  1. that is super cool. thanks for the insights!
  2. one more- i have 43 of em, lol (but without TP)
  3. this is all really neat stuff! I've spent today looking at my dad's Extended Basic code, and it amazes me how compact the coding is for what it does. I learned some new commands too: Pre-scan controlPre-scan is used to allocate memory before the BASIC program starts. It causes a notable pause before the first statement executes, because the pre-scan process scans the whole program for variables and subprograms. Extended Basic allows for a quicker start-up by turning pre-scan off and on; these lines are specific comment lines. 100 GOTO 150 110 A=0 :: B$="" 120 DATA 1 150 [email protected] this is some cool stuff! plus looking at the way he coded subroutines and assigned variables for music notes, which i found was really similar to how i did it by pure dumb luck and reading the Extended Basic manual.
  4. i am younger than most, but i learned Pascal in high school and took it as part of my Computer Science associate degree- this has been a neat read. How does this flavor of Pascal compare with the Borland Pascal from the mid 90s?
  5. ugh, sorry for the multipost- my phone went berserk. I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of two of the posts.
  6. Mdude has some Plato disks for cheap :-) Like $13?

  9. ha! no kleenex around and hay fever.
  10. Oh man, the memories, lol. I remember dad being up laaate after work and him drawing out sprites/graphics on graph paper to make these. Some of them I believe he stole my coloring books for too
  11. I won't embarrass anyone, but I'm currently watching/listening to the music demos my dad made on the TI some 35+ years ago ON my TI! This means an unbelievable amount to me, personally. Thank you, everyone, for being such an awesome community that's willing to help folks out and that don't treat anyone like they're not as good as everyone else. I appreciate it, truly. Nathan
  12. Interesting! Thank you guys for the feedback (and patience).
  13. I scanned the boards a little but didn't quite find an answer- can the Flashback 64 be modded to accept 2600 carts? I apologize in advance if this topic has been beaten to death. Thanks! Nathan
  14. I just looked up a pic of the Video Controller- that's cool! Do you have a pic of the p-Code sidecar?
  15. it was a little of column a, little of column b. at first we had the whole long setup (synth, ram, disk controller, rs232, disk drive)- also with coupler modem and program recorder. shortly after that, though, we went full PEB.
  16. i picked up Sneggit and Mind Challengers for 99 cents US apiece last week- Sneggit is pretty fun! I do think it's weird, though, that Mind Challengers isn't called 'Video Games 2' in the States.
  17. looks like pretty significant buffer in that auction.
  18. which.. I see that pfleeman has a disk controller side car, disk drive, and Pirates Adventure/Adventure now too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TI-99-4a-Sidecar-Disk-Controller-PHP1800C-w-Floppy-Drive-PHP1850C-Tested-Works-/162550470349?hash=item25d8c356cd:g:cPYAAOSwjKFZPgSd
  19. i wasn't dismissing the price point per cart- i wanted to be able to 'compete' on the auction, but that's getting too high for my tastes. it was pretty cool watching the auction!
  20. I got sniped on a Pole Position cart and didn't want to pay over $25 for Shamus, but I *almost* have a complete Atarisoft set now! (Those are the two I lack, lol) One of the auctions from the seller for a lot of 100 carts went off for 230.50.
