Your "Quick Step" was distributed in Australia by HES, in a Blister Pack. HES was based in Sydney Australia. As @Rom Hunter quoted many moons ago, "HES got permission from Imagic and Activision to release their games down under." This cart is Common down here in OZ. http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-quick-step_15644.html Your "Ocean City" was distributed in Australia by Action Hi-Tech. It's the same as Zellers Ocean City Defender, which in turn is a hack release of the original 'Atlantis'. I find it not as common as the Quick Step, but it's still not that hard to find it in the wild in OZ. http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-ocean-city_8233.html As for the 'Ocean City' label. It's linked to the lazy "Skull Island" series of hack releases. They all used the same label. Atariboxed.com Database "Skull Island" series data. @Rom Hunter will no doubt chime in if any of this info is wrong. 👍

Touche. And to reflect the current Atacobox rigmarole, the cup has no bottom and holds nothing. It just looks like a cup.

FFS JP 🙄 Haunted House ... Flag Capture .... Sky Diver? For the thousandth time ...... WHY WAIT!? That mug is more likely a render. If you order one .. and it does exist .. your more likely to get .............. A nail. VCS doesn't exist ... yet .... maybe. Without fail ...

"Old French". Fitting. What the? Is this really JP making a clever-ish comment? Nevermind. Look's like BH has taken the slack for Team JP. Buy a Raspberry Pi instead of an Atari VCS. On a side note ... Atari Biopic to Undergo Tokenization through tZERO and Vision Tree Nice research there Mr Stoner. A biopic movie on Bushnell and the REAL Atari .... with a pic of the currently NOT-REAL Unconsole and Uncontrollers.

But for how long? This is why ....

Gold. . I'll have to remember that one. Oh P-Dubs. Always ready for a fight ............ well .......... maybe not! Team Atacobox raided their Kevlar stocks over at Chipboard HQ, to make some pigeon proof vests. Pigeon-Preppers if you will. Don't forget the last wave JB ...... Roger that. Be right over. I'll pack some Taco's.

Just .... Wow! I will give him one thing though. He's at least coming up with some original game names. He called his 'Arkanoid' rip-off ...... wait for it .................. 'Brick Zapper' ❓ I'm surprised he didn't call his identical clone Pacman ....... 'Yellow Pill That Sometimes Eats Ghosts' I thnk they've updated that page now Flo. More restless pigeons on the Atacobox Reddit ...

Looks like he's gone into hiding. Deleted his reddit stuff/comments and videos that I previously linked to above. 🙄 A couple of other misinformed people picking up the sad story. Google News

Come to think of it, there is one farming venture Farmer Cheesenais would likely make a tidy profit in.
-
Interesting analogy Pac. Now if we apply that to Atari ............... - Farm Bushnell sells the latest quality meat and produce, with stock flying out the door. - Farm Chesnais doesn't quite understand the concept of a profitable and efficient farm, selling lemonade and faux-woodgrain laminate sheets. No signs of real animals or farm produce anywhere.

I'm answering the question of "Death of Consoles" by watching how my 17 year old lad has gamed over the last 10 years. PC (playing BF2 as a 7-8 year old), then PS3. Mame on and off in between (as I was building Mame cabinets. So emulation via PC) .... Wii, then back to PC (FPS) .... PS4 and then his Own Gaming PC. Dabbles back in the PS3 .... and NOW .... back to PS4 in the last 2 months. All his mates have gone back to PS4, so he's followed. I asked why. He said just fed up with hackers, patch problems, normal gaming PC issues. The PS4 just felt like, turn on ... play with mates .. turn off. He actually was going to get a Switch for his 17th last week, but changed his mind at the last minute. Wants to wait for PS5 and it's backwards compatibility with the PS4. Make of that as you wish. In relation to the PS5. As it's now verified as PS4 backward compat .. the rumors of PS3 and PS2, and even PS1 backwards compat are rearing it's head. Such a console would cater for the current gen gamers and the older gen. A big plus for consoles still holding strong?

Multi-Game Machine - How do they Deal with Joysticks
Spriggy replied to Boba Debt's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Nope. Cabinet builders have been using 4/8 way switchable joysticks for years. I've always used the Sanwa JLW series on my past Mame arcade cab projects. They have an adjustable restrictor plate at the bottom of the assembly. Just reach under and turn the restrictor to change from 4 to 8 way. I've had a set in my 1st Bartop I made in 2005. Still going strong. Old project link .. if interested But, there is also power driven restrictor versions, magnet driver switchable joysticks, top switchable, blah-di-blah. As an example, I use to to go through Ultimarc BITD for my Mame stuff. I haven't dabbled in years though, so don't know what other options are available. Here's a link to the Ultimarc Joystick/Button store menu. .. HERE -
It's liking watching two Muppets in the Thunderdome, armed with toy squishy hammers. On a side-taco, is it just me, or are the Atari news and media announcements sounding more & more like they just cured Cancer? 🤔 Atari® Partners with Six Flags® to Add Branded Real-World Theme Park Attractions to RollerCoaster Tycoon® Touch™

+1. *message to self - Don't NOT check this thread for 3 days!* Feels like I just watched one of those roller-coaster ride movie thrillers! I laughed, I cried (laughing), I scratched my head in disbelief, tacos were thrown, there were twists & turns & someone died. Also ... I think I've found some useful AA merch Albert could throw-up on the store. Will sell like hot cakes .. or should I say hot tacos ... on both sides of the fence! 'The AtariAge Taco Tissue Box' It also looks like the Taco Police are about to pull over BH again, for Drinking & Typing. Don't know how he still has his typing license! 🙄

I checked out Chris Sawyer's website (designer and developer of the RCT franchise) and noticed he had an RCT "Phobia" track collection you can download. Well ...... How ironic! 😂 The RCT theme seems to mirror current day Atari SA's operations quite well, with the 'Tacophobia' track eminently replicating the current Atacobox product stage timeline. God speed to the backers who had the guts to get on this ride!

Welcome Refugee Mike. ALL ABOARD! My god their sales PR is so wacky. They say they're trying to be modern, for the current market and the current younger gaming generation (as opposed to us old original Atari farts), yet they use 1970s woodgrain to try and give the new unconsole, old Atari VCS street cred ...... which is only relatable to the aforementioned old farts they are not targeting ... and then have to explain the use of fauxgrain on the modern VCS to the younger gamer that they are trying to target ... who doesn't give a shit about fauxgrain. 🙄 While they're at it, maybe they should also explain to the young whippersnappers, who have been flooded with the shmicko current console graphics, why the original Atari 2600 library (they are heavily pushing with the Atacobox) looks so ... well ... 1970s .. and how awesome they were "back in the day". Oh don't worry. The current VCS backers have also "been met with an iron fist from the platform owners".

"I'll have a Atacobox Family Pack please. Ahhh ... extra Mythomania, extra Grandiose delusions .. minus Elucidation. Oh.. and a side of Confirmation Bias please." His spare costume, in case he follows through.
