"If the console has been opened and cleaned, this should be a red flag to the buyer because an opened Atari is no longer completely "original" because it may have been tampered or damaged in some way. I would never consider buying a Heavy Sixer that has been opened unless I know for sure that the person who opened it was a professional." Oh please I didn't realise the dust added to the value

Won this Seemed like a decent deal to me, just wondering on the rarity of some the disk games listed? From what I'm led to believe the Mario ones are reasonably rare, don't know about the rest. Hoping someone can clarify this for me. Cheers

Got an old Atari 2600 Tackball controller ther other (yellow ball with two round buttons). Can anyone give me some advice on how to service it? It rolls quite smoothly but seems to make a bit of noise. Don't know if thats how its supposed to be, but I figure some lube on the rollers would be a good idea? Cheers

Come on, surely someone out there owns this piece of sh*t and wants to get rid of it??
-
I wrote that, and that is about what they go for....believe it or not! I have seen about a half dozen trade hands, and that is what they went for (a few were not yellowed from age, and went higher). All I can say is: Got a better deal than I expected then.

It does look pretty complete, the only thing you want to make sure is that has that pesky game cable, it has quite a bizzare plug on it. Although I'm told other Odyssey pong machines used the same thing so it wouldnt be too hard to source another. While we're talking about the Odyssey, I got one off eBay a while back for $150, with everything coming in a nice grey hard plastic case (with the Odyssey logo embossed on it). DP reckons this case alone is worth $100, surely that's not right??

Hi everyone Was cleaning up an old Intellivision ECS module inside out, took out the shielding and circuit boards and notice as loose black wire that had run from the underside of the PCB onto somewhere near the edge connector (on the top side of the circuit board) that usuallys plugs into the main intellivsion unit. The problem is I can't see any sign of where this black wire was connected to, seems to be a clean break off the circuit! Can't seem to track down any schematics so I'm hoping someone knows what I'm talking about can help me. Cheers

Maybe my choice of words was a bit harsh e.g. making the seller pay for his mistake might've sounded like he should suffer severe punishment of some kind. Naturally I meant he should just swallow the cost. Tough one though isn't it?

Won an auction for an atari trackball recently. The seller provided me with an ebay invoice, which I assumed included the correct postage. I paid, and he sent the item. Then today I get this: "hi you won an auction from me for an atari trac-ball the listed shipping cost was 8.50 the actual shipping cost came to 14.90 because it has to go 1/2 way round the world the difference is 6.40..." Obviously the seller made an error with the postage cost, but does that make me liable for the difference? I could've sworn the eBay emails state where the winner is from and the ship-to location? Most likely I'll pay for the difference, but I'll wait till I receive the goods so I know how much the postage did actually cost (14.90 does sound about right). Anyway, what would you do? Pay the difference or make the seller pay for his oversight?

I realise it'd be the same sound on TV as the Chanel F beeper, maybe 'convenient' wouldve been a better word Cheers
-
Do they exist? From having a peek into the Astrocade, the RF modulator connects to the mainboard via an edge connector, so I imagine if you knew what signals were on what tracks you could do an a/v mod of some kind? As for the Channel F i'd assume its possible as well? Would much prefer TV sound than the on-board beeper Cheers

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8118865873 I saw one of these sell the other day for about 30+ US for the keyboard and about 20+ US for the computer module. The digital press has a rarity of 6, but apparently the brown is rarer? Cheers

I think one was about 10 EUR in postage, which was supposed to be air mail, the other i paid about 10-15 USD (surface w/ tracking #), and the one from march was about 20 EUR from memory (registered/insured surface, dont have a tracking # though).
-
It was a smallish package of low value, about 20 euros, so I doubt there'd be a customs problem with it. As far as I know all the parcels were mailed with the German Postal service. I have a tracking number for one of them, and all that comes up is that it entered an international mail facility a few days after it was lodged!
-
Glad i'm not the only one Mind you, I've had some stuff from the US get sent by surface mail and turn up in a week! Not that I was complaining
-
I hope some of the German guys can answer this, because I can't! Anyway, I'm in Australia. I have three different parcels coming from Germany. The first one was sent late March by insured, registered surface mail. Still not here. Another one was sent about 6 weeks or more ago, for which I have a tracking number for. No problem. I have another parcel sent via air mail that has been at least 4 weeks and still not here! I haven't experienced anything like this. I've had goods arrive from the Netherlands much much faster! Can anyone explain what casues this? I'm happy to wait but I would've thought the one from March would've turned up by now? Cheers

Working or not, doesn't really bother me either way. 3DO Mice do exist I've been told NB: I'm located in Australia Cheers.
