looking super cool, as usual. from a longtime lurker on this thread thank you sincerely for putting in all the time/sweat/tears to this project that you do- definitely watching with interest.

I was just thinking about Microsurgeon- this game scared the willies out of me when I was but a tiny Pooka. Neat shooter, and the 994A gave some neat speech/sounds. I think this was one of Imagic's more imaginative games- heaven knows it was better than the 994A cart port of Demon Attack.

My wife and I always laugh about this game because of the movie 'Parenthood': "Well they're bad dudes- that's why they call the game 'Bad Dudes'." hehehehe

are you talking like on a jailbroken Switch, or official releases?

i think it's neat that there's not really any one way to play Animal Crossing, sort of like Stardew Valley. Something my wife likes to do is 'rerolling' her islands to see the different villagers, fruit, landscape, etc, just to see what's different. She'll play a bit, go 'eh', then start a new one. She does this in Stardew Valley, too. If she gets far enough in the island usually she'll pop over to mine in Local Play, drop off her stuff for later, then move on. Digital nomad! she feels bad in a way that she never 'progresses', but i always encourage her to play the way that SHE wants. if she gets enjoyment out of rerolling islands/farms/etc, i think that's FANTASTIC.

There's some pretty cool stuff! Some of my favorite threads are the game time tracker/'what are you playing'/'what did you finish' ones; it's neat to me to see what other folks are playing. i also found some neat youtube channels like the 'Battle of the Ports' one that i try to check.

yeah, it looks like the last few have been bug fixes. one fixes balloon behavior, the other fixed a bug where if a islander moved out you couldn't reuse the land (i think).

You know the cool thing about the 'Ignore' button? You can use it, too! That way everyone's happy. 😮

i dont have a lot of stuff anymore- just an AV-modded 2600 4-switcher and my TI 99 4/A setup (with the PEB). If I got to that point, I think I'd end up selling the TI kit, if only for the fact that the stuff weighs a TON and takes up a lot of space. this says a lot, because the TI has a great deal of nostalgic value to me.

I agree with @fiudr. I was excited about this before, but, what about if/when it releases? The fact of the matter in my eyes is that this console/concept is really no different than the Atari VCS- a pretty-ish box to play new-ish versions of games we saw 35 years ago. Frankly the Amico's Evangelist will be what turns people away from purchasing on release, not the console itself. Who wants the drama instead of *good* games?

as an aside, love your profile pic yeah, i'm seeing way more eggs than fish/fossils/etc and also the same behavior on the Nook Islands. it's going to slow down the progress of my KK Concert.

yes, yes it will, given how grindy it is. i got caught with that too since i picked H'annit- not that i didn't like her, but you can't rotate her out of your party.

sidetracking a bit, that's why it took me so darn long to beat Skyrim! lol which.. my wife has on the Switch. I'm not sure how many times for how many systems we bought that darn game. 😂

im with you on the open-world aspect- it makes it so much fun, but it also makes it really difficult for me because i couldn't focus on any one thing, lol. i did manage to finally beat the game, tho.

I was thinking about this game last night- https://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/pong-kombat had this ages ago but remembered it when the Boss and I were watching Mortal Kombat last night. lol

i haven't seen anything specifically related in-game to showing off pictures/custom designs/etc. because i'm lazy i created a burner Twitter account to upload my pics, but that's hardly in-game. the museum, of course, is only fish, fossils, and bugs. i find it really relaxing to just sit in the museum and watch the fish.

if you guys are into Mystery Science Theater their Twitch channel is streaming movies all day today. https://www.twitch.tv/mst3k It's been a nice distraction while I'm working.
