  1. it's interesting there's such a difference between scoring on the disk version and cartridge version.
  2. im one of the Animal Crossing suckers after watching my wife play for like 10 minutes on release day, lol. Animal Crossing (Switch) Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon (Switch) Street Fighter Alpha 2 (Arcade)
  3. https://www.dualshockers.com/gamestop-closed-pennsylvania-coronavirus/ Keep knockin em out of the park, boys!
  4. I get the sentiment behind the message, but try to look at this in perspective. Personally at this point id rather actually play video games so I think thats where im focusing my energies.
  5. *very* briefly we had pre-ordered Animal Crossing through them for my wife (with a nominal deposit, not full purchase price). She got to thinking about it, though, and decided that she'd rather have it digitally than having to fool with the cartridge all the time. We bought a larger MicroSD card for her Switch instead, and she was happily playing Animal Crossing when she got up for the day this morning. likely it won't be a drop in the bucket to them, but i think it's an interesting paradigm change considering that we were some of the last holdouts of our friends for physical-only copies of stuff.
  6. i translate that to 'we can't be held accountable to you guys if we don't set a timeline. aha!'
  7. those 500 consoles? not going to backers- going to devs. absolutely no timeline whatsoever on *when* backers will see them. https://medium.com/@atarivcs/atari-vcs-managing-the-unexpected-d87ac17b99df "As the Atari Group recently announced, we have confirmed delivery of enough parts by the end of March to build our first 500 Atari VCS production units. A good portion of these first Atari VCS units are earmarked as dev kits for developers. We believe it would be unfair to use the balance to fulfill only a small number of Indiegogo orders, so Atari’s plan is to ship to all backers at the same time when enough VCS units and peripherals are available."
  8. yanno, i think people that live in sock puppet houses shouldn't throw sock puppets.. or something.
  9. I thought you were going to stay out of this thread? 🤔 Or did someone say your name three times in the bathroom mirror so you'd appear?
  10. they look cool, but i'm not sure they are $8 cool.
  11. "These disruptions may in fact have an impact, notably with regards to the timetable, on the sourcing, production and shipment of the Atari VCS and of other Atari licensed products commercialized by our partners, as well as on the renewals of these licensing agreements, generators of profits and royalties for the Group. The Group continues to work on the renewal of licensing agreements and on the timetable for the Atari VCS." In other words 'You'll get nothing and like it!' It looks like the Ataribox will always be Chasing Amy-co.
  12. i know, right? the cutscene movies are hilarious to me, too. it's a surprisingly deep game.
  13. I mixed it up with two different consoles and a handful of games I finished out Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and hit level cap on my Operative in Borderlands 3. I picked up the Digital Deluxe of Starlink this weekend and spent some time messing with it. So far, it seems like a pretty cool space ship shooty game. Switch: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX -- 1083 minutes Starlink: Battle for Atlas -- 970 minutes XBox One: Borderlands 3 -- 679 minutes
  14. It'll be groundbreaking, and have 22 games or more!
  15. so.. the version that Gene Wilder starred in (that the Roald Dahl disliked) *was* a musical. Gene Wilder was nominated for a Golden Globe for 'Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy' but lost out to Fiddler on the Roof. Sunrise, sunset.....
  16. E.T., our pariah of the 2600 world, was going to be in a number of games for the TI 99 4A. https://www.videogamehouse.net/gamemain/cartsde/et/ I'm not sure on the legitimacy of the story with George Lucas, but I can say that I played the ET Frogger clone as a ROM and it's a pretty solid one.
  17. hehe Yep, my US is showing- it's a brand of toilet paper.
  18. You should've included a roll of Charmin as a bonus- they'd fly off the shelves.
  19. I'm editing this because my answer made no sense in retrospect, lol. It plays like a traditional top-down Legend of Zelda game (overworld and dungeons). There's two modes of gameplay you can choose from- one where you move/attack to the beat of the music and one where you don't have to rely on keeping in time. The maps are randomly generated.
  20. I was curious if anyone casually knew how much the Starlink physical ships from the Switch game are going for on average. The prices for completed auctions on eBay are all over the friggin' place. I just bought the Digital Deluxe (I think it's called), so I have no real desire to have the ships for playing, I do like plastic gewgaws, though, and they'd go good with my other plastic gewgaws. lol
  21. I have Metal Slug 3 for my Switch- it's my fave of the series.
