Thanks. Considering I'm in Australia, makes it very satisfying to have some of these rare & unusual beasts. The sad part is besides eBay there is no real way of me getting them without paying the going rate for it Oh how I envy you guys in the States picking things up for next to nothing

Hi everyone Been lucky enough to get my hands on an old Coleco Telstar Arcade (the triangular shaped one) - except there is no power supply From doing a few searches, it seems some people claim Atari 2600 power supplies will work fine (9V DC @ 500ma, centre +ve). Although someone else has posted the specs from an 'original' telstar arcade power supply which is 3V DC @ 200ma, centre +ve. Now i'm confused, surely if you supply three times the voltage the poor console stands a good chance of getting fried?? So does the 2600 power supply work? Or do I need 3V DC @ 200ma? Cheers

Hi everyone Recieved my 5200 in the post today, unfortunately it suffered a beating in transit and the front trim panel (below the silver strip on the face of the unit) has been broken in two places and come apart. Being in Australia I know there is no way to get a replacement here. Can someone direct me to where I might be able to acquire another one? Or should I just try to get another 5200? Cheers

Hi everyone I'm doing some research on the best/greatest video games over the years. I've perused various forums here which have helped me uncover a few sources but I would greatly appreciate if people could help me find magazines, newsletters, etc. that have produced such a list for all, some or specific game platforms? Doesn't matter what platform it is. The only problem is that because this research is for a University paper - I can't go on persona opinions - it has to be some kind of official publication (these hold 'crediblity' in the university world ) It doesn't matter how old the magazines are, what games are listed and what everyone's opinions are, I'm just trying to track down as many good sources as I can. Here's a list of the ones I know of at this point in time: Amstrad Action (Issue 76 & 100) Edge Magazine (Issue 80 / Jan 2000 and October 2003) EGM (Nov 97 / Possibly Jan 2004?) Entertainment Weekly (Issue 709) FHM (Jan 2004) Game Informer (Issue 127 / Nov 2003) Hyper Magazine (Australian publication, Feb 1995) Next Generation (Issue 50 / Feb 99) PSE2 (Issue 100) Retro Gamer (Issue 1) IGN's top 100 I'm sure there are others, and given the amount of knowledge amongst everyone here it shouldn't be a too difficult task. One last question, can someone direct me as to where I could purchase PSE2 Issue 100, as well as the current issue of the UK Nintendo Official Magazine? I live in Australia and I've never seen these publications here! Thanks in advance. Cheers.

Hi there, Can anyone direct/tell me any publications that had a greatest/top games list for the 2600/5200/7800 or XE machines? As it's for university research I can't just use opinions of forum members (they're probably better judges, but hey), it has to be in some kind of official magazine/newsletter or something of that nature. I've had a look at the old mags stored on this site and I think there's a couple within that, but the more the better Also if anyone knows of any 80s-early 90s lists that cover all/other systems from that time, then that would be helpful as well. Thanks in advance. Cheers
