and making a case is half the battle. (even @Parrothead should be rolling his eyes by now)
Like a bad Sesame Street Letter of the Day.

If they can't see the serious discussion (from real devout Atari nuts) through the harmless piss-taking (including amongst ourselves mind you), no wonder they're still bowing at the Atacobox altar.

And talking about taking the piss out of our own brethren .....

Total smoke and mirrors clouded by Joystick/Controller concepts while wearing plastic gloves.
The plastic gloves thing made me laugh. HERE for reference. Are the workers, building the joysticks, worried about leaving their fingerprints behind, which in turn enables them to be identified when people start complaining about the joystick breaking at that tiny pivot point, in turn said builder taking the heat instead of the Team Chipboard Devs?

(Note: 3.1 million USD leeched from IGG.)
It appears to read that way Flo. "€7.4 million versus €4.9 million during the prior FY." Also, their listed Current Operating Income and Net Income also seems to hover around the same 3.1 million USD figure, + or - figure fiddling.
"Current Operating Income: €3.1 million, up 35.7%"
"Net Income: €2.7 million, up 20.6%"
4 hours ago, Flojomojo said:I read this to mean than "Atari" copyright troll activity contributed to close to 50% of their net income. That includes going after Target for foot pong, Kit Kat for using breakout in a commercial, and all the little guys with stickers and T-shirt designs.
What an appalling dump heap overflowing with the most disgraceful assortment of deplorable rubbish imaginable.
Yup. Shook my head at this narcissistic comment. I realize it's a matter of course that businesses may try and protect their IP in certain cases, but scraping the bottom of the garbage bin to garner any funds possible and making such self-serving comments, surely knowing their chest-beating to stakeholders would eventually be read by us, the gaming public, is idiocy.

Phoenix: I'm guessing circa '80-82', at the Bassendean West Road Deli/Lunch Bar, in Perth, Western Australia. Lived 2 blocks away and was directly opposite my Primary School.
Cocktail cabinet (aussie built cocktail cab). The owner would swap out boards every so often. I recall a few of the other boards, but they haven't been listed here yet, so won't mention them.

People are going to call it a console, because that’s just how things go, but we prefer to call it what it is, which is a Video Computer System, which is a computer system that works through a video interface. So it’s optimized for using with your TV in your living room and all that. So the way the machine works, well let’s quickly back up a little bit."

And whose fault is that? As highlighted by others here..... It's not a Pi, yet it is like a big Pi. It's not a console, yet it's look and ideal is like a console. It's not a Retro Box, yet it has
retro faux-wood-grain and all the gaming screenshots show 35 year old games. My god!
