  1. Another one in the venerable Alpha/Zero series- Street Fighter Alpha 2 (Ken) (Arcade) SFA2 in a lot of ways is a really good improvement over SFA. More characters, more varied stages, just more all around. It seems like it controls smoother to me, but that could just be in my head.
  2. I always have to look the title of this silly game up every time because it's so long. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX (Switch) It's kind of grindy and samey (is that a word?) but it took me about 30 hours of messing around to finally finish the game. I enjoy mindless dungeon crawler games.
  3. I just picked up the StarLink Digital Deluxe Edition on the eshop since Ubisoft is running a sale till 3/30- it's a pretty fun game! Not super far in it yet but having a lot of fun. If you like rhythm games, give Cadence of Hyrule a look. I think there's a demo for that one.
  4. I forgot that I sunk some time into the TI994a port of Burgertime, so adding that as well. (edit edit- i added more time to SFA 1 and 2 from last night) Arcade: Street Fighter Alpha -- 240 minutes Street Fighter Alpha 2 -- 240 minutes TI-99/4A: BurgerTime -- 67 minutes
  5. if you haven't figured it out, i really like my switch. I highly recommend Mario/Rabbid Kingdom, Octopath, and Mario Odyssey. Yoshi is a really good game but super short (5-6 hours). Not sure, though, on stuff that isn't already on the PS4, since I bought a lot of ports for my Switch. The Switch version of Mario Kart 8 is pretty good, it folds in all the extra stuff from the Wii U. I'm not sure of release on other platforms, but the Collection of Mana compilation is really good. I stole my wife's copy. Check out the new Fire Emblem game, as well. I'd keep an eye on the Trials of Mana remake, it should be out (soon), along with Torchlight 3.
  6. if you're willing to buy the hardware, there's also the Arcade 1UP machine- but i guess it depends on your restrictions and where you draw the line for emulation.
  7. seriously, though, not sure. i wonder if you'd get a response if you emailed some of the smaller game companies out there?
  8. Something about F1JV's IGG post seems eerily familiar- almost like there was a YouTube channel that had Gaming Videos with similar type language. 🤔
  9. i was thinking about this bit from Office Space this morning: Bob Slydell : What you do at Initech is you take the specifications from the customer and bring them down to the software engineers? Tom Smykowski : Yes, yes that's right. Bob Porter : Well then I just have to ask why can't the customers take them directly to the software people? Tom Smykowski : Well, I'll tell you why, because, engineers are not good at dealing with customers. Bob Slydell : So you physically take the specs from the customer? Tom Smykowski : Well... No. My secretary does that, or they're faxed. Bob Porter : So then you must physically bring them to the software people? Tom Smykowski : Well. No. Ah sometimes. Bob Slydell : What would you say you do here? Tom Smykowski : Well-well look. I already told you: I deal with the god damn customers so the engineers don't have to. I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people. Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?
  10. i was dorking around using JS99er to play at work- and probably should've been doing something useful. lol i'll fire up the real iron later today and see what i can manage. heck, i might even go the full nine and use my cartridge instead of my FG99! 😂
  11. is cool, but i think it's kind of funny the description for Extended Basic- "C) 1980 TI Extended Basic (RARE)"
  12. my gosh, competition is gonna be stiff for this one- better get my volume down!
  13. Burgertime (TI994A) Street Fighter Alpha (Arcade) Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX (Switch)
  14. oh now that's a low blow, Bacon Boy. 😂 Obviously the answer is Crysis. For a more serious answer, I think games like 'Way of the Exploding Fist' or 'Flashback' would not be ideally suited for the Amico- or anything that requires a template of more than about 10 keys.
  15. Whats the worst game that could be brought to the Amico?
  16. 500 of 10000 consoles to be produced late march/early april. https://www.atari-investisseurs.fr/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/2020-03-10-CP-Avicii-VCS-Blockchain-VEN.pdf
  17. lol- 500 manufactured out of TEN THOUSAND consoles. wonder which lucky pige...backers get them?
  18. Two games on the the Modern tracker this week, both Switch titles. Maybe I'll see some XBox One time once the BL3 xpac drops later this month. Switch: Moonlighter -- 728 minutes Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX -- 1294 minutes I trudged on last week with the 'NPC simulator' in Moonlighter- I'm at the next-to-last dungeon of the game and was working on building up gear (somewhat). The new pickup is the remake of a Pokemon game with a crazy long name, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX (Turbo Hyper Fighting Edition, ha). The game is charming with its presentation and characters- the only caveat is that if you are looking for a grand adventure and something that's not samey and grindy, you're going to find it sorely lacking. If you don't mind the grind and exploring the dungeons with your Pokemon pals, it's a pretty solid game so far.
  19. I'm finished with Classic Gaming this week since I picked up a new Switch game. Arcade: Final Fight -- 128 minutes Street Fighter Alpha -- 380 minutes Street Fighter Alpha 2 -- 27 minutes Street Fighter III: Third Strike -- 16 minutes I spent my Classic Gaming time beating things up with some classics from Capcom. Street Fighter Alpha/Zero is my fave fighting game of all time and Final Fight ranks up with Streets of Rage 2 as my favorite beat-em-up.
  20. I'm team 'Streets of Rage 2' for the soundtrack, for me that's hands-down the best one. I had briefly considered getting the LPs but figured I would better spend my money elsewhere, hehe. I didn't play Altered Beast a ton in the arcade, but I had it on the Genesis- 'Wise from your gwave!' hehehe
  21. Doing a search for 'Star Trek Taco' I got this image:
