So, on my website that pretty much is only about TI-99... visitors geo-ip locations are collected on this map:

I never noticed the URL below.

a derivative of one of the greatest platformers of all time! (the best version is on the Atari ST - in monochrome no less)
But I'll let someone else answer with the 4A title
Indeed it is. My dad and I spent HOURS on the C64 version.

Apologies if this has been covered a bazillion times in the forum, but I couldn't find anything readily after doing some perfunctory searching.
What are some links to resources for designing sprites/graphics for TI Extended Basic demos? I'm needing help specifically with defining the 'blocks' like if I used graph paper and the hex code required for CALL CHARs/etc.
I have the TI EB manual handy plus some other paper resources, but between that and deconstructing my dad's stuff I'm trying to figure out *how* he did it and *why*.
The ultimate goal would be to produce a music demo based on sheet music- I know the 'music' piece of it cold but I'm having a little trouble trying to combine that with the graphics.
Thanks in advance!

mmm.... poutine...
my wife has Canadian family in BC.

So far it appears Canada has the most TI people.
What is it about Canada that made the TIers migrate?

I've attached a cartridge listing that can be used to catalog a cart collection.

If anyone would like my Excel version PM me and I'll be happy to email (since I can't attach an Excel sheet to my post).

Has anyone ever completed Shamus??
I had only completed the 'black' levels, but that was ages and ages ago- and i had memorized the maps.

PeBo had shared this with me so if you are so inclined:

when i was dinking with the game here recently, i found it kind of difficult to use the TI joysticks to shoot diagonally (you can too, but it's super awkward).
This may be the month where I'm compelled to get an adapter and maybe a Slik Stick or an Epyx joystick, haha.
As an aside, I didn't play this game on the TI the first time around, our copy was on the C64- I absolutely LOVE the Synapse games.

Thanks for the video!
By the way, I don't remember any rule that the person who picks a game is not eligible to win it, that is, he can win two in a row, or more. So I guess you are the undisputed winner of this month!

(If I had to pick a game, I would have chosen Shamus now, but it's obviously your turn.)
From the peanut gallery.. I'm totally down with Shamus (since I happen to own the cart and love the game, haha)

I think TI'ers are smart enough to figure that out for themselves or make a judgement call on their own, after all they know where they live.
I dunno.. you might be giving me too much credit!

I'm currently smack dab in the middle.
North Central seemed to be the closest for Missouri. -
While I can't say that I have Weight Control, I do have one of the others.

I sent ya a PM.

I'm brand-new to microcomputers and a first time TI-99 owner, and this is super helpful. Thanks!
Welcome!

Using the off-topic thread to wish Canadian forum folk a Happy Canada Day (eh), American forum folk a Happy July 4th, and get a jump on our euro-french friends by wishing them une bonne fête nationale a couple weeks in advance (which I should have wished our québécois friends last week - although I was there wishing everyone the same in person.)
Sorry if I missed anyone, but if we all celebrated our national holidays on May 1st like most of the world, it would make it easier for my feeble geriatric brain to keep track! Or maybe not.
We're mostly making it a quiet weekend here in the Ozarks- the company I work for doesn't have the 3rd as a holiday and I didn't feel the need to burn a vacation day for it.

I'm doing steaks tonight, but the biggest plans we have are to go on our bi-weekly grocery shopping trip and do housecleaning. I also told my wife that I was going to start an Excel spreadsheet with my cartridge catalog- this will help me determine what carts i need to start looking for. mwhahaha

correct, sir! your turn.

Music software?
in TI-99/4A Computers
Posted
my scope is pretty darn limited, compared to probably what a lot of folks have done on the board- but the majority of my experience with music programs has been with TI Extended Basic. I am currently working on a music demo right now that I'm hoping to use sprites in (so I'm still learning this piece of it).
You can find a list of frequencies in the EB manual, and what i've done is assign variables to the frequencies based on the notes and then i use Call Sound statements with the variables (the notes taken from the sheet music).
One thing I had considered was making a subprogram of the note variables to eliminate entering them in over and over since when i am messing with the TI i tend to use the computer itself and not emulators, even though emulators would be a WAY faster way to develop and test your stuff. I also have code to calculate half-frequencies, where applicable.
I have Music Maker, and it reminds me of using the Mario Paint cart on the SNES.
